27/10/2025: Had dinner our first evening in Baveno…we were staying at the Hotel Dino for a conference. My daughter and I didn’t have high expectations but were rather prioritizing the convenience! We were pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted and had immediate service. It was quiet as it was early by European dining standards at 7pm but over the course of our dinner filled in. We had an attentive and yummy experience. We ended the evening with their delicious tiramisu…we would return our final evening to have this dessert again!

09/12/2025: I don't understand the reviews... the place is very dirty: spiders, cobwebs, mold everywhere (in the main room!)! The sandwich was nothing special, and the fries were really limited; we couldn't get more than 30 (we ended up buying them!). I had a charcoal sandwich: they didn't have peppers, so they put potatoes in without telling me! We ordered six sandwiches for four of us because we were so hungry, and it was a bit pricey (minimum €14 per sandwich)! I recommend a good clean and maintenance! We won't be returning.

15/08/2025: Historic pub in the center of Mergozzo, a very welcoming, traditional atmosphere, excellent food and beer, and super friendly and helpful owners. Congratulations and thank you for your hospitality.

03/08/2025: Very good, no wait. Magical staff, incredible speed of service during aperitivo with the place packed. Good drinks. Great relaxation. Super efficient and fast. Perfect. You can see it's under new management.

31/07/2025: A simple, straightforward bar with a nice view of the lake. There are tables and chairs, so you can relax for a while, but otherwise, the bar is unremarkable. There are a few small snacks and a small selection of drinks – coffee, wine, something cold – but no classic cocktails. It's also a shame there's no music or friendlier service, which would improve the atmosphere. The beach next door also needs better maintenance – if it were more well-maintained, the entire facility would have the potential to attract more tourists. (NO INTERNET)

29/10/2025: Ample parking, clean and well-decorated space, very friendly staff who make you feel at home right away, excellent food, and excellent value. I wasn't familiar with this place, but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area. Recommended.

16/10/2025: A simple but clean and welcoming place. The staff is helpful and friendly. The menu offers a wide selection of traditional dishes, well-cooked. I recommend the gnocco fritto and roast rabbit. It's worth noting that they're open weekdays as well, not just on weekends.

25/09/2025: The service could be improved, but we're talking about a café on the go, so it's acceptable. I won't be returning because a parrot cage has been placed 1 meter, or maybe less, from the refrigerated ice cream counter... who knows what kind of ice creams they'll be having... I didn't expect the local health authority to authorize such a cage placement, but that's okay... maybe it's because I have more stringent parameters.

05/08/2025: Stopped one morning at 5.15 for breakfast... a cappuccino costing 2 euros per cup in a bar/tobacconist's is extremely expensive, especially in an informal environment full of workers.

13/11/2025: We had three excellent pizzas, well-cooked, with quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, polite, and helpful. Cute place, I'd say it was a great experience.

02/09/2025: A lovely find in Verbania. Pizza made with quality ingredients, fast and friendly service, and a simple yet welcoming atmosphere. I hope to return!

29/07/2025: Viajando con un grupo de 33 personas, cenamos en este atractivo restaurante anoche. Pasando por el comedor principal hacia atrás hay un comedor al aire libre con plantas y arbustos. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente. Empezamos con una ensalada mixta, que tenía muchos trozos de tomate. Lo siguiente fue muy buen risotto de hongos, y una galette de queso y espinacas. Me hubiera gustado tener algo de guarnición en el plato.

20/07/2025: Certo, non sarà il Grand Hotel Et Des Iles Borromees, ma se cercate un buon alberghetto tranquillo, in pieno centro a Stresa, a 3 minuti a piedi dal lago e dall'imbarcadero, con camere essenziali ma pulitissime e perfettamente insonorizzate con bagno con sanitari rinnovati, e letto supercomodo, il Fiorentino fa per voi. Molto gentili il signor Federico e i suoi collaboratori, pronti a soddisfare ogni necessità; convenzionale, ma con prodotti di qualità dolci e salati (veramente ottime le marmellate) la colazione, con bevande calde espresse direttamente dal bar. Prezzo nella norma. Possibilità di usufruire di un ottimo servizio ristorante (che ho già valutato positivamente in passato).

29/10/2025: Inedible and filthy After a bike ride from Domodossola to Omegna, food usually tastes terrible. My colleague and I ordered "Filetto al Salmone in Crosta" from the menu. The fish we were served smelled like bad raclette cheese! Inedible. Probably spoiled fish. We each only ate a forkful. When I told the waiter the fish was inedible, he apologized, and that was that. The receipt then listed it as "Trotta di salmone" – salmon trout. Even as trout, which I actually love, it was inedible! The service was a disaster: the table was completely filthy, and the placemats had been placed on top. So, after waiting about 15 minutes, I called the waiter to order. He seemed surprised and asked what I wanted??? When I finally said we wanted to eat, he turned around to leave. I called out to him to bring me a wheat beer, but he kept walking and brought me a regular draft beer in a dirty glass. He didn't ask my colleague anything…

18/10/2025: These beautiful autumn days still make it easy to sip something outside, so it's nice here. The service is good, the young, brunette waitress with glasses is very kind, and the prices are fair. The barley coffee is delicious, and the cream cannoli are also truly delicious. Compared to a few years ago, when I didn't have a great time having an aperitivo with friends, I think you've definitely improved. Keep it up.

30/11/2025: Super nice and helpful guys, a great place to spend an afternoon with friends, with board games and good food, also very good for an aperitif or dinner.

29/11/2025: We had an aperitivo and dinner with a group of friends; we had a great time, and the pasta was truly excellent. The service was equally excellent, and everyone was very friendly.

15/08/2025: We took advantage of this little village on the border to drink juice and have lunch, the view is magnificent, the owner is adorable... she made us homemade paninis with good cheese and cold meats that she sells right next door in her store!

02/07/2025: Good ice cream and a good selection, but very expensive. There is an equally good gelateria 300 m away in Omegna, only cheaper.

28/10/2025: Almost €8 for a piadina with practically no filling (which the staff also recommended as "piadina of the day"). Untenable and not recommended, it's best to get one from the nearby competition. Never again!

03/08/2025: If I could have put zero, I would have!!! This is the second time I've ordered takeout piadinas and they're missing raw/cooked ham, salad, and caramelized onions... I basically spent 20 euros on bread, mozzarella, and 3 courgettes!!!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

04/10/2025: The food is good and the usual chain fare. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and nice, even with the little ones. A great way to dine out.

27/10/2025: An Italian family business that could have come straight out of a commercial. Unobtrusive, human. We felt at home right away and—after trying several top-rated restaurants—went back to this one. It was simply the best (for us). The food was fantastic, the house wine delicious, and I'd come back more often for the espresso (€1.50 at your table). Speaking of prices: pizzas around €10 (large!), 1/4 liter of house wine €5 (or 3? It doesn't matter, it's good value). The only problem is that every other pizza I've had for a while has spoiled it. I've never had such a wafer-thin yet firm base, and the crust was airy and crispy.

18/11/2025: Everything is very dated. Breakfast, well...not worthy of 4 stars. Staff somewhat moody...we won't be back.

18/11/2025: Hesitant but hopeful, we stayed at this historic hotel in the city center. I don't understand the average rating. I have no complaints at all. It's a good place to stay, with nice, clean rooms. Good value for money. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. The owner could smile more 😁. We'll definitely be back.
