Osteria Tre V In Gignese

Very good food. There are a few buts. It says outside: first courses from €7 to €15. Hmmm... not quite. The wines were listed verbally, without knowing the price, we ordered three white wines... €90... a bit excessive. Starters... we said: you choose... a taste of everything... we paid more than €110 for starters... there were 9 of us... a bit excessive. And above all, they ask for cash... because the internet isn't working or the computers are turned off... so, ma'am, a €3.50 discount seems a bit low on a €430 bill. We were very surprised by the bill.

My lunch here was the best Italian cuisine experience of my entire trip. And that is after dining at some time places across North Italy for 2 weeks. This gem is hidden away in the tiny village of Gignese near Lake Maggiore. The entire ambience is cosy and welcoming. There is even a freplace inside. The hosts are warm and friendly despite the difficulty inspeaking English. The lasagna, the spaghetti and the risotto were all everything you dream about Italian food. The menu isn't elaborate. But that's alright, because whatever was on it, blew us away.

Loved the food and ambience here. The service also was so good and homely. I personally loved the lasagna, the spaghetti and the tiramisu.

Absolutely one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten in. The atmosphere is cozy, the walls lined with antiques and the blazing fire in the corner makes it looks like a fairy tale. The lasagna is outstanding as is the wild boar and the beef goulash. The venison ravioli was exotic. I highly recommend it.

Finally, no drawings on most of the plate and fortunately no leaves or flowers... everything was excellent and well plated according to our tradition.
