14/05/2025: I was in Stresa for a weekend and on the advice of the concierge of the hotel where I was staying I tried this place. At first I didn't have a good feeling given the location but once inside I changed my mind. Highly friendly staff, really good food. We chose an appetizer to share and then a pizza. The pizza was really good and with a nice variety. Excellent quality/price, let's say it's that typical place that makes you feel at home and it was exactly what I was looking for since I've been living abroad for a lifetime. Highly recommended, if I ever have to return to Stresa I'll know where to go. Congratulations.

03/05/2025: Piatti abbondanti e gustosi, con specialità del giorno oltre ai piatti da menù. Antipasti sfiziosi e saporiti. Polenta con diversi accompagnamenti (cervo, capriolo, agnello, alla vigezzina, con salsicce o bruscitt...). Personale cortese e simpatico, ma non invadente. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo (circa €35 a testa per antipasto, polenta con carne e dolce). Ci torneremo !

10/05/2025: Este es un restaurante de visita obligada. Escondido en las calles traseras, es un lugar encantador con una maravillosa bienvenida. Comimos dentro que es acogedor pero hermoso ya que estaba lloviendo, pero la terraza se veía preciosa. El servicio era excelente y la comida también era excelente. Deja los restaurantes junto al lago a otros y sé aventurero y encuentra esta pequeña joya.

08/05/2025: Das Ambiente des Lokals hat uns angelockt. Sehr schön und toller Blick. Ein Service war im eigentlichen Sinn nicht vorhanden. Das hochpreisige Essen war das Geld nicht ansatzweise wert. Langweilig und lieblos. Schade.

23/02/2025: Sunday at the end of February. We went to this little bar (with a food shop) because it was the only one open and, despite the slightly negative reviews about the service, I have to say that we had a positive experience. 😌 We had a portion for two of pizzoccheri (👈 vegetarian) and a coke. The service may not have been very fast, but the waiter was friendly. I would say the prices are in line with those of a tourist location - even if in the low season. We're not exactly sure how much we spent on the cover charge (I think €1), but at the counter it was clearly written that there was a surcharge of €2 for outside service 🫷

17/04/2025: I've been going to both the bar and the emporium for years, I'm definitely OK. Try the local cheeses and cured meats. A note of merit for the cakes, they are fantastic!

09/03/2025: I stopped to buy bread, cured meats and cheeses.. In the same room there is both the bar and the food bank. There is also the possibility of getting some fruit. Very kind staff. I always stop by when I'm in the area

10/05/2025: Nos dieron boletos de desayuno por el Hotel en el que nos alojábamos - fuimos allí en la primera mañana y la señora que nos ayudó estaba muy infeliz de ver nuestros boletos y fue muy grosero - hay muchos otros lugares para ir en Verbania Pallanza, hazte un gran regalo, SALTA ESTE LUGAR e ir a una pasticcería donde te darán la bienvenida

10/04/2025: We spent a day at the plain, renovated restaurant, nice, but not quality for money.. too expensive for the quality of the food, friendly but unsmiling staff.. not many people.. well... overall nice place.. nothing special..

24/03/2025: We took it to have a dinner at high altitude on Saturday evening.... despite the rain at the start, and the snow at high altitude it was a beautiful and fun experience, the cable car guys are good, friendly and professional even in giving all the details.

16/05/2025: This historic bakery in Pallanza has always had excellent quality products. From sweet to savory, everything is delicious. I especially love their sweet rolls that you can't find in other bakeries. They are tasty and light. Now that they have also redone the premises and opened as a coffee shop/bar it is even more charming with tables inside and outside to enjoy a good breakfast comfortably seated.

04/05/2025: Locale che ricorda una trattoria, piacevole, ma piccolo, ubicato su una strada con vista sulle montagne con posti auto, buono il servizio, con sorriso e attento. Menù con cucina locale e cucina di pesce, e discreta scelta di vini locali e piemontesi. Prezzi in linea con quelli da ristorante. Se si prende un antipasto, primo e secondo siamo sui € 50 senza contare bere, dolce e coperto. Noi abbiamo mangiato ossolano. La cucina è buona, ma non mi ha colpito, l'ho trovata il linea anche con altri locali, anche se l'ho trovata più sbilanciata su una cucina Nazionale che ossolana.

14/04/2025: Frequentiamo “C’era una volta” da molti anni e ogni visita è un’esperienza straordinaria! Il locale è sempre impeccabile in termini di pulizia, la cucina è deliziosa e il servizio è eccellente. È il connubio perfetto per chi cerca un posto dove sentirsi davvero coccolato. Consigliatissimo a chiunque voglia passare momenti piacevoli! Un grande grazie al team per il loro fantastico lavoro.
