19/06/2025: We got a table for two without a reservation on a Thursday evening (at 7 p.m.; the restaurant was full a little later). A very pleasant atmosphere, good service despite the busy times, and excellent food. Excellent, modern, upscale Mediterranean cuisine—we would happily eat there again next time we're in Stresa.

02/06/2025: This is clearly not a michelin table. For anyone used to french michelin table (I'm not talking about stars or anything) please don't be fulled. When a client is asking for a non alcoholic drink and the only thing you have to propose is sprits without proposing anything else when the client is not interested, this is not a michelin. The menu is made of paper sheets, decorated with oil drops 👌 this is not a michelin. The quality of the starters, well, there is no balance in the tastes, the salade is thrown in the plate the sauces are too acidic. For the plate, you don't put aluminium paper around a potato in a michelin table plate, nothing is neat, from the poor salad leaves that are lost in the plate, the stuffing is grossly cut, no balance in the tastes. This is really the level of an average braaserie you'll find in france, and that you'll forget about. Let's skip the dessert cause it is of the same level really. I was scared of another tourist trap, well I should have thought twice before going there.

27/05/2025: Lunch break with friends, fast service, wide choice on the daily menu and very large and varied side dish buffet, abundant and pleasant dishes. Reasonable cost, just right for the service and the food offered.

08/06/2025: A very nice, cozy hotel with beautiful rooms and an amazing view. The hospitality here is hard to beat. As a welcome gift, you receive a small meal and a drink. You don't get that at many other hotels. What's more, you're shown around the hotel and even escorted to your room. That's outstanding service! Thank you! :)

31/05/2025: A young couple running the refuge, smiling and kind, with whom it is also a pleasure to have a nice chat, amazing cheeses made by them and very good food, room with its own private bathroom. Recommended for spending a weekend in the middle of nature

07/07/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us. Various descriptions said: Excellent preparation using the finest regional produce. Never before has the reality been so far from it. The outward journey was a beautiful, expectant, winding drive through a breathtaking landscape. The return journey was the same, only with the knowledge that it was best never to have entered this restaurant.

05/07/2025: The owner spontaneously helped us with a parking space for the night for our caravan. At the table we were warmly welcomed by the owner and enjoyed delicious food in an authentic, local atmosphere.

14/05/2025: Visited at the opening of the season for lunch, an excellent base for visiting AlpeVeglia and the surrounding area. Good and plentiful cuisine. Very friendly and easy-going managers. Definitely worth returning to.

17/06/2025: Honestly I expected more from the reviews I had read. The food is good, the only thing is the portions, very small and high prices. For example: the much praised "coccio", very good, really small portion, same thing goes for the mixed fried lake food.

26/05/2025: Cute cafe. Not directly on the lake, but still right in the middle of it. Great, tasty drinks at a great price. Service was very attentive and friendly. And you can also people-watch while you enjoy your meal. Perfect

30/05/2025: A person who lives in Verbania recommended it to me, but I'm not sure if he's from Verbania, because I was looking for a place to spend a few hours working. Very pleasant atmosphere, top music, but the difference is made by the people. The managers are kind and helpful, there is good wifi and tables inside or outside. The menu is particularly interesting, with also vegetarian and abundant dishes. I definitely have to thank the person who recommended it to me, really special ❤️

11/07/2025: Overall, the food wasn't bad, and the service was friendly and attentive. However, in my opinion, the menu wasn't suitable for the summer season and was executed with many technical inaccuracies. The restaurant's positive reputation raised expectations, but it seemed like a novice chef was in the kitchen. Coincidence? I hope so... for their sake.

02/07/2025: Inadequate quality/price 2 minimal portions of pasta 2 bottles of water and 2 coffees 21 to leave still hungry, the view of the lake rewards if you eat outside

29/05/2025: The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was super nice! The portions are a bit pricey for the size (especially the appetizers), but that wouldn't stop me from going back. It's nice to know, though :) Great taste and super welcoming service :)

Solo due appunti: porzioni non proprio abbondanti- soprattutto la tagliata, carne eccellente ma scarsa- e dolci che non hanno incontrato il mio gusto: non si può, a mio parere, avere in carta come torte solo un tortino caldo e una torta di carote

21/06/2025: The food was amazing! Unfortunately we had the worst table and it was basically used as a service table. The empty plates and the bottles of all the other tables were constantly put on our table, while the other tables were served. So we had half eaten seafood plates on our table while we ate our courses.. delicious food, but when i pay 500 Euros for 2 people i expect something better.

28/05/2025: Recommended and not to be missed. Excellent food and service, good wine list. Veranda on the lake that alone is worth the trip
