A place with the utmost helpfulness of the truly kind staff, excellent local food and wine!

From Domodossola to Rome and back. A friendly tavern with a slightly nerdy feel. The sign is Bloch's famous painting of a mid-19th-century Roman tavern, with the two Ciociaria women—the married one with the big scarf and the spinster flirting with you—the husband with the scarf looking pissed off, and the cat staring at you even more viciously. The prices of the inviting and varied pinsas are in Roman numerals, and it's fair to ask if they're euros or sesterces. The last page of the menu shows the route to the restroom, and I have to say that the "treasure map" confused me a bit, as I was expecting who knows what winding paths to take when the designated place is right next to the pinsettaro counter. Otherwise, the food is good, the drinks are cold, and the service is friendly.

Excellent food and service. Very pleasant atmosphere. The cacio e pepe was the best I've ever had, in addition to the insalata di verdura of course.

Discovering this osteria was a truly unexpected gift: even though it was a lunch break, where the kitchen only serves the daily menu, as curious outsiders, we were kind enough to be served the valley's typical gnocchi (excellent!!!), preceded by a lovely platter of exceptional cured meats and cheeses. To finish, the pane e latte cake. The service was warm and friendly (as we're culturally unaccustomed to in Genoa 😂😂😂) and very professional. I can only award them the highest score. Thanks again!

We love this restaurant. Every time we're in Domodossola, we come here. We've always received excellent service; the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is good, and they have a good wine selection.

You definitely need to put this restaurant on your list. An authentic Italian establishment. No fuss, but atmospheric. The food is local and very tasty. The service was excellent. If we didn't understand something as foreigners, it was explained well. We will certainly be back here.
