13/04/2026: I'll start by saying that my wife and I loved everything: the location, the food, the service... We ate potatoes, tomino cheese and ajoli, a slow-cooked egg, trout salad, ravioli from the Varaita Valley, and, for dessert, a tart—all very good. I drank two dark beers (I don't remember the name) and my wife a pale one, both very pleasant. All for €37 each. I should also add the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, and applaud the project to revive a mountain village.

07/11/2025: The oven is very good, express pizzas and fresh bread, it's worth stopping by for a quick snack or just for bread to eat at home

18/10/2025: The bread selection, compared to what I see in other similar establishments in Rome and, especially, in Germany, is absolutely banal, even miserable. The pizza section is somewhat of a saving grace. The sore point also applies to the limited variety of supplì and arancini, which are also expensive! Today, October 12, 2025, I paid €2.80 for an arancini that, in early September, I had paid €2.50. Finally, the subtle rudeness of the staff deserves to be criticized. 20/11/2025: Perfect for an appetizer, they give you chips, olives, pickles, bread rolls, and a kind of focaccia. The service is excellent! We highly recommend it!

11/10/2025: Barotto is a welcoming and upscale venue in the heart of Milan, on Via Vincenzo Monti. Ideal for an aperitif with friends or a light lunch, it combines a relaxed atmosphere with quality dishes.

01/04/2026: Location 5 because it's close to the Juventus stadium. The rest is a disaster, especially for the price you have to spend on a room. The rooms are reasonably well-maintained, the bathroom is clean. No soap in the shower. I've never been, but I felt like I was in a cell 🤣 If you don't have high expectations, I recommend it, otherwise I don't recommend it.

31/03/2026: I didn't try the hotel, but I did go to the restaurant to celebrate a birthday. The dinner was good, the waiters were friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the entertainment was excellent.

27/11/2025: I stumbled upon it, being a tourist, by chance. But it couldn't have been better. Amazing croissants, excellent coffee, delightful atmosphere, and the girl who served me was friendly and super kind. She was also patient, because in the morning I'm so confused when I first wake up and ask things like, "Can I have two coffees in one cup?" "Do you mean a double?" "Exactly." I'll be back in Turin in a month, staying at San Salvario again, and having more spectacular breakfasts. I can't wait!

28/12/2025: I used to play bowling when I was 20. Now, at 65, I'm discovering that, while still fun, it's become quite difficult. The balls are getting heavier and heavier, and the joints are struggling to tighten. But even coming in last, I had fun. Then there's the darts... which a very kind employee took care to explain to us. We boomers didn't understand a thing. BUT even here, between one dart and another, my big group was laughing out loud with playful euphoria. It doesn't matter if the place is ultra-perfect and stratospheric... Maybe this isn't what we see on American TV shows... The beauty is getting together with friends in cheerful competitions... It doesn't matter if you don't find a Michelin-starred restaurant or pizzeria at the exit... Happiness lies in communion and being together with friends. Great experience. Ciao. P.S. Question: why do my shots always go into the gutter or off to the side??? :-)

05/11/2025: A truly perfect experience! About a week before our stay, they notified us via WhatsApp that the indoor pool would be undergoing maintenance, but upon our arrival, they were super kind and offered us a free upgrade to a suite with an in-room jacuzzi. We then tried the sensory experience with Luigi, which was truly fantastic: from the spa to the Turkish bath, to the stone walk and the bell ringing experience, everything was meticulously planned. This part also deserves a 10 out of 10. We also had a couples massage with Barbara and Giovanni, both super professional and attentive, a relaxing and top-notch experience. The service outside the spa was impeccable, too: we forgot our slippers and they provided them for free, and they offered us a flute of wine with appetizers as an aperitif, a truly appreciated gesture. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always available. Highly recommended, 10 out of 10!

02/11/2025: The castle's exterior is visually stunning; at night, the lighting is elegant and dramatic. The welcome was warm, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The castle interior didn't convince me; I expected a more sophisticated spa area, with the scents and sensations that typically characterize this area. The pool was under renovation, so we weren't able to use it. The room was spacious with modern furnishings and a high ceiling. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint because of the stains. It's unpleasant to see dirty curtains. There's no Smart TV with Netflix and other apps. This 4-star property needs some rethinking.

13/08/2025: Excellent place, everything was neat and spotlessly clean. Good service. The coffee they served was excellent, with a blend of flavors that I really enjoyed. As soon as I'm back in Rivarolo, I'll be back to try it again.

19/04/2026: I just bought a waffle that had five different flavors plus cream. The flavors were: hazelnut, zuppa inglese, pistachio, cupolone, and biscotti. Do you know what I thought I was tasting the same flavor for all five scoops? I only noticed the flavor was different when the zuppa inglese cake was in it, but otherwise, everything seemed the same, only the name changed. Not even the pistachio or hazelnut flavor! For me, it's the worst in Novara.

19/04/2026: (April 2026:) Very good gelato, with a wide variety of flavors, all delicious... 🍦 We especially tried the coconut flavor, which was incredibly refreshing and not too sweet! 🍨 The gelato shop offers a wide range of flavors to choose from, from fruit flavors to traditional creams and more innovative and unique flavors, and they also make granitas and waffles. 🧇 The gelato shop is located just steps from the Sacro Cuore Church, and you can sit down to enjoy your gelato on one of the benches in the square, whose atmosphere makes the experience even more delightful. The prices are a bit high, but you have to pay for this kind of quality (a two-flavor cup and a cone with two scoops are €6.60). The only negative is the staff, unfortunately, who are not very courteous and unhelpful. I'm referring to the fact that when I asked for clarification on how a flavor was prepared, I received a hasty and at times almost "annoyed" response. It's a shame I wasn't able to try the limited-edition "white coffee" flavor, as the girl at the counter couldn't explain in detail what it contained and how it differed from the plain coffee flavor commonly found at other ice cream shops. We'll definitely be back, hoping for better service, because the products are truly impeccable quality! I would, however, recommend specifying which flavors are vegan or lactose-free to accommodate specific intolerances or dietary restrictions.

19/03/2026: We went there last night and I have to say that the pizza was raw on the inside and overcooked on the top, the dough was very stringy, the pizza chef was a bit grumpy in his manner, and the place was small but not bad.

08/02/2026: This has always been my go-to pizzeria in the Corso Marconi area. Interesting dough variations and a welcoming outdoor seating area perfect for summer. Excellent and super-fast takeout.
