29/06/2025: As far as the food goes, yes, but I have to make concessions when it comes to the service. The salad and pasta arrived at the same time, and then you had to ask for vinegar and oil. It took forever (about 20 minutes). They walked past five or six times, apparently they were too busy (it was 37 degrees today). I would have liked dessert, but that was also of interest. At least the payment process was quicker this time; I think that was the manager.

08/06/2025: Beautiful discovery in Omegna, a small historic place with a veranda welcomed us with such kindness and care. The food is an explosion of flavors! The menu is always changing but you have to try their cold cuts and cheeses, you will be amazed by the tastes!

01/06/2025: Huge 'normal' pizzas 40 cm 'baby 30 cm, very good. Mine was with porchetta, roast potatoes, truffle cheese and rosemary. Excellent and special. The waitresses were very kind, the place is really nice with the drawings of Dante Alighieri with witty captions. Dante brings a pizza to the devil asking: 'is it for her the diavola'

23/06/2025: Great find in Belgirate. My Pachieri with calamari an mousse of peas sounded like an unlikely combination, but was excellent. The service was excellent and the terrasse overlooking the lake was a great spot. Will be back to try the pizza!

19/06/2025: The place is nice and welcoming, the staff is kind and professional but with the cuisine we are not there. The crispy octopus served on a mashed potato was too dry. The paccheri cream of peas and squid insignificant in flavor. There is better, even on Lake Maggiore!

15/06/2025: I've had some very nice meals here in the past, but today's experience was rather disappointing. We seem to have made the mistake of choosing the menu. Each of the 3 courses was very small, about half the size of the same dishes when ordered a la carte. Also, the quality of some of the ingredients used left something to be desired. The cut of meat used for the tartar wasn't great, and the panna cotta was seemingly made with vanilla paste with vanillin flavouring instead of real vanilla. I think for the quite high prices one can expect better quality. The service, sadly, wasn't up to scratch either. We had one set of cutlery for the 3 courses. After the starter my knife was covered in egg yolk from the tartar, so I left it on the plate, expecting it to be replaced. The waiter took it off the plate and placed it back on the table. It remains to be said that the setting of the Grotto Sant'Anna is very nice indeed.

14/06/2025: Passing through on our way back from the weekend we grabbed a pizza with the idea of ​​making a quick pit stop. Quick service and good pizza, thin and crispy. Now it's a regular stop.

02/06/2025: Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, aber gewisse Abzüge in der kulinarischen Ausgestaltung. Das Lokal ist sehr schön, die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich habe das vollständige Degustationsmenü gewählt. Vorweg: Es ist seinen Preis wert. Und trotzdem hat es mich nicht vollständig überzeugt. Häufig ist in den einzelnen Gängen etwas zu viel.. sei es an der Menge (z.B. beim Gruss aus der Küche oder beim warmen Voressen oder dann an der Menge an Brot - das grenzt an Lebensmittelverschwendung...) oder an den verschiedenen Fleischkonstellationen (z.B. beim warmen Voressen). Der Blaukäse war toll, aber so intensiv, dass er bis in den süssen Nachtisch hinein präsent war (Zabaione). Dieses wiederum war hervorragend, falls man es auf das Zabione aus der Pfanne begrenzt hätte (all das bunte Süsszeug auf dem Teller war eigentlich unnötig und hat von der Essenz des Zabiones abgelenkt). Ähnlich war es beim warmen Voressen... der Apfel in den Voltini (oder was es war) hätte einen saureren Geschmack haben dürfen. Noch einmal: Das war ein sehr schöner kulinarischer Abend und er war es wert. Aber ich wünsche der Küche mehr Fokus auf den reinen Geschmack...

12/06/2025: What a hidden gem in a fantastic location. I have rarely eaten better. This lady (Sabina) is a Master Chef for me, I will not soon forget the ravioli with parmesan and truffle. 29/06/2025: Very friendly manager and staff. The breakfast buffet was definitely worth the money. Our corner room had a somewhat small bathroom with a bathtub. Everything seemed newly renovated, and we had a small balcony with a lake view. Right on the street. Unfortunately, the street noise was a bit loud at peak times. But nothing that wouldn't stop us from booking again. Very animal-friendly. Our small dog was very welcome, even on the pebble beach. Water shoes are recommended. Sunbeds with umbrellas and towels were free. The town of Stresa was about 3 km away. Easily accessible on foot along the road. Not advisable due to the narrow streets. We recommend this small, friendly hotel. The price-performance ratio is excellent. Several German TV channels and free Wi-Fi (only available in the hotel)

29/06/2025: Unfortunately, a cloud of dust hung over the mountains the entire day, so the mountains couldn't show off their beautiful beauty. The hotel is a lovingly run family business. Rekardo, who spoke good German, helped us a lot, e.g., (helped us jump-start our motorcycle), explained things, and gave us tips. A great hotel team. Thank you for the lovely, full breakfast.

23/03/2025: We stopped for dinner on the way to Saas Fee. A friend recommended this place for a quick, tasty and inexpensive meal for four. He himself comes here regularly. We ordered pizzas, squid and wine. The squid was delicious, tender, crispy on the surface. The squid dish was large. The pizzas were very large, thin. I couldn't even eat half of mine, it was tasty, but a lot. Even my boyfriend didn't eat it all. The leftovers were packed in a box for us to take with us on the road. We liked everything, maybe we'll stop by again on the way back.

27/06/2025: Large and comfortable environment (a little cold for me but I don't like air conditioning), fast very friendly especially two waitresses who were really kind. Price in line with AYCE standards if it were a little less I would come more often but super honest and... fortune cookies to conclude! 😀
