Retrogusto lives up to the highest standards of Italian charme and hospitality. A tucked away corner popping up unexpectedly from the cobblestone streets connecting important sites of Brindisi's old town (you just can't miss the nearby archeological museum Francesco Ribezzo, outstanding yet virtually unkown), this place will surprise you with its quaint atmosphere, welcoming vibe and courteous professionalism. The staff is very kind, competent and warm, making you feel at home all along, while preparing the top cocktails in the process! Make it a must stop in Brindisi 💗

31/03/2025: Great place off the beaten track. Shockingly, there were no crowds yesterday (a plus for me) and I'm surprised because there's a really great atmosphere there!

28/06/2025: We had the pleasure of being guests at Osteria Nonna Rosa on the occasion of a dinner with friends, let's start with the very beautiful and central location, very well-kept place, kind and professional staff, excellent seafood appetizers both raw and cooked and the first courses. A really nice discovery! Approved!!

25/06/2025: We came to Italy looking for new and better flavors than anything we'd ever tried before. After 10 days of visiting and eating in Italy, we found it at Blue Eyes. We ordered a shrimp bowl as a starter, fresh and flavorful. For the main course, I ordered the chef's pesto noodles, and it was the best pasta of my life—no exaggeration, very aromatic, smooth, and delicious. My husband ordered the 750g mixed fritters, and it was also a delight—very fresh and flavorful. For dessert, tiramisu: speechless. The only downside is that it's not in a great location, but everything else doesn't disappoint; on the contrary: an Italian marvel! A cool atmosphere on these hot days. Congratulations on this restaurant, which is also very affordable. Thanks for this experience! We'll be back to try more dishes.

18/06/2025: I was on June 1st in this wonderful rustic and family-friendly place, I ordered: a gateau of potatoes in Norcia style, a plate of trofie in Calabria style, and finally a slice of meat with parmesan, all of which was truly delicious. The prices are really affordable for those who want to have a complete meal with a tasty first course, second course, side dish and dessert. I will definitely return, to try other dishes from a large menu.

05/08/2025: Recommended by our hotel (which was amazing) But sadly food service and atmosphere were a let down. We had the 5 sapori starter - which was 7/10. Local flavours nicely prepared. Mains had Ciceri e tria and the millefoglie of Seabass. The sea bass was overcooked and ciceri was ok but overcooked. The worst bit was the wine. We ordered a reasonably expensive bottle, they arrived with a different bottle (retails at 50% of what we ordered) and they charged us the same. It felt a bit like a tourist trap and somewhat dishonest. Came away feeling like we had overpaid for a pretty mediocre meal.

29/07/2025: A disastrous experience from start to finish. Soulless cuisine, contemptuous service, and zero attention to the customer. You have to wonder if they’ve ever actually tasted the food they serve. The risotto was dumped onto the plate like in a cheap cafeteria. The fish? Boiled, flavorless, most likely reheated, and I seriously doubt it was fresh. And to top it all off: unpleasant, borderline rude staff who make no effort to understand the order. This restaurant is a disgrace — a perfect example of what hospitality should never be.

01/07/2025: I love the pizza here! The dough is smooth and amazing! The pasta is okay but not really my liking! Big portion with fair prices love it! We chose pizza norcina 2 and we didnt regret it! Also the wine della casa tastes very good😉

12/05/2025: We found a. Cozy place, fantastic pizzas of the past, and then the impeccable service. The very kind girl who took the orders, even though we were a table of 8... and there was a mess in the room, they were very quick. Finally, the prices of a Margherita of 3 euros once upon a time hadn't been seen in a lifetime. We will definitely be back with a few more friends ☺️

23/03/2025: Sono consapevole che i prezzi sono bassi, ma questo non può prescindere dalla qualità. Sono stato ieri sera con alcuni amici. Ingredienti di bassa qualità e nel complesso pizza immangiabile. Mi dispiace sul serio ma non torneremo !

03/08/2025: It feels like stepping back in time — locals from all over Italy come here to enjoy an excellent pizza, and many even reserve their tables in advance. We really loved it here. The food is affordable, yet the quality is outstanding! We’ll always remember this place, especially because we couldn’t find a spot at the nearby restaurant, which led us here instead.

30/07/2025: They don't make gluten-free pizza. The dough is gluten-free, but it's all contaminated. They knead the gluten-free dough on the same surface as regular pizza, and the toppings are the same.

30/07/2025: This is a beautiful spot to come and relax. This 300 year old farm is beautiful and quiet, and the host Matteo was welcoming and super helpful.
