14/03/2026: Dam a Traa has been a regular stop for me for many years, and now that I live far from Verbania, it's a real pleasure to stop by for a bite every time I return to the city. Whether you're in its rustic, osteria-like dining rooms in winter or at the tables near the lake in summer, the abundance, quality, and attentive service are guaranteed. The portions are gigantic and the dishes are truly excellent; furthermore, the fact that the menu changes frequently, while maintaining some signature dishes, makes each visit a new discovery. During my last dinner, I opted for fish and left feeling full and satisfied. The paccheri with diced swordfish, vegetables, Taggiasca olives, and capers were phenomenal: perfectly cooked pasta and a flavorful sauce that paired divinely with the fish. The real highlight, however, was the tuna steak: an absolute delight, tender and tasty even on its own, without the need for additional spices. Honorable mention goes to the trofie with pistachio cream and flambéed shrimp, a truly clever and successful combination. The price is incredibly fair, especially considering the excellent quality-to-quantity ratio.

09/03/2026: There are no complaints about the food or the quality of the dishes. The service is at an all-time low. It's a shame the owner isn't addressing this behavior. This is a place where you should not only leave a review, but also file a police report. Permissiveness, rudeness, and aggression from a waiter with a tattoo on his arm.

29/12/2025: I went there for work and I didn't have the pleasure of having lunch but I will definitely go because I was pleasantly surprised.

29/12/2025: Today I celebrated my birthday at this beautiful refuge. You're greeted by the smiles and kindness of the staff. As soon as you sit at the table, you feel the warmth of home and a breathtaking view. We started with an appetizer accompanied by spring onions, peppers, and eggplant, all delicious. Next up was polenta with braised beef, bruscitt, stewed venison, and polenta with melted cheese. What can I say? Excellent, and the portions are generous. Since we had some polenta left over, we finished with polenta with cream, a delight for the palate! Let's move on to dessert, you can tell they're homemade! I ordered the fishbone and walnut cake, excellent! If I've piqued your interest, just go and see them, you'll love it! Congratulations to all the staff for their excellent work. They make every customer feel like family.

11/10/2025: Cute Little Bar/Café in the central of Cannobio. The Waitres was super Kind and welcomed us with Open Arms. The coffee was good, the panini was nothing Special and lacked some ingredients instead of plain meat but they were still tasty. Pretty Ambiente with italian urban feeling. Prices were fair.

29/11/2025: We stopped for lunch after walking around the lake. Pros: fast service without a reservation. Cons: the food was prepared and—at least the mushroom-based one we had—of poor quality... the mushrooms were soupy and poorly blended with both the polenta and the tagliolini. The chocolate cake was average. I wouldn't go back.

08/11/2025: Hotel restaurant near Lake Antrona at the start of the Sajont waterfall trail. The food is good, the place is welcoming, and the staff are friendly.

17/03/2026: A rather hidden place, they use every corner to set up tables. Not a great location, but as far as food goes, they hold their own. Some dishes are very well made. A little slow. The place is packed, only one waiter... Must try.

06/12/2025: Food was delicious when we were there in May - we had pizza, pasta and some of the veggie specials. We ate here 4 times on our stay in Pallanza and felt lucky to have found a genuine, non touristy trattoria. Would recommend. Worth booking ahead.

13/12/2025: November '25 We've been back many times this year, and I can confirm the positive comments I made in previous years, regarding the kindness, helpfulness, and speed of service from the owner Cinzia, her daughter Martina, and the waitress Larissa. The quality and price of the weekday lunch menu and the pizza... and the excellent cooking by the owner Stefano... BRAVI 👏👏 January '22 We happened to be in Suna-Verbania, and in the large lakefront square, we were drawn to this restaurant-bar with plenty of outdoor seating and tables. In the warm afternoon sun on a very breezy winter's day in January, we had a delicious pizza margherita made in an electric oven, a glass of Arneis white wine, a decaf coffee, and a vanilla-flavored tea for a total of €11.00, served outside by a kind young woman...Larissa. We returned several times in the following months and enjoyed other delicious dishes in addition to the pizzas, shown in the added photos. The fixed-price lunch menu was €11 (now €15.00 in 2025) and included a choice of two first courses and two second courses, along with a small bottle of mineral water. Everything was very well cooked, with excellent home cooking, especially the first courses and the Abruzzo lamb arrosticini. 😋😋 Fair prices and good quality in a quiet outdoor setting with a lake view. 👍 The restrooms need improvement.

09/12/2025: Located in the central Piazza Garibaldi, directly on the lake. Excellent for an aperitif, a pizza, or a lunch menu. Friendly service; plenty of outdoor seating, both under the trees and in the sun (with an umbrella), and indoors. Very good value.

Quality, delicious, and tasty products. Pistachio tiramisu (although I wanted the Nutella one 🤷🏻) and homemade strudel were EXCELLENT. Fair price. I will definitely be back. 100% recommended
