Kid-friendly. Very welcoming. And above all, the food was excellent (pizza, gnocchi, lasagna).

Simply the BEST restaurant in Stresa!!! The pizzas are excellent, the fried fish is excellent, the tiramisu is yummy, and the family welcome is excellent!!! You can also get takeaway pizzas; they'll cut your pizza for you without any trouble.

We visited Pappagallo on a few occasions. The pizza is absolutely delicious. We had a variety of their pizzas - Arrabbiata, Regina, one with Scamorza, tomato’s (see photos) and another with burrata. Lastly, one with Aubergine and sausage (Isola Bella pizza). The only pizza that lacked flavour was the Isola Bella pizza which was pretty poor. It had a few tiny pieces of Aubergine and hardly any sausage. Also, I had the lasagne one night and Maccheroni on another night. Both were lacking flavour and sauce. Overall, the pizzas were mostly fabulous and I do recommend them. Also, the tiramisu was delicious! The local wine was great and €9 for 1/2 litre carafe with other options. All the staff were accommodating and friendly. The reason for 4* was the slightly disappointing pastas/ Isola Bella pizza (on one occasion and just my opinion) and one staff member (waiter) who was quite rude and sharp. However, still recommend a visit and ensure to book.

Everything was perfect! The pizzas are excellent, and the staff are very friendly. The terrace with its fans is a real bonus for a pleasant experience. Reservations are recommended to get a table outside.

Magnificent, what more can I say?! Everything is perfect, from the service to the presentation. Special mention for the reimagined tiramisu.

Excellent restaurant in the center of Stresa with an internal courtyard. The spaghetti allo scoglio is delicious. The dessert, the chocolate profiteroles, is worth it. Very helpful and fast service. The price, considering the location, is very reasonable.

I entered this place expecting it to be a good restaurant after seeing the long line right after they opened for dinner. The wood-fired pizza was delicious, and the other dishes were tasty as well. The lighting was just right, so I think I will remember this place as a pleasant spot for dinner. It seemed like everyone else was ordering a whole pizza each, but when we said we would be sharing, they cut it in half for us.
