08/03/2025: In giro per baveno in cerca di un bel posto per cenare, ci consigliano questo ristorante. Cameriere molto gentile e professionale, locale accogliente ed elegante. Scelta di piatti limitata ma di ottima qualità, con porzioni adeguate.

21/02/2025: Ci siamo capitati per caso durante una giornata sul Lago Maggiore. Locale accogliente, servizio cortese con le giuste tempistiche. Piatti con un buon rapporto qualità/prezzo. Discreta carta dei vini.

24/12/2024: Having called the telephone number shown in Google, no response, we arrive from the Locarno area and discover that the times indicated in Google were wrong and the restaurant was closing, furthermore the menu indicated was also different. TRIPLET!!! Is it possible that no one had 2 minutes to update the information?

01/11/2024: Tourist rip off!!! The prices for the drinks are okay, but you have to pay 3 euros per person for the cover, even if you only drink something. In our case that would be over 60 percent surcharge! The Aperol for 5 euros is an absolute lure, 70 percent of which consists only of ice. The service was extremely poor and slow, and the waiter was not very motivated. I can only advise against it!

12/04/2025: We were there today for lunch, I must say excellent view with terrace overlooking the lake, good food, excellent value for money. See you soon.

06/04/2025: I ate outdoors on the lakeside with a spectacular view of the excellent ravioli filled with perch and almonds, and an equally excellent fried lake fish. Very kind and smart staff. Very honest prices: spent €55 for 2. I recommend it!

05/04/2025: Restaurant review in Intra: Unfortunately our experience at this restaurant was decidedly disappointing. Despite the attempt to present itself as a refined establishment, the quality of service and food are far from those expectations. We were recommended one of the thematic menus (sea, lake, land), with the promise of quick preparation, but we found ourselves waiting over an hour for the first course. The situation worsened when, after having served the first one, our cutlery was taken away for no reason, and, after a long wait, they brought us the second one without even remembering to provide us with new cutlery. We had to get up on our own to get them. The quality of the food was also far below expectations: poor dishes, excessively seasoned with garlic and not very tasty. We can only advise against this restaurant. The lack of customer focus and poor quality do not justify the visit. A real disappointment. It's a shame because it's one of the first restaurants that appears when you get off the ferry and it's a terrible business card.

31/03/2025: A place whose only exception is the fact that, as the name suggests, it is located on the lakefront. For the rest, a restaurant to forget: we took the lake menu, therefore the menu of the day, and we had to wait half an hour for an acceptable first course and another 25 minutes for an inedible fried lake fish accompanied by baked potatoes of poor quality and horrible taste. Despite the long wait, the owners didn't even have the good sense to give us a small discount, a gesture we would have appreciated. Furthermore, the rest of the service also leaves something to be desired, the waitress dropped oil, glasses and cutlery and not just us. We definitely won't be back and we don't recommend it to everyone.

07/10/2024: I can't recommend this restaurant, there wasn't a dish on the daily menu, the steak was ordered medium rare and a half-rare piece of meat was brought that consisted mostly of fat and tendons. To be fair, we didn't have to pay for the steak after complaining. The service was anything but expert, inattentive and only discreetly friendly. A bottle of wine that we ordered came to the table already opened and we only received a wine cooler when we asked. The dishes were more lukewarm than hot. Overall a disappointment. Update or response to feedback from the owner: Since the proprietario does not have any connection with our specialist specialists, the comment is "incompetent clients" and is arrogant.

23/08/2024: Excellent restaurant a stone's throw from the lively square which surprises with its cozy, bucolic and calm interior courtyard. The staff were very charming and the cuisine refined and plentiful. The spaghetti with truffles was succulent and the plate very generous with lots of large slices of truffle. Recommended!

01/04/2025: Characteristic place with very friendly staff and punctual and fast service. At midday, a fixed menu with two choices for first and second courses. Good and genuine food. Right portion and very honest price. We will be back.

07/03/2025: Just today, happy to be able to taste the cuisine, lunch break, we show up at the restaurant five minutes after half a day, low-priced tortelloni with pesto for even less... the second one never arrived.... exaggerated price.... never again Oltre Fiume club. The lack of sympathy was mutual. From Baveno this is Not recommended

27/09/2024: Simple efficient, very pleasant waitress. terrace north of the water. Simple but good dishes. Side of the island much quieter than the arriving boat side. Very affordable prices. I recommend for a simple stopover between Madre and Bella.

26/01/2025: Paramos en Domodossola en nuestro camino de Suiza a Italia. Cuando caminamos por la Piazza Mercato para ver la ciudad, vimos este vibrante café en medio de la plaza. También vimos tranquilo a muchos lugareños disfrutando de su tarde con café y bocadillos. Con esto en mente, mi esposa y yo decidimos parar a tomar un café y pizza. Me alegro de que decidimos, ya que todo sobre Café Istriano era agradable. El personal era amable, barrera del idioma era un problema, pero eran tan agradables para tratar de entendernos. La comida era genial, el café era espléndido, y las vibraciones de la cafetería eran tan vibrantes y animados. Disfrutamos de nuestra corta parada aquí y sin duda volveremos de nuevo, si tenemos la oportunidad de visitar Domodossola de nuevo.

22/03/2025: Bella accoglienza all'ingresso, confermata dal servizio interno rapido e gentile. Polenta buona servita calda, verdure grigliate ben cotte e saporite, vino della casa onesto, conto in linea. L'impressione è di una squadra ben assortita e motivata. Esperienza piacevole, che consigliamo.

17/09/2024: Abbiamo solo preso una birra, ma 5 pallini per l'accoglienza alla nostra cagnolina: appena seduti, la cameriera ci porta una ciotola con l'acqua e biscottini per Lara. Che dire? Semplicemente stupendi. Grazie. Torneremo sicuramente

07/09/2024: Il ristorante si affaccia sul lago di Mergozzo ed è gestito da personale efficiente, gentile e disponibile. Siamo arrivati in 25 prenotando un'ora prima e abbiamo mangiato benissimo! Varietà di proposte, qualità dei piatti e velocità nel servizio. Siamo stati davvero bene, grazie!

30/07/2024: We waited over an hour for Primo Piatto, even though there were only 5 tables occupied. The pasta was too salty and inedible. In addition, a passerby with a small child was rudely turned away when she politely asked if she could use the toilet. Unfortunately, I can only advise against stopping at the Portico Cintoneria Bistrot. At least I wasn't charged for my Primo - hence two stars.

01/02/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo e a cena sia carne che pesce. Tutto buonissimo e personale gentilissimo e preparato. Enea e Monica sono persone squisite. Consigliatissimo.
