30/11/2025: Restaurant review The bottle of wine wasn't opened at the table, and the wine wasn't tasted. We didn't choose the truffles (a business lunch specifically to sample white truffles) (as was usually the case), and they weren't weighed at the table before and after grating (as was usually the case). The truffles smelled good but had no flavor: it would have been nice to have asked us beforehand. So the dishes were average. Overall, really disappointing.

29/10/2025: We did not stay here fortunately but were looking for a quick lunch in the village. This was the worst dining experience during our holiday and possibly one of the worst meals ever. After a long wait we got a table. We didn’t expect culinary delights but we thought how hard it is to ruin a soup or a pasta in Piedmont? Both were bland and worst examples of the same dishes on this trip. But it’s the main course which stood out: both short ribs and cod stew were inedible. When the waiter noticed that we left our plates virtually untouched and was told what was wrong he did absolutely nothing about it. Same with the restaurant manager who calmly accepted our money and sounded surprised that their food was bad. Other diners were complaining in the restaurant both about the wait and quality of food. Not sure how you can act as if you haven’t heard this before? Instead she managed to inflate some prices on the bill and we paid over a 100 euros for this disgusting meal. It should be criminal offence to serve such terrible food!

19/08/2025: Nothing special. €56 for two people for water, two appetizers, and two first courses. Passing by on our way back from the Nivolet pass. Downside? They didn't have polenta...

07/08/2025: A simple aperitif with a rich buffet of their products. Affordable, informal.

27/09/2025: Good selection of herbal teas and ice creams, but the aperitifs are very limited and inconclusive. Funnily enough, the debit card for using your debit card under €10 isn't accepted...

22/11/2025: I went to Antonino Cannavacciolo's Banco for a snack, the place was welcoming and the desserts were excellent.

29/10/2025: Overpriced for what they offer, ordinary croissants, zero service. $3.50 for a cappuccino, and you even have to carry it to the table on a tray. It's just a money-wasting bar.

07/11/2025: We went for an aperitif at the Lo Scalo restaurant. It had a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and was very clean. We sat inside, which was well-heated, and ordered the platter of cured meats and cheeses. The flavors were excellent, authentic, and of high quality. The fried gnocco was SUPERB!!!! The seafood spaghetti was delicious, as were the fillet steak and the pizza. In short, everything was perfect. The kindness of the waiter and the sweetness of the owner were unique on Lake Maggiore. We'll gladly return to be pampered again. Highly recommended.

07/10/2025: The rudest waiter at the entire lake, and the service was commensurate. It's actually unimaginable that when we asked for antipasti, we were shown an empty plate at the next table as a sample...

27/09/2025: the food is vibrant colorfull and most importantly flavorful. The mezes are fun and ready to be share meanwhile the main: meatballs with the burnt eggplant sauce it is just a delicacy you do not want to share with no one. The wine list is what you expect lots of Italian options as well as internationals bottles. Overall a good service that was always available. Highly adviced

21/07/2025: A great find, fresh fish, generous portions. We were definitely surprised by this restaurant, which didn't promise much, but instead... I'll definitely be back.

08/07/2025: The waitress was excellent but the owner was arrogant and rude, to say the least.

17/12/2025: The lunch for the 1947 conscripts was completely disappointing. And the portions were extremely small. For example, even when we asked for more, the waiter only put out 4 agnolotti, saying there would be mixed fried fish afterward. It's true that we took home 9 trays, but the food was so good that not even the cats ate it, with all the zucchini, eggplant, and liver... and then I've never seen mixed fried fish with zucchini and eggplant... and the liver was so tough it could have been broken by a dog's teeth or iron... POOR CATS. A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

12/10/2025: Came here after leaving a nearby un-named restaurant that has a Michelin star but was super disappointing (so bad that we left that restaurant hungry). Anyways, came here afterwards for a dessert. We got the panna cotta It was delicious, service was friendly, wish we’d come here in the first place. Might come back for lunch.

09/10/2025: Super good food, very nice service, the terrasse behind is super quiet. The tagliatelle with duck... Just amazing
