31/10/2025: OUTSTANDING! Discovered this place by chance and was a truly pleasant surprise. I went for lunch with the set menu: first course, second course, and side dish for €14 (but there are various combinations to choose from). Besides the fair price, the quality of the food is excellent: the lentil pappardelle was superb, and the saffron chicken was tender and flavorful. The cuisine is simple but made with care. I also had dessert (off-menu for €4), and it was absolutely worth it!

03/10/2025: A truly beautiful location right on the lake. We had a Caesar salad and a club sandwich, everything was perfect and plentiful, fresh, and delicious. My Vono was also perfect; everything was perfect! We thought the price/performance ratio was absolutely excellent! The service was very friendly.

11/09/2025: Like being at home. Authentic cuisine and cult platters. Tables and service on the lakeside. Wide selection of wines also to take away, craft beers. A must try Spritz Luca. The panzerotti are delicious, the pizzoccheri too. Complete aperitif with gourmet dishes. A must try. 🍾🥂🍷😋

18/10/2025: My experience at this place was terrible. I didn't like the place; it smells so old, with dirty mirrors, tables too high for the seating, the lady serving was rather unfriendly, but above all, the food I ordered: lasagna alla bolognese. I thought that since it was an osteria, they'd cook the lasagna well, with lots of béchamel and ragù, as is traditional. Instead, I received a plate that looked completely unappealing; it seemed covered in a dull film. When I cut the pasta with a fork, I realized that the bottom layer was hard, dry, and almost burnt. The lasagna was just pasta, without its trademark ingredients. I tried to eat some despite everything, but after a few forkfuls, I couldn't stand it anymore. The lady asked me if everything was okay, but I was honest and said I didn't like it at all. She saw the plate was almost full. Finally, my husband gets his coffee. It wasn't possible to have it diluted with hot milk because we had a milk frother. All we had to do was heat the milk in a saucepan. At the cashier, I expected not to have to pay for my dish in full; if she had been a lady, she wouldn't have charged for it at all. Instead, my uneaten lasagna cost me 16 euros!

08/07/2025: Highly recommended! Very attentive service, delicious food, and a short wait. Right next to the church in the pedestrian zone, a great place to sit and enjoy the evening with good food.

28/06/2025: Check your bill!!! I have to give it one star. The food was a classic three-star meal, but at the end, the restaurant tried to sneak a carbonara onto the bill, which I just noticed. Unfortunately, the portion wasn't very large, so we didn't get full. They always add €2 per person to the Koperto menu, which I've never experienced before.

27/10/2025: My daughter and I ate here on a Sunday after spending 5 days in Baveno. We were so disappointed with our experience. We noted upon arrival that there were several large parties and later we came to realize it would affect our evening. It took 15 min to get a glass of water. Another 10 to take our order and I finally reminded the waiter I was still waiting for our wine. In fairness the wait staff only 2 of them were working furiously on these other tables…the restaurant was busy. We ordered the cheese in filo and the prawns to start . We thought the starters were fine…especially the prawns. Next came my daughter’s ravioli and my filet of sole. We were both disappointed and didn’t eat. A rare occasion for us! We did not order dessert but rather chose to return to Hotel Dino’s Last Hall restaurant for their Tiramisu and a glass of wine as we needed something to “lift us up” from our disappointing evening….highly recommend that!
