15/07/2025: During a pleasant stroll through the streets of Noci, I stumbled upon the bakery "Il Dolce Forno da Ambrogio," a true gem of Puglia's culinary tradition. Drawn by the aromas wafting through the air, I decided to stop for a quick snack—which, given the time (around 7:00 PM), turned into a sort of impromptu Apricena. Behind the counter, I found the owner, Ambrogio, who, in addition to managing the business with care and dedication, proved kind, welcoming, open to conversation, and extremely knowledgeable. A true example of Puglian hospitality. I ordered a half wheel of focaccia—golden, fragrant, perfectly leavened, and expertly baked—and a Peroni beer, the perfect accompaniment to such a traditional treat. All for just €4 for two: a symbolic price for such a satisfying break. The touch of color? The local spirit is palpable in the details, like the playful yet genuine motto that accompanies the selection of drinks: "Sce sà ce t’bbéve!" "You know what you're drinking!"—a dialect expression that captures all the pride of an authentic and genuine tradition. In short, if you find yourself in Noci or the surrounding area and feel the need to satisfy a craving or simply treat yourself to a moment of local flavor, Il Dolce Forno da Ambrogio is a highly recommended stop.
