17/05/2025: Excellent restaurant: we knew it was a high-level restaurant, but expectations were exceeded!! Exceptional flavors, also accompanied by particular attention to service and setting. The quality-price ratio is also very good, considering the very high quality of the offer!

29/06/2025: It was recommended to us by the owner of the property where we were staying and we were very satisfied. Good value for money, varied menu, characteristic location, very beautiful in the center of Stresa in a beautiful little square.

01/07/2025: A beautiful location with an atmospheric and unusual interior. Everything was immaculately maintained, including the restrooms. The quality of the food and drinks exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly, competent, and attentive. As a vegetarian, I would have preferred a bit more choice. The selection of good wines was all the more extensive.

30/06/2025: Good, down-to-earth food. The food arrived quickly! Not exactly optimal value for money considering the quantity of the "main courses." Still, the location is quiet, away from the hustle and bustle. But: slow service and not customer-oriented. A big no-go: There's no drinks menu. You have to drag everything out of the server.

14/06/2025: The restaurant has a charming outdoor courtyard overlooking the lake while the interiors are elegant and refined. The cuisine is well-presented, with pleasant and well-executed dishes. The plin and the guancia are excellent. Overall, a satisfying gastronomic experience, even if without particularly outstanding elements. Professional service. Medium-high prices.

09/06/2025: We had lunch here after 1 year. It was out 4th or 5th time, but I have to share a negative update this time. The service got significantly worse: we got a mediocre welcome, after ordering they rushed all the dishes out, the starter got to us while my wife was washing her hands and it was cold before she came back. Our main was also left there 4-5 min before a server could bring it to us, arriving cold. We were also told that picking individual dishes from the menu would mean getting a larger sized version, but comparing with our pictures from last year they weren’t at all, it was basically like getting a tiny bite from the menu for a massive overprice. They served our meal in 30 min like they do at a Chinese all you can eat, but the price was still close to a Michelin starred place. Honestly when I came in the last I had an amazing experience and the food is still good, but for this price the service can’t be left to juniors that are still learning the craft and who probably used to work at McDonalds before. That leaves the guests a poor taste, as after spending 200€ for a couple of tiny dishes you wonder if you were not better served by one of the cheaper options next door.

18/06/2025: Nous avons merveilleusement bien mangé au restaurant La Botte à Stresa. Tout était parfait du début à la fin. L’accueil a été chaleureux et sincère, l’ambiance à la fois élégante et détendue, et chaque plat était une véritable découverte de saveurs. La patronne est attentionnée et d’une gentillesse rare. On sent qu’elle met tout son cœur dans son établissement. Le service est fluide, et on se sent tout de suite comme à la maison. Bref, nous avons passé une superbe soirée, dans une ambiance conviviale et raffinée. Une très belle adresse à ne pas manquer si vous êtes de passage à Stresa. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !

08/06/2025: Wir haben La Botte aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen besucht. Schön fanden wir die Glaswand zur Küche, durch die man den Köchen beim Zubereiten der Speisen zusehen kann. Leider konnten die Speisen mit dem ersten positiven Eindruck nicht ganz mithalten. Die Karte war sehr klein und bot kaum Auswahl. Viele Gerichte waren eher ausgefallen, sodass für uns letztlich nur das Filet in Frage kam. Für Kinder gab es kein eigenes Angebot – auf Nachfrage wurde lediglich Pasta mit Tomatensoße angeboten, was doch sehr enttäuschend war. Auch die Bitte, das Filet in einer kindgerechten Portion zu servieren, wurde abgelehnt. Als das Gericht kam, war klar warum: Die Portion bestand aus nur vier kleinen Scheiben Fleisch – für den aufgerufenen Preis einfach zu wenig. Meine Vorspeise, eine Pasta, war in Ordnung, die Portion gut, geschmacklich jedoch eher durchschnittlich. Das Personal war freundlich und bemüht, dennoch stimmte für uns das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht. Die Portionen sind sehr klein, und besonders Familien mit Kindern finden hier leider kein passendes Angebot. Fazit: Ein Lokal mit schöner Idee und freundlichem Service, aber für uns leider kein Ort, den wir erneut besuchen würden.

24/05/2025: Typical tavern, with a rustic setting. We dined outside in a pleasant and well-kept environment. The service was really good, the waitress was empathetic and kind and very willing to explain the dishes. Mixed fish carpaccio: fresh fish, well presented and with delicate flavors. Paccheri with white duck ragù: good but the flavor was a bit unbalanced, the gamey taste of the duck was too strong and it lacked that extra touch to make the dish tastier. Amberjack on a bed of lamb's lettuce: a successful dish, amberjack with a thin crust, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside, tasty. Mixed fried fish: good and plentiful. The tiramisu deserves a special mention with 10 and honors, really very good. Since the tavern is also a pizzeria, we will definitely return to try their pizza cooked in a wood oven. Good value for money

13/05/2025: Bella e caratteristica location,stile western..ottima la carne e la pasta.. Pur prenotando solo il giorno prima per 28 persone abbiamo trovato accoglienza e disponibilità. 13 ragazzini post partita non erano facili da gestire e invece è andato tutto molto bene.

Welcomed by the boss with a lot of warmth! The starter - Graubünden meat - was freshly sliced ​​by the chef and was excellent! The rest of the fine dinner was also excellent. We'd love to come back! The journey is worth it!

08/05/2025: This will be our regular restaurant whenever we are in Craveggia / SMM, as we have bought a house almost next door. The service is very polite yet discreet. The food is excellent, dishes are large and fair priced. We came for lunch. We will be back!
