08/03/2026: A Sunday family lunch, the room is welcoming, with an excellent view of the Italian-Swiss Alps, a quiet atmosphere, and the appetizer for two is plentiful (we ate it for 5). The tagliatelle with venison ragù was special, the legume soup with croutons and lard was also perfect. Finally, the apple pie was also very good, a giant portion for those with a sweet tooth🎯

15/03/2026: Today we went to this restaurant for a very large family lunch, about thirty people. The food was excellent and high-quality, the service very professional, and the service was enriched with short videos about fishing and the work they do with passion and love for the lake. 06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

03/02/2026: I ordered takeout. The pasta with meat sauce arrived white with two pieces of meat thrown in, overcooked and tasteless. The pad thai was much heavier than usual, and the fries were rubbery and undercooked. I've never had this happen at a restaurant; in fact, everything was always good quality. Quite disappointed. Definitely better to go for aperitivo.

04/10/2025: Excellent risotto with porcini mushrooms. Very good vitello tonnato. Perfect meal.

20/09/2025: A very nice terrace on the first floor, and very friendly and charming service. The fresh pasta and fish dishes are particularly good. The portions are generous; it's hard to manage three full courses. Ideally, therefore, starters and side dishes are shared. We had the eggplant timbale and the mussels as starters, and both were very aromatic. The kitchen also prepares meat excellently. A particularly positive aspect is that many wines are available by the glass, so you can try more. We enjoyed the hospitality several times.

09/10/2025: The waitress was very nice and friendly. The bar is certainly OK for drinks right by the lake. The food, however, is at least disgusting. The dishes served bear no resemblance to the pictures on the menu. Instead of tuna sauce for Vitello Tonnato, a thick smear of mayonnaise is served on the plate. Underneath, there's dried-out meat and on top, three mini cans of capers. The schnitzel tastes like cardboard; it's actually been cooked in a deep fryer and is anything but crispy. The breading is absolutely sticky and disgusting! The fries look appetizing, but taste like burnt oil that probably hasn't been changed in years. Only edible with a good amount of ketchup. So: better to go a few meters further for your meal if you want it to be edible!

07/01/2026: Wonderful experience, intimate venue, we couldn't have found better just a few km from Pallanza (where we greeted the arrival of the new year in the square with r105). The restaurant is wonderfully managed by all the staff who made sure that every course or moment of the evening was enjoyed. Excellent quality/price ratio. 13/12/2025: November '25 We've been back many times this year, and I can confirm the positive comments I made in previous years, regarding the kindness, helpfulness, and speed of service from the owner Cinzia, her daughter Martina, and the waitress Larissa. The quality and price of the weekday lunch menu and the pizza... and the excellent cooking by the owner Stefano... BRAVI 👏👏 January '22 We happened to be in Suna-Verbania, and in the large lakefront square, we were drawn to this restaurant-bar with plenty of outdoor seating and tables. In the warm afternoon sun on a very breezy winter's day in January, we had a delicious pizza margherita made in an electric oven, a glass of Arneis white wine, a decaf coffee, and a vanilla-flavored tea for a total of €11.00, served outside by a kind young woman...Larissa. We returned several times in the following months and enjoyed other delicious dishes in addition to the pizzas, shown in the added photos. The fixed-price lunch menu was €11 (now €15.00 in 2025) and included a choice of two first courses and two second courses, along with a small bottle of mineral water. Everything was very well cooked, with excellent home cooking, especially the first courses and the Abruzzo lamb arrosticini. 😋😋 Fair prices and good quality in a quiet outdoor setting with a lake view. 👍 The restrooms need improvement.

09/12/2025: Located in the central Piazza Garibaldi, directly on the lake. Excellent for an aperitif, a pizza, or a lunch menu. Friendly service; plenty of outdoor seating, both under the trees and in the sun (with an umbrella), and indoors. Very good value.

24/10/2025: Beautiful place! Even though it's autumn, I enjoyed eating outside thanks to the sunny weather. Excellent food, generous portions. The waitress was very kind and helpful.
