03/02/2026: On Sunday, February 1st, I took my relatives from Milan. They were thrilled with what they found, the atmosphere, the menu, the welcome. I, unfortunately, wasn't in good shape and wasn't feeling well, but I felt truly pampered by the young woman serving our table. A day that started with a terrible headache went smoothly thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the staff at La Meta dei Sapori. Thanks for Sunday!! My grandchildren will be back to visit me 😉😁

29/10/2025: The restaurant is a bit hidden among small streets but is well signposted. Very friendly staff welcomed us for lunch and took great care of our toddler. The gnocchi were delicious, and the fish stew with potatoes was also very good. Recommended!

29/10/2025: A wonderful discovery! This authentic family-run restaurant served fresh fish from the lake and homemade fries. The terrace is lovely, away from the crowds, and very peaceful. The service was friendly. I highly recommend it.

25/10/2025: I have visited this restaurant three times, and each visit has occurred only because other, more deserving establishments were closed, or because it was winter and most restaurants were not operating at all. Unfortunately, the cuisine here is rather monotonous and uninspired. The menu offers no more than six to ten dishes, and most of them are quite basic and ordinary. I would not consider this a place worth returning to — it is acceptable to try it once, but nothing more. The service is good, yet everything else would benefit from improvement. However, since we are in Italy, such improvements seem practically impossible by default. As a result, this restaurant will likely remain a tourist attraction forever — which is truly a pity.

19/02/2026: The best pizza I've ever had, I hope to return someday. The crust was crispy and delicious, and the toppings were fresh and full of flavor. I was very lucky because we were able to get in right away without a reservation, but as I said, I was very lucky and it's definitely recommended to make a reservation since the place fills up very quickly.

07/03/2026: Wonderful dinner at Trattoria Due Piccioni in Stresa. The restaurant has a cozy and authentic atmosphere, slightly away from the busiest tourist streets, which makes the experience even more pleasant. The food was excellent, with fresh ingredients and beautifully prepared dishes inspired by local Piedmont cuisine. Everything we tried was flavorful and well balanced, especially the pasta and regional specialties. The wine list was also very good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly welcome throughout the evening. A fantastic trattoria if you want to enjoy high-quality Italian cuisine in a relaxed and charming setting. Highly recommended.

27/02/2026: I stopped in Stresa for work and chose Stornello because I read they also have vegan options. Since it's not an exclusively vegan restaurant, my expectations weren't very high. But I was wrong... their vegan dishes are nothing short of spectacular!! Starters, main courses (even the seitan goulash), and dessert! I'll be back, even if I have to travel all the way from Verona.

09/10/2025: Very fair prices, friendly service, and delicious, typical Italian dishes like homemade lasagna, gnocchi with buffalo mozzarella, and pizza. There's also a small children's menu. The outdoor area is huge. I'm pleasantly surprised!

27/09/2025: We were here on our first evening and had a great pizza. Four days later, we came back, and what we ate today was also very, very delicious, but we found the very friendly service particularly worth mentioning.

17/03/2026: I'm impressed by this unusual shop with so many staff...EXPENSIVE AS FIRE, it seems to make a good product...Unquestionably the only one so well stocked with so much stuff...but I emphasize, expensive as CARTIER. Friends ask me this weekend where we're going for dinner...At Cartier. Knowledgeable people, but too attached to money with outrageous prices. Good advice, but be warned, expensive as fire.

11/03/2026: A lovely restaurant on a green plain. Friendly and attentive service. Dishes that invite you to return for more. For this experience, the Ossola platter of cured meats and cheeses. Chestnut flour gnocchi with mushrooms and toma, crespelle with nettle tips and ricotta, and finally, an apple and chestnut parcel. Enjoy your meal!

01/03/2026: The service was really disinterested and it was made clear that it was a big priority to get 2 sittings at our table. My vitello tonnato was tasty and the main was too, though I would have made that as well (I'm not a professional cook). I feel disappointed. We live just over the border in Switzerland and have recently been to the Olympics in Livigno and Bormio - the service, food and passion for fine dining was in a totally other league there. Shame.

13/03/2026: There was only one server the day we visited, but the service was top-notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal; everything was perfect.
