The service is excellent, and the waitresses and the owner are very kind and helpful. They even made gluten-free pasta for my celiac child, which was greatly appreciated. We'll be back!

05/10/2025: Perfect! One day in Acqui Terme, we happened to be wandering through the narrow streets and spotted this restaurant. We immediately noticed its charming and beautiful outdoor area filled with colorful flowers! We stopped for lunch and were greeted by a very kind man who provided impeccable and attentive service. The dishes were very well prepared, delicious, and presented with care and elegance. We loved the good, typical Piedmontese cuisine, along with a few revisited dishes. We'd definitely return during truffle season. :)

09/03/2026: Terrible experience with Hotel Dufour. Today I tried to contact the hotel seven times in the afternoon, from 1:16 PM to 5:24 PM, with no response. Not only did no one answer my calls, but I didn't even receive a callback or even a simple message saying I'd be contacted as soon as possible. I fully understand that there can be busy times, but completely ignoring a guest for over four hours is behavior I find truly unprofessional. Even a brief message or callback would have been enough to demonstrate care and respect. This type of customer service unfortunately gives a very negative impression of the hotel's management. If this is how potential guests are treated even before booking, I can't imagine how the service is during their stay. A decidedly disappointing experience.

21/12/2025: Good morning, just stayed here. Excellent location, my room had a view of the slopes, which are right in front of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and competent, led by the attentive and discreet manager, Marcello. I'll definitely be back.

16/11/2025: Terrible experience! I booked a double room through Booking.com for myself and my sixteen-year-old daughter from August 13th to 17th, 2025. On August 13th, we arrived at the property in the afternoon as planned. The room was beautiful, spacious, and the staff were friendly, even towards our furry friend. We spent a pleasant day exploring Sestriere and had dinner at a local restaurant, Dormiano. Unfortunately, on the morning of August 14th, at 7:00 a.m., my sister called to inform me that my father had passed away suddenly (he was in good health and hadn't woken up). So, after this rather shocking news, I packed my bags with the help of my daughter, went down to reception, told them I had to go home due to the sudden loss, and just had a coffee with a waitress who chased me around the dining room because I was at the wrong table! (They didn't list any room numbers or tickets indicating they were occupied.) I loaded up the car and returned to reception to pay. Surprise, they charged me the full amount for the four nights, blaming Booking.com's terms. I didn't argue because my only thought at that moment was to return home to my widowed mother and my sisters. I shook my head to express my disappointment and lack of empathy, and told the receptionist that I would report the matter to Booking.com. After a few days, between the trauma of losing my father, arranging funerals and visits for relatives, and immense grief, I contacted Booking.com. Booking.com candidly replied that they were entitled to a refund for the difference in the amount due to the loss. Since the reservation had required payment directly at the hotel, the hotel could agree on the price for one night and that they would contact the hotel themselves to get me a refund for the nights I hadn't stayed. In short, Booking.com was saying the exact opposite of what Hotel Du Col claimed, and proof of this is the Hotel Du Col's refusal to refund Booking.com, despite having provided my father's death certificate dated August 14th. Well, I believe that sometimes rules need to be set aside and we need to be humane, empathetic, and professional. Perhaps I would have stayed at this property on other occasions, grateful that they had understood the situation, or I would have given them good publicity. Instead, here I am. I'm sorry, but I consider them real thieves, since they must have resold my money, considering it was August 15th! So, not only was it a terrible summer, but also a terrible experience at Hotel Du Col, a night that was decidedly too expensive!!! Decide for yourself whether or not you want to stay at this property.

02/03/2026: We ordered a variety of food and drinks. I personally saw the waitress writing on the list, and it was correct. The bill they gave us was incorrect, and they didn't provide a receipt. I asked for clarification, and the waitress replied that the bill was indeed incorrect, but she had ordered an extra platter, which I wouldn't have asked for anyway because I'm vegetarian (regardless of the extra platter, the bill was still €6 higher). I tried to explain this several times, and her response was a grammatical correction and a very rude response, saying, "Are you coming to work for me on Sundays?" She gave me my money back, annoyed, and still didn't issue a receipt the second time either. Throughout all this, I kept saying I'd see what my colleague had written on the slip of paper, but strangely, they wouldn't produce it. Embarrassing.
