Anchovies, Rice, and Glory Bagna cauda that doesn't need permission. He stands up, slams his fists on his taste buds, and says, "Today we're eating well, and I'm in charge here." I ordered paniscia without even knowing what it was: it's not a normal risotto, it's a delicious energy concentrate made with lard isotopes. They say Piedmontese cuisine hugs you: today it hugged me tightly and stayed with me for a long time to make sure I'd understood the lesson. I should point out that no passengers were gassed in the car on the return trip. Not just the food, but the lovely people: I felt at home. Honorable mention for the copper pans that were used for ostrich eggs.

A restaurant serving traditional Ossola and lakeside cuisine. The first courses are delicious, and the venison stew is even better. The polenta could be improved; it's a bit too salty. Highly recommended, and I definitely think I'll be back.

03/05/2026: We stopped here with a friend and had a great meal; they also happily accept dogs. The only downside is that the place is a bit noisy, but it's an acoustics issue, so I don't know if anything can be done about it!

14/04/2026: 4.5 stars: If the spaghetti with clams had tasted as good on the last evening as it did on the first, it would have been 5 stars. Excellent value for money.
11/04/2026: We went there for dinner in the evening after reading some of the reviews. Nice restaurant, friendly and quick service. The food tasted great, but the pasta was a bit small for €13. The schnitzel Milanese, on the other hand, was delicious and crispy. Unfortunately, the fries were cold, hence the deduction in the rating. We sat outside because we were there with a small child who was sleeping (which we mentioned), and suddenly loud music started playing. A bit annoying, as there was only one other table occupied, and I think the music bothered them even without the child.
