Best beef steak I had on our 4 day trip near Milan. I recommend. The other plates my family had were also delicious.

Very nice location. Separate outdoor space, useful if the weather is so-so. Restrooms are reasonably well-maintained. Very friendly staff. We enjoyed a risotto with ossobuco, truly excellent, and a vegetable pizza. The only flaw is that they usually serve grilled vegetables on pizza, not carrots!

We went to eat at Il Centrale in Stresa and the experience was quite positive. The restaurant is well located, in a central area, which makes it very convenient if you're strolling around town. The food was good, with well-prepared Italian dishes and decent portions for the price. It's a good place if you're looking for something simple but enjoyable. The atmosphere is lively and typical of an Italian restaurant in a tourist area, and the service was good throughout our visit. Overall, Il Centrale is a recommended option in Stresa for enjoying uncomplicated Italian food in a pleasant and conveniently located setting.

We chose the sturgeon. Very good, but the portions were a bit small for the price. And as is often the case in Italy, the bill quickly spiraled out of control (cover charge, expensive drinks, etc.).

The food is good, but the portions are very, very small if you order pasta as a main course. When you compare the portion size to the price, it's completely unjustified.

14/02/2026: Simple, clean family atmosphere and great food!
25/01/2026: This restaurant saved us after a failed winter hike. The owners welcomed us even though there were 15 of us, we hadn't booked, and we weren't all planning on ordering anything. They even provided us with unset tables and chairs. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was excellent and plentiful, and the prices were absolutely fair. We'll definitely be back.

28/04/2026: A "local" on the Don Minoli up to our accommodation Casa Federica.My gnocchi with chestnuts,and a creamy cheese sauce ,my friends Calzone took up the whole plate.A taste of local culture,as well as the food and generous rose.
23/04/2026: I ate the best pizza there, "Frutti di Mare," and the staff is friendly and helpful! The road from Cannero is very, very narrow and should really only be used by drivers with mountain driving experience!
