Wonderful place with an excellent cheese platter

Small but very nice place and everyone is very kind, my son and I ate very well, really pleasant blues music in the background!

Lovely restaurant with great service and delicious food. A great place to spend lunch, especially on the terrace behind the building. Would gladly come again.

If you find yourself in Stresa, Gato is definitely worth a visit. I visited during my stay and was immediately won over. I tried the burger, which was truly excellent, but the platters of local cured meats and cheeses also seemed top-notch. The selection of beers and cocktails is extensive, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is its real strength: both the garden and the interior are well-kept, welcoming, and perfect for relaxing, having a drink, or enjoying a quiet dinner. A place where you immediately feel at ease. If I return to Stresa, I'll definitely stop by again!

We ordered the Classic and the Cheeseburger, and both were highly disappointing. The components felt incredibly cheap, as if someone just grabbed the most basic ingredients from a supermarket next door. It’s clear the kitchen lacks the fundamental knowledge of how to properly season meat or assemble a flavorful burger—simple additions like spices, onions, and quality buns are completely missing. The only redeeming qualities were that the meat was fully cooked and the fries were okay. This is strictly a cocktail bar, not a restaurant

Beautiful garden, great coffee and good prices & service. Music is refreshingly different. We are happy 😊
