Ristorante Lago Maggiore In Stresa

The food at our hotel with half-board is absolutely terrible! But here we had a fantastic meal in a lovely atmosphere, with friendly service and at a fair price. We can easily do without our half-board for that! We highly recommend this little restaurant.

A quiet restaurant on a side street off the city center, near the lake. A friendly team with a varied menu and house wine. We had a lovely time; they gave us plenty of time to eat and enjoy our meal despite the crowds. Plenty of tables both on the terrace and inside. Thank you to the whole team!

We had dinner at the Lago Maggiore Restaurant, and overall, the experience started well. We ordered pizza, which was good, and the place is pleasant and welcoming. Special thanks to the younger waiter who served us: he was undoubtedly the best in the restaurant, very kind, attentive, and professional. Unfortunately, the evening was ruined by a very unpleasant incident. An older waiter began aggressively yelling at the kitchen in front of the customers, and then came in, continuing to yell. This type of behavior is absolutely inappropriate in a restaurant. I would like to clearly state to this waiter that discussions of this nature should be avoided, especially in front of customers. They solve nothing and only create a negative and unpleasant atmosphere. It would be important to handle these situations more calmly and professionally. It's truly a shame, because up until that point, everything had been going well, but this incident completely ruined the experience.

My husband and I are from US and ate at this restaurant today and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was quite clean, menu was diverse, and the food was great. The prices were very good and the staff were very friendly. It appeared to be a multi-generation business which was cute to see. I read the few negative or mediocre comments about the prices of food that made me chuckle because the prices are cheaper than US and quality was very, very good. It isn't one of those touristy restaurants that you spent a bunch of money on and disappointed. I would definately revisit. Thank you for a great lunch!

Looking for a restaurant in the historic center of Stresa for dinner, we came across this welcoming, family-run establishment. We dined there two consecutive nights and tried different dishes. The first night, delicious polenta and braised beef, and an exceptional Piedmontese beef fillet. The second night, a delicious mixed fried seafood platter, and we tried the wood-fired pizza. The quality/price ratio was fair. Everything was delicious, highly recommended. Thanks again for your hospitality. ☺️
