05/10/2025: A special place. We arrived when the kitchen was already closed, but they let us eat anyway. The food was delicious, homemade. The owners were so kind; we chatted with them for a long time! We felt so comfortable that we even took a photo together afterward :)

07/03/2026: Passing by the lake, we stopped at a lovely restaurant. The elegantly dressed waiters were friendly and welcoming, creating a convivial atmosphere. The pizzas were excellent, and the service was impeccable. The value for money was truly outstanding. The waterfront terrace was delightful: a beautiful spot for lunch and a pleasant meal.

05/11/2025: I stayed at this hotel for two nights in the superior double room. The room was apparently recently renovated and was extremely clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and a super-functional and comfortable bathroom and shower. Perhaps the temperature was a little low. I dined one evening in the hotel restaurant, choosing a menu specially designed for the festival held on the weekend of November 2nd in Baceno. The dishes all featured local ingredients, were well-executed, and presented as expected. I ate truly well. Breakfast was quite varied and had everything you could need. The restaurant and hotel staff were always courteous, smiling, and helpful. Convenient on-site parking is available.

15/08/2025: Working with customers means welcoming them, or at least not making them feel uncomfortable with your jokes. I arrive with friends for a drink, and when we ask for pineapple juice, instead of replying, "We offer local organic products, so we have other flavors," we're told, "We have Piedmontese products, and until proven otherwise, pineapples don't grow in Piedmont." This wasn't even accompanied by a laugh or a smile to soften the unsolicited joke about where pineapples grow. The waitress's communication problem persists when she asks for three small bottles of water, with a counter-proposal, "Okay, let's make a large one," bringing us a glass carafe. It's unprofessional to communicate with customers in such a colorful and off-putting manner.

22/08/2025: A really nice place where you can enjoy a delicious pizza: the dough is light and crunchy.

16/10/2025: I find the online information a little lacking in timeliness. The opening hours are incorrect. The store is closed, at least at this time of year.

04/10/2025: At Risto Bar Hemingway in Oggebbio, I had a truly delicious pizza, with a light and flavorful crust. The atmosphere is made even more pleasant by the splendid lake view and the always friendly and attentive staff. A welcoming place that I happily recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy good food and an enchanting view of Lake Maggiore.

27/02/2026: Crazy prices, rudeness from the young girl, and especially from the older one! They didn't say hello either at the entrance or at the exit! Four croissants left out at 9:00 in the morning... I don't recommend them at all... go elsewhere, Pallanza is full of bars/pastries with polite and respectful staff. P.S.: I'm editing my review based on your response... I'll add that I was the only one in the bar and one other person at the counter. So the rudeness regarding greetings is definitely a part of the staff, since they heard me say hello both at the entrance and at the exit without receiving any "goodbye and thank you."

27/01/2026: Good even if the wait times to order are always long... It almost feels like being left there like an ornament. Update, it may be a coincidence but even the breakfast went badly, the cream brioche I had was filled with just a teaspoon of cream, I asked the barista if it could be refilled, she kindly apologized and fixed it, but the cream was full of lumps, with a floury consistency and almost no sugar.

08/03/2026: All you can eat ribs are fantastic, you need to download the App. Young man serving us (Mhar?), was very polite and attentive.

15/02/2026: Slow service, friendly staff, and the meal met expectations. It's a shame about the bill, due to the lack of transparency. All-you-can-eat ribs, yes, but only if you swipe your card. So I ended up paying €36 for ribs instead of €12. Downloading an app would have cost me significantly less. My mistake, asking for clarification only after paying. See you next time? I don't think so.

02/11/2025: The pasta tasted artificial. The pizza was edible. I certainly won't eat there again.

27/10/2025: An Italian family business that could have come straight out of a commercial. Unobtrusive, human. We felt at home right away and—after trying several top-rated restaurants—went back to this one. It was simply the best (for us). The food was fantastic, the house wine delicious, and I'd come back more often for the espresso (€1.50 at your table). Speaking of prices: pizzas around €10 (large!), 1/4 liter of house wine €5 (or 3? It doesn't matter, it's good value). The only problem is that every other pizza I've had for a while has spoiled it. I've never had such a wafer-thin yet firm base, and the crust was airy and crispy.

08/03/2026: I booked ahead because I knew I'd be there that day, and the lady was kind enough. Then, the same day, due to my delay on my return journey, I called the restaurant again to ask if I could wait an hour longer than I had booked. They also promptly said no problem. Kudos to you for your patience. We sat down, ordered, and what can I say? The dishes were plentiful and the prices were excellent. The polenta was exceptional, so much so that I complimented the owner. "The polenta tasted like polenta." You could tell it was made over a wood fire! The desserts were also very good. I'll definitely be back.

14/02/2026: The atmosphere and staff in the dining room were welcoming, but we had some dissatisfaction with the food: the soup of the day, the cheese board with bread, and the veal stew were all very good, but the polenta was lousy and the buckwheat cake with blueberry jam was awful. What was unacceptable was that when I asked how it went, I complained about the cake, and the owner explained that it was for celiacs and lactose intolerants! Aside from the fact that it wasn't written on the menu, but you can't think of making a cake for lactose intolerant people and celiacs by simply not using wheat, milk, and butter. I don't think the lady didn't know that there are lactose-free butter and milk for lactose intolerance, and gluten-free products for celiacs. So I felt like she was being mocked, especially because, to cut it short, she said, "Everyone eats it." If the lady can't accept criticism from a customer, it's better if she doesn't ask the customer how it went.

03/08/2025: Very good, no wait. Magical staff, incredible speed of service during aperitivo with the place packed. Good drinks. Great relaxation. Super efficient and fast. Perfect. You can see it's under new management.

31/07/2025: A simple, straightforward bar with a nice view of the lake. There are tables and chairs, so you can relax for a while, but otherwise, the bar is unremarkable. There are a few small snacks and a small selection of drinks – coffee, wine, something cold – but no classic cocktails. It's also a shame there's no music or friendlier service, which would improve the atmosphere. The beach next door also needs better maintenance – if it were more well-maintained, the entire facility would have the potential to attract more tourists. (NO INTERNET)
