09/12/2024: Accoglienza super, io e la mia ragazza siamo arrivati con il cane e ci hanno subito dato una ciotola con l'acqua per la cagnetta. Il personale gentile ci ha fatti sentire come a casa. Il cibo era molto buono e quello avanzato ci è stato incartato con cura per potercelo portare a casa. Prezzo molto basso per la quantità e qualità dei piatti. Infine ci hanno regalato un muffin al cioccolato, così per gentilezza. é stato molto piacevole e lo consiglierò ad amici e parenti

I would have preferred the focaccia to be crunchier but still very good. To return with friends... possibility of eating by the plate or by the slice. Recommended!!!

Superlative service to say the least from the two waiters, who managed to find a solution to our requests with great professionalism and understanding. Attentive and very polite service. Excellent dishes. Despite that the restaurant was crowded. Really very good. Congratulations 👏.

04/12/2024: The first time I chose the “Da Gherardo” restaurant by chance because there are many restaurants on the amphitheater square. But after an incomparably delicious dinner, I always plan at least one visit to this restaurant during my stay in Lucca. If someone (Gherardo) can stay in the same place for forty years, then he is doing something right. The service is friendly, attentive and fast and the dishes are all fantastic. I can recommend "Da Gherardo" without hesitation.

11/11/2024: Il punto di forza è l'ubicazione, in Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, per il resto tanta delusione nonostante le recensioni positive. Nonostante avessimo prenotato, arrivati super puntuali, ci hanno fatto aspettare oltre 45 minuti per portarci una portata sola: un piatto di tordelli al ragù, buoni ma niente di eccezionale, per il mio piatto ho aspettato ancora una decina di minuti ed è arrivato freddo, il pollo era un pezzetto buono l'altro filaccioso e duro, mi ero raccomandata ben cotto, ma così non era. Avevo chiesto all'inizio una teiera di acqua calda che hanno dimenticato, quando l'ho chiesta nuovamente mi è arrivata piena di polvere e tutta sbeccata, non proprio una bella presentazione. almeno non mi hanno fatto pagare l'acqua calda nel brutto contenitore....anche perché sarebbe stato uno scandalo.... Il conto comunque per un pasto completo ovvero un primo, un secondo, un dolce e due coperti, 40,00 euro, lo avrei speso volentieri se le pietanze ed il servizio, molto caotico e disorganizzato fosse stato all'altezza... Avevano già finito le pizze all'una per un errore della cucina nel preparare poco impasto..... Insomma meglio evitare e cercare un altro posto.
