02/05/2026: I honestly think the restaurant has all the makings of one of the most charming and professional establishments on Isola Superiore, as well as in the entire Borromean Islands area. However, while the staff is prompt, extremely professional, and quick in serving guests, I believe that when the place is crowded, it feels the inevitable emotional pressure caused by the accumulation of requests for food and drink.
Unfortunately, during my stay with my partner on May 2, 2026, I didn't have the opportunity to dine at "La Rondine" due to a misunderstanding that could easily be resolved. Nevertheless, I can say that, as a former professional (with many years of experience) in the restaurant service industry, I really empathized with the waiters, especially the affable and lively young man with sunglasses and a long beard. Although I offered to come back in about 40 minutes to try and find a table, he abruptly interrupted our conversation and (rightly) went back to serving customers. Although I intended to return, as I promised, I faced my partner's disapproval over the incident and immediately agreed to return to Stresa.
That said, I hope this review can be a positive starting point for improving an already excellent table service. I recommend investing in mindfulness and emotional intelligence courses for staff, so they can experience customer service in a pleasant and rewarding way.
23/04/2026: Spectacular restaurant location overlooking the water on the beautiful island of Pescatori / Stresa and the food quality and variety excellent! Enjoyed the veal and grilled vegetables with vino blanca, iced in a pasta can!
