13/05/2025: We stopped here by chance, without any particular expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant overlooks the lake. Perfect for a break in a suggestive setting. The service was very fast - perhaps too fast - but understandable given the influx of tourists on the island. We ate well: simple, well-prepared and tasty dishes. The prices are a bit high, but in line with the tourist area and the privileged position of the restaurant. Overall, an excellent stop if you are looking for good food with a breathtaking view.

05/05/2025: Siamo stati qualche sera fa a cena e a parte i primi molto buoni (gnocchi e tagliolini) il resto è stato molto deludente. Maialino in crosta stopposo e asciutto, immangiabile... il dolce semifreddo di marron glacé era durissimo e troppo dolce. Ci ha veramente deluso, anche perché qualche anno fa avevamo mangiato delle pietanze strepitose. Sconsigliato!

04/05/2025: Abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Ho preso gnocchi squisiti e una bella selezione di bettelmatt. Conto leggermente caro. Note negative: musica non gradevole e soprattutto il servizio non puntuale.Inappuntabile fino a metà pranzo, poi inspiegabilmente sparito nel nulla. Ho chiesto del vino che sto ancora aspettando e che è stato inserito nel conto ma, correttamente, stornato alle mie rimostranze

01/04/2025: Characteristic place with very friendly staff and punctual and fast service. At midday, a fixed menu with two choices for first and second courses. Good and genuine food. Right portion and very honest price. We will be back.

07/03/2025: Just today, happy to be able to taste the cuisine, lunch break, we show up at the restaurant five minutes after half a day, low-priced tortelloni with pesto for even less... the second one never arrived.... exaggerated price.... never again Oltre Fiume club. The lack of sympathy was mutual. From Baveno this is Not recommended

15/05/2025: Beautifully situated restaurant with very nice service and delicious food. Waiting time not long. We ordered lasagna - sensational, carbonara - sensational, pizza salame picante - delicious, real Italian and salad with tuna - huge portion, impossible to finish. For Polish conditions, the dinner is quite expensive but worth it. I really don't like the practice of adding coperto to the bill - but it is becoming more and more popular in Italy.

15/05/2025: I don't know where the low rating comes from, but after a few days of visiting different restaurants, this is definitely the best. Very good thin crust pizza, great carbonara, lasagna and salad. Fast and friendly service.

23/05/2025: Pubblicità di garanzia di pietanze senza glutine per cui prenotiamo la sera prima certi che avremmo evitato l'elemosinare in ristoranti e trattorie a cui siamo ormai abituati. Ma per garanzia di pietanze senza glutine non si può intendere solo frittura con farina di riso e per tutto il resto? Le risposte sono state "ehm non lo so devo chiedere". Sciatteria dei camerieri e poca pulizia dei luoghi. Un buon secondo senza glutine lo avremmo trovato sicuramente anche in altri Ristoranti senza sbandieramenti vari.

01/05/2025: Nice place with lake view, we had lunch on the terrace and both the view and the food pleasantly surprised us. Given the tourist place we didn't expect such a good dish at an adequate price.

29/04/2025: In visita all'Isola dei Pescatori ci siamo fermati in questo bar a pranzare, posizionato con la veranda sul lago una vista impagabile, servizio celere e cibo buonissimo, un grazie speciale ad Alice che ci ha servito, anche se il locale era pieno è stata veloce e cortese, facendosi strada tra i turisti ( che non è semplice) brava brava!!

12/10/2024: Definitely a place to forget, unsuitable and uneducated staff. The dish ordered.....terrible.

30/07/2024: We waited over an hour for Primo Piatto, even though there were only 5 tables occupied. The pasta was too salty and inedible. In addition, a passerby with a small child was rudely turned away when she politely asked if she could use the toilet. Unfortunately, I can only advise against stopping at the Portico Cintoneria Bistrot. At least I wasn't charged for my Primo - hence two stars.

15/05/2025: The pizza was very good, the house wine was also good, and the service was quick and friendly. Just the way I like it.

10/05/2025: Today I was with my family in this Bistro in the center of Domodossola, a nice place, friendly and helpful staff, impeccable service and excellent food, fresh products and well-made and very good pizzas of all kinds, if I go to Domodossola this will be my favorite restaurant... note normal prices

10/04/2025: Muy bonito entorno en la plaza del mercado. Buen servicio. La pasta carbonara estaba bien aparentemente. Las pizzas estaban entre las peores que se han comido. Lo que parecía tomate enlatado sin condimento y la cobertura (un atún, una berenjena) , ambos mal cocidos.

26/01/2025: Paramos en Domodossola en nuestro camino de Suiza a Italia. Cuando caminamos por la Piazza Mercato para ver la ciudad, vimos este vibrante café en medio de la plaza. También vimos tranquilo a muchos lugareños disfrutando de su tarde con café y bocadillos. Con esto en mente, mi esposa y yo decidimos parar a tomar un café y pizza. Me alegro de que decidimos, ya que todo sobre Café Istriano era agradable. El personal era amable, barrera del idioma era un problema, pero eran tan agradables para tratar de entendernos. La comida era genial, el café era espléndido, y las vibraciones de la cafetería eran tan vibrantes y animados. Disfrutamos de nuestra corta parada aquí y sin duda volveremos de nuevo, si tenemos la oportunidad de visitar Domodossola de nuevo.
