22/09/2025: I found the wait for my food to be normal for what one might expect on a Sunday lunch in a tourist destination. I had no complaints about the service at our table, but seeing how others were served, I noticed general disorganization and confusion (the lady at the table behind us didn't even get a dish served at all). I'm sorry to say that, unfortunately, I ate one of the worst gluten-free pizzas I've ever tasted: the dough was poorly rolled out (my mother's had a hole on one side), and it was raw inside and charred around the edge. It was definitely tasty, and I enjoyed eating it, albeit with a vague feeling of unease. My father and I ordered the same pizza, except that his dough was regular and mine was gluten-free. When she arrived at our table, the waitress had no idea which one she was serving to whom, so she called the kitchen to find out. It wasn't a major problem, as I'm the only one with a gluten intolerance, but having had experience with celiacs in my family, I know the risks of cross-contamination. This isn't meant to be a strictly negative review: the staff is friendly and kind, and the location is excellent.

23/11/2025: November '25 We've been back many times this year, and I can confirm the positive comments I made in previous years, regarding the kindness, helpfulness, and speed of service from the owner Cinzia, her daughter Martina, and the waitress Larissa. The quality and price of the weekday lunch menu and the pizza... and the excellent cooking by the owner Stefano... BRAVI 👏👏 January '22 We happened to be in Suna-Verbania, and in the large lakefront square, we were drawn to this restaurant-bar with plenty of outdoor seating and tables. In the warm afternoon sun on a very breezy winter's day in January, we had a delicious pizza margherita made in an electric oven, a glass of Arneis white wine, a decaf coffee, and a vanilla-flavored tea for a total of €11.00, served outside by a kind young woman...Larissa. We returned several times in the following months and enjoyed other delicious dishes in addition to the pizzas, shown in the added photos. The fixed-price lunch menu was €11 (now €15.00 in 2025) and included a choice of two first courses and two second courses, along with a small bottle of mineral water. Everything was very well cooked, with excellent home cooking, especially the first courses and the Abruzzo lamb arrosticini. 😋😋 Fair prices and good quality in a quiet outdoor setting with a lake view. 👍 The restrooms need improvement.

Midday menu during the week, two options for Saturday and Sunday, plus pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and more. Generous appetizers with a variety of pizzas and focaccias, excellent cuisine always with new ideas, and very fair prices. Highly recommended 😉😉😉😉

02/09/2025: I stop with customers every time I go on a mountain bike tour. Availability, friendliness, and quality are some of the strengths of this welcoming restaurant. Furthermore, last time, we needed to charge the batteries of a couple of e-bikes, and the kind staff member immediately found us a plug to plug in. Thank you :-)

06/11/2025: It was really delicious, and reasonably priced (11 or 15 euros depending on the set menu). We ordered the lunch menu even though it was already after 2 pm. There were six (!) choices: meat, vegetarian, and fish. The staff was very friendly and could even explain the dishes well in German. It was also ideal because many restaurants in Domodossola are closed in the afternoon. Good location with free parking.

02/11/2025: We arrived on a Sunday without a reservation, so we had to wait about twenty minutes. This is completely understandable, as the place is quite popular, so I recommend booking in advance. The place was definitely worth the wait. The four of us had the meat tasting menu (venison, wild boar, fondue, bruscit, snails, etc.) with polenta for €17 each, excluding drinks and cover charge. Superb value. We were truly satisfied with both the quality and quantity. Thanks to the staff for the excellent service and the welcoming atmosphere!

10/11/2025: Spurred by the good reviews, wanting to explore the area, we stopped at this place. The location is very beautiful and quiet, and the lady who served us was very kind. There's no standard menu; the owner (very kind and friendly) checks what's available. The charcuterie board (homemade, the lard is amazing) and mountain cheeses are highly recommended. The agnolotti (definitely homemade) with gorgonzola and walnuts are excellent, as are the sliced ​​steak and the stew with taragna polenta, delicious like few others I've tasted. The house wine is good. We ordered two mixed platters, one first course, three second courses, water, a can and a half of red wine, one dessert, three coffees, and the kindly offered homemade grappa, for a more than reasonable final bill of €109. A shout out also to Rufus, the awesome pocket-sized dog who handles the reception :-) Thanks, and see you next time.

25/10/2025: A wonderful discovery! I recommend everyone to try Cucina di Emma: excellent food, and equally pleasant and helpful staff. For those who want to spend a couple of hours immersed in silence, enjoying excellent, locally sourced food, it's the perfect place. We'll definitely be back.
