19/07/2026: Found almost by chance on Maps while visiting relatives in Canosa, this osteria was a wonderful surprise. We booked by phone, and it was a great move: there's not a lot of seating inside, and even though there are more tables on the main street, in the summer heat we decidedly preferred the inside, which is perfectly air-conditioned. There's no set menu here, but the host passionately explains the daily specials. We started with a selection of exquisite appetizers: about a dozen small selections, each one better than the last. Wanting to try a traditional first course, we were won over by the Strascinate di grano arso (a type of burnt wheat pasta) with zucchini flowers (local cucuzza greens): simply fantastic! Satisfied with the first courses and appetizers, we had to skip the second course and move straight to a delicious selection of local desserts. The house rosé wine was also excellent, and the amaro (a bitter bitter) definitely deserves a mention. The value for money is exceptional. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth a visit!

02/06/2026: On both occasions we had a very warm welcome, very attentive service, after a brief chat about the wine we left it the manager to recommend a nice local rose, which was a very lovely wine and wasn't anywhere near the most expensive either. Susumaniello Rosato Salento @€22 a bottle. The food very well presented, tasted great and arrives hot and in good time, wait time wasn't long between courses, the pasta with braised cheek ragu and the Gold smoke burger were delicious, the Captain Bacon burger was a very good size portion and very tasty, we just need to go back and try some of the steaks from the amazing selection they have in their dry aging fridge, right on the harbour front, lovely location, I could honestly eat there lunch and dinner for a week and always find something great. Can't recommend this place highly enough. The sun dried tomato butter that comes out with the bread basket is also not to be missed

30/06/2026: We were looking for a place for a family aperitif. We had a wonderful time. The aperitif for two offers delicious and unusual dishes. The crostini with salmon tartare are a riot of flavor. I can't wait to go back to try the rest.

28/06/2026: What can I say... a dinner that deserves top marks! Starting with the menu items, which are never banal and incredibly delicious. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, not to mention the vast selection of wines. The food speaks for itself :)

09/08/2026: We chose the restaurant based on the reviews we'd read. It's a small, pleasant place, but very noisy. Between the noisy children, barking dogs, and a noisy group of about 20 people, it was hard to hear the other diners at the table (4 people). The service was impeccable, professional, and fast. The appetizers were adequate, but the three first courses we ordered unfortunately didn't meet our expectations. The troccoli with zucchini, walnuts, and pecorino cheese were a bit bland, as were the cavatelli with sausage and eggplant. In fact, in both cases, the vegetables were pureed and both were bland, again to our personal taste. The mezze maniche with ragù was adequate. The mixed grill with baked potatoes was good. The price was average.

15/05/2026: Fantastic food, with meticulous attention to detail, from the raw fish to the selection of olive oil. The use of raw ingredients is excellent, especially the pasta with sea urchins, which were treated with respect without negatively altering the flavor, preserving their authenticity. Excellent and friendly service.

08/07/2026: A fantastic location for watching the sun set over the Tavoliere delle Puglie, with a view that sweeps from Pollino to Gargano, passing through Vulture, while enjoying an excellent aperitif. A unique experience with an unusual and refined taste. I only gave the service a 3, "too efficient" in my opinion, in clearing away the dishes at the end or finishing them in such a relaxed and natural setting. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, and it's an aspect that could easily be improved and which, for some, could even be a reason for the service's merit.
