14/11/2025: Over the years, I've noticed the quality of the focaccia bar decline; the hot dishes remain standard, but the service leaves much to be desired in terms of customer service and, above all, guys: there's no soap in the bathroom, even at 11:00 a.m. before the rush of lunch customers begins, and more attention needs to be paid to bathroom hygiene. It doesn't exist. A restaurant-bar is judged first and foremost by how well it keeps its bathrooms, not just by what's on your plate!

13/10/2025: Terrible service. With a restaurant half empty, I wouldn't expect this kind of service. We waited over 15 minutes for our order, after calling the waiter several times, and it was clear everyone was idle and just standing around. We waited over half an hour for a plate of fresh pasta and a calzone. All the tables around us complained. The service definitely needs improving. The dishes were good, but the prices were a bit high.

14/06/2025: Non avrei messo neanche una stella se avessi potuto. Assolutamente disorganizzati, maleducati, la mano destra non sa cosa fa la sinistra. Ti obbligano a prenotare on Line , DEVI presentarti assolutamente 15 minuti prima dall’orario indicato nella prenotazione , se no il tavolo viene dato ad altri……. Arriviamo 15 minuti prima……tavolo inesistente, devi fare la fila alla casa per prenotare , dove ci sono i clienti che pagano. Regna la confusione , l’inadeguatezza, l’incompetenza, la maleducazione…. Dopo 20 minuti ci mandano in terrazza. Altri 15 minuti di attesa. Il nostro tavolo viene preparato in Cina. Ci sediamo alle 20:50 alle 220:01 non stiamo ancora cenando. Le birre erano ormai calde, le zanzare banchettavano sotto il tavolo con le nostre gambe. Ad una certa attacca la musica house, e io non vedo ancora la nostra pizza. Nel frattempo la ragazza al tavolo vicino era incinta di 4 mesi…. Ha partorito. Stiamo festeggiando la comunione ….. se continua così arriviamo alla laurea. Ore 22:13 Niente Nel frattempo le pizze al tavolo del puerpera sono arrivate per festeggiare il matrimonio del bimbo. E al nostro tavolo nulla, ma mi suggeriscono che sono i tempi di lievitazione. Finalmente arriva la pizza. Niente da dire buona. Voto 7…. Alla pizza. Concludendo, l’attesa non compensa la qualità delle materie prime.

31/05/2025: Verso le 18,chiedo direttamente al gentile proprietario,presente al bar di prenotarmi un tavolo per 2 persone le 19.30.Arrivismo puntuali e chiediamo del tavolo,nel porticato all aperto ,ci viene risposto che "quello è libero" faccio presente che ho prenotato quindi ci dovrebbe essere un tavolo nel deor non sul marciapiede sotto il porticato vista parcheggio "libero",il cameriere che sicuramente non ha una conoscenza approfondita dell italiano mi risponde comunque " quello è libero" ,ci sediamo di malavoglia,con tavolo con tovagliette in carta e pianta della fioriera praticamente in bocca,ma questo è niente ....ordine veloce pizze altrettanto veloci e qui comincia il bello ...pizza molle neppure parente di quella assaggiata nel locale precedente e dopo 4 minuti il conto ,ma non ho neppure mangiato la pizza ,non mi è mai capitato eppure per piacere viaggio parecchio in Italia e in europa . Ovviamente finita la pizza faccio le mie rimostranze alla proprietaria che mi risponde,ovvio,per evitare il mangia e fuggi,le rispondo che al mare tutti i locali sono all aperto ma nessuno anticipa il conto da saldare alla consegna......morale pizza mediocre e di pizze a Napoli ne ho mangiate parecchie e servizio assurdo,dimenticavo il deor non può essere quello .....ma Cannavacciuolo non aveva assicurato di lasciare il locale in buone mani 🤔

03/07/2025: negative experience, we only managed to have lunch, in the evening we ran away because the owner turns on the air conditioning after 10pm, so if someone wants to relax in bed they have to wait for the time set by the owner.

26/11/2025: I returned after many years. We used to hang out there during my university days; it was a lively place, packed with young people. Now, after so long, the new management hasn't made a good impression on me. The owner offered us a menu without showing us a price, instead delighting us with his specialties (bicerin and hot chocolate made with water, as per Piedmontese tradition (he tells us). I didn't particularly like them. Plus, the place seemed a bit run-down for a city center location. Disappointing.

15/09/2025: Unfortunately, I must express growing disappointment with Livio Montaldo's bakery, which I've enjoyed frequenting for years. Lately, however, the quality of service has significantly declined. For example, the other day, I ordered a tray of pizza and focaccia for the following day. However, when I picked it up, the tray wasn't ready, and instead of being prepared as requested, it was made up "on the spot" with whatever was available. This meant the requested products weren't present in the quantities requested (given that it was an office celebration, this embarrassed me). When I tried to pay by card, I was rudely told that I needed to "be patient" because my phone was out of battery. After five minutes of waiting, I opted for another payment method. This isn't an isolated incident: I've had the cash register close early several times, making it impossible to pay electronically or obtain a receipt, or being asked to make multiple transactions to avoid fees. Furthermore, when I asked to pay by card, the comments were never the friendliest, with phrases like "Hey, if you don't have cash/Satispay." This isn't the first time orders placed in advance were not prepared correctly or even "lost." The lack of organization has ruined more than one occasion (this is a problem noted not only by me, but also by friends and family). Another disappointment is the poor product availability. In the past, when I arrived in the morning around 7:30, the counters and shelves were always well stocked with all kinds of products. Lately, however, I often find the store sparse and with limited selection. I'm truly sorry to write a negative review, because the bakery used to be really good and decent, but for now, I think I'll change bakeries. I hope this can be constructive criticism and that the bakery returns to what it once was.

15/09/2025: This morning I walk into the shop and the girl behind the counter is wiping down the shelves. I wait for her to finish and ask for two scoops of plain flour. She tells me the price and I pay. She doesn't give me a receipt and starts serving the next customer. I wait and ask for one. Obviously annoyed, she goes back to the register and prints it out for me. I thank her and leave. I'm home and we get the bread. It's soft and crunchy to the touch, except for the thick, burnt underside. When I open it, it gives off a strong smell, somewhere between vinegar and ammonia. The crumb is like play dough... where has the old-fashioned bakery gone?

15/10/2025: A mountain-style restaurant nestled in a modern setting, featuring a friendly atmosphere and attentive staff. Dishes inspired by traditional mountain cuisine, with a few twists, are reasonably priced.

07/09/2025: It's a beautiful restaurant, the decor is typical but be careful!!! As luck would have it, it's impossible to pay by credit card and the bill is steep, written in Italian. Impossible to decipher! The "food" is very basic, the owner encourages you to order deer or wild boar meat, the bottled water arrives already opened 🥴, (probably tap water). No menu for aperitifs because only in the evening! Italian wine 🍷? Well, then a basic German beer charged without having seen the menu... the surprise later. So an aperitif board for 2, two beers 🍺, a coke, a lasagna, ravioli sprinkled with parmesan, polenta with a piece of beef cheek (cooked like a pot-au-feu, tasteless) 2 desserts, again without a menu to check the price... Well, 126 euros. So I'm going to ask for an explanation because the French know it well, eating in Italy is much cheaper than in France. Last time in Sestriere for 2 we paid 40 euros!! Aperitif, antipasti, two dishes and two desserts!?!? What is this madness? The boss when I asked him to explain the bill not very pleasant, and by the way 9 euros service charge, lol the first time I pay service charge! So run away, on the snow front the restaurants are excellent and really cheap and the menu ♥️. September 2025

31/08/2025: This is the third time in two years I've been here. I'll start by saying the gelato is decent, nothing more. I make gelato myself, so I know what I'm talking about. The service, however, depends on the manager's mood. It's not always pleasant. But the real problem is something else. The prices. By law, they must be displayed. Here, besides being very high and unjustified, they're never shown. €6 for a cup of three flavors is unacceptable. It's also punishable by law. I don't think it's fair. I won't be returning.

11/12/2025: The best cakes you can find anywhere! The Vineria has now become a stop on our trip to and from the sea, when we pass over Col di Nava towards Imperia. The atmosphere is pleasant, furnished in a spartan but pleasant style, typical of the essential mountain restaurants that aren't crowded. Unique photos and drawings make it particularly charming in their simplicity. For Lego lovers, there's no shortage of Ferraris, a sailboat, a Christmas train, and a Christmas tree... And the cakes handmade by the lady are unsurpassed!! In short, passing through Ormea without stopping by the winery is a real shame!
