03/01/2026: The service was extremely disappointing. We had to wait forever for water, food, and the bill… no apology, no explanation. The food was okay, but having to wait that long for it was definitely not worth it.
07/11/2025: We went for an aperitif at the
Lo Scalo restaurant. It had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and was very clean. We sat inside, which was well-heated, and ordered the platter of cured meats and cheeses. The flavors were excellent, authentic, and of high quality. The fried gnocco was SUPERB!!!!
The seafood spaghetti was delicious, as were the fillet steak and the pizza. In short, everything was perfect.
The kindness of the waiter and the sweetness of the owner were unique on Lake Maggiore. We'll gladly return to be pampered again.
Highly recommended.

24/02/2026: We had lunch for four at midday. As anticipated, we chose a charcuterie board, which was truly excellent and of high quality. We then ordered two plates of tomato gnocchi: delicious, made with fresh tomatoes; the only flaw was the presence of some tomato peels.
We continued with the polenta with sausage and mushrooms, very good and a generous portion, and the tagliatelle with mushrooms, also very good and plentiful.
We concluded the meal with a delicious apple strudel and a bonet, which was good, although in my opinion slightly overcooked.
The staff was friendly. I would just like to offer one piece of advice: the sliced bread should be served separately from the packets of breadsticks.
Overall, we ate well.

27/02/2026: Crazy prices, rudeness from the young girl, and especially from the older one! They didn't say hello either at the entrance or at the exit! Four croissants left out at 9:00 in the morning... I don't recommend them at all... go elsewhere, Pallanza is full of bars/pastries with polite and respectful staff. P.S.: I'm editing my review based on your response...
I'll add that I was the only one in the bar and one other person at the counter. So the rudeness regarding greetings is definitely a part of the staff, since they heard me say hello both at the entrance and at the exit without receiving any "goodbye and thank you."
27/01/2026: Good even if the wait times to order are always long... It almost feels like being left there like an ornament. Update, it may be a coincidence but even the breakfast went badly, the cream brioche I had was filled with just a teaspoon of cream, I asked the barista if it could be refilled, she kindly apologized and fixed it, but the cream was full of lumps, with a floury consistency and almost no sugar.

Both typical and traditional dishes. I've been to this restaurant and had the opportunity to try the pizza, which was simply spectacular. The dessert was delicious. The staff is young and friendly, attentive to requests. Thank you!!

10/12/2025: Nice and clean, excellent breakfast at super affordable prices. The only two drawbacks: the bathroom (always missing something) and the parking. Since there's a pastry shop nearby, a lot of sneaky people come to park at the MC and then go to the pastry shop, stealing parking from the MC's customers. After countless complaints, seeing that the signs they'd put up were having no effect, they decided to hire someone to make sure only cars going to the MC actually enter. Hopefully this will solve the situation.

02/11/2025: I just came in with my family, we ate at the bar and used the restroom, but apparently it wasn't welcome. In this case, I recommend working away from the public, as I consider this rude and unpleasant. The tourist is your source of income, and if they're not rude, I don't see why you'd treat them this way. Childish behavior from both owners, who almost didn't even say hello. Congratulations.
P.S. The coffee is terrible.

26/10/2025: We came here on a recommendation. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. They even accepted orders for dishes not on the menu (though the price was a bit higher than expected). But it was delicious, home-cooked. During our week in Stresa, we visited many cafes and restaurants in the city and can say that this pizzeria is definitely worth a visit. Thank you for a wonderful evening! Happy business!
