05/04/2025: Excellent food, local ravioli, artisanal ragù and truly top-notch tomato soup. They have a gluten-free menu and remarkable customer attention from the beginning to the end of the experience. If I have to find a flaw, the cutlet was a little too bready compared to the thin slice of meat. But perfection doesn't exist and I will definitely return to eat the pasta or other dishes and taste the magnificent gluten-free desserts on display!! Fair prices. Congratulations to whoever manages the place. Highly recommended.

15/03/2025: We love coming here whenever we are around Benabbio. It'a small, family run restaurant with good regional food with some international staples. The sparkling white wine and gnocchi in a sweet cherry tomato sauce with a sprinkle of ricotta are something I still dream of and order repeatedly. This is not a fancy restaurant, rather a homey, straight forward place. The prices are affordable. The wait time is usually short. Unless it's a holiday or a day with a special menu (check their Facebook for upates), then I recommend booking a table in advance. The owners are wonderful people - very helpful and attentive. Giovanni's pizzas are one of a kind, with a crispy thin crust and you can watch him bake them in the oven. We especially recommend getting one with mascarpone as it balances all the textures beautifully. You can always ask Alessandra to help you pick a dish or if they have any specials, and you won't be dissapointed. There are also seasonal dishes based on fresh seafood or mushrooms depending on the time of year. Another must-try are their desserts and pasta fritta with cheese and prosciutto as an appetizer!

13/02/2025: La pizza è buona e ben condita, ma abbastanza piccola. Soprattutto è molto cara. Locale carino, servizio perfetto, personale gentile. Quello che mi ha deluso è vedere che la pizza senza glutine costa 15€ qualunque sia il condimento. Di sicuro è una pizza congelata e cotta nel microonde. Ma quello che mi fa più rabbia è lo scarso rispetto nei confronti di coloro che l'intolleranza al glutine se la sono ritrovata, non l'hanno scelta!

09/03/2025: Lunch spent with friends, I had never been before, the view over the entire plain of Lucca was beautiful. Very good and plentiful food, very good homemade pasta, you can feel that it is fresh as soon as you put it in your mouth, delicious tortelli, fettuccine with buckwheat and truffle, (real truffle) not the sauces, very good pappardelle with wild boar (for wild boar ask if they have it because you can't find it on the menu) The grilled meat was excellent and the dessert was the apple puff pastry with super vanilla ice cream! Very good prices and excellent red house wine. If you want to go, call well in advance because it is difficult to find a place as it is very small inside, while in the summer I think it also has outdoor tables.

11/03/2025: Truly exceptional product quality. I recommend the pizza tour which expresses the passion of the owner/pizza chef to the maximum, combining quality products in a perfect way. The fried pizza is absolutely worth trying, very tasty and incredibly digestible and light. To conclude in a perfect way there is the fried pizza with Nutella, UNIQUE! The staff is very attentive and always courteous.

10/03/2025: At the suggestion of friends we went to this pizzeria. A slightly noisy place and station restaurant-like decor are not exactly the strong points of a restaurant that boasts a display of trophies that would be the envy of many and which raise expectations. Let's move on to the pizzas, from the gourmet menu we chose an autumn calzone and a fried pizza with mortadella. The inviting appearance, marred perhaps by a pair of dressmaker's scissors accompanying one of the dishes (I would eliminate them from the presentation). The dough is excellent and crunchy, a note on the filling is that the temperature of the mortadella is too cold and the porcini mushrooms of the calzone are not very good and have grains of sand inside them, a characteristic that betrays the foreign origin of the raw material (I wouldn't put them in a gourmet proposal). Finally, the price was too high, 62 euros for two pizzas and three beers. 40 euros just for good but not excellent pizzas is really excessive, and is not even justified by the service or the place. I hope that the comment is not misunderstood and is considered as a starting point for improvement: a championship pizza deserves to be served in an up-to-date place, and the price must be balanced with the product served and the experience of the evening. 25/02/2025: In this little restaurant we found by chance we received a friendly welcome on a rainy day. It was already very late and elsewhere it would have been impossible to eat something hot, we were ready to settle for anything, but in the end it turned out to be a pretty good lunch. Tordelli lucchesi with ragù, pork loin with roast potatoes, dessert and coffee. Simple and familiar place, friendly owners, you immediately feel at home.

18/02/2025: An authentic Italian restaurant. Very tasty, fresh food. Both the owner and the serving staff are very kind. I recommend the pasta, I tried spaghetti ragu and ravioli. Wonderful!
