14/07/2025: July 13, 2025, lunch at the old barn. It was a beautiful day. The location, surrounded by greenery, was excellent and very well-maintained, perfect for relaxing and for children! Excellent food, fresh produce, and a warm welcome! I recommend it, especially for families!

16/07/2025: I always eat well at lunchtime. The steak and salads are excellent. The beer is excellent on tap, and the service is always friendly. I absolutely recommend the Oca.

26/05/2025: I was passing through and we stopped for lunch, the staff was very kind! Nice and clean place. Unfortunately, regarding the food, some things were good, others to be criticized... when I got the bill I was shocked! For a moment I thought I was in Montecarlo, and the price would have been justified! But in Borgomanero NO and not with poor quality and cooking that left much to be desired! Never again

25/06/2025: Ho avuto il piacere di pranzare e cenare per due giorni presso il ristorante Il Rifugio, scelto e selezionato dalla mia azienda per un soggiorno di lavoro. Fin dal primo momento, il locale ha trasmesso una sensazione di cura e accoglienza: ordine e pulizia impeccabili, un ambiente davvero piacevole e ben tenuto. Ogni piatto servito è stato una piacevole scoperta: la presentazione curata nei minimi dettagli, capace di valorizzare al meglio le portate, e il gusto... semplicemente eccellente. Si percepisce chiaramente la scelta di materie prime di alta qualità e un’attenzione particolare nella preparazione. Il servizio è stato all’altezza delle aspettative: personale cordiale, attento e professionale, sempre disponibile e con il sorriso. Ottimq esperienza gastronomica che ha superato ogni aspettativa, rendendo il soggiorno ancora più piacevole. Consiglio vivamente Il Rifugio a chi cerca una cucina di qualità in un ambiente curato e accogliente.

14/07/2025: During a trip to the magical setting of Lago delle Fate, we stopped at the Lanti restaurant and enjoyed a genuine gastronomic experience rich in authentic flavors. We sampled two traditional Ossola dishes: polenta with melted cheeses and polenta with tapulone. 🧀 The polenta with cheeses was creamy and rich, with a bold yet well-balanced drizzle of local cheeses, served in a hot terracotta pot that further enhanced its aroma and texture. 🍖 The tapulone—a historic dish made with finely minced donkey meat, slowly cooked with vegetables—was extraordinarily tender and flavorful, accompanied by a rustic polenta, perfectly dense and compact. A true immersion in the flavors of traditional Piedmont. The staff was kind and welcoming, the service quick and attentive, and the surrounding natural setting made the experience even more enjoyable. A place I recommend to anyone who wants to rediscover authentic mountain flavors in a relaxed, family atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

14/06/2025: Kind and courteous staff, place just before arriving at the lake of the fairies, do not expect a menu from a big restaurant, but you eat well without too many pretensions, excellent cured meats. Good value for money

17/07/2025: Siamo stati in questo locale con amici ed a differenza delle altre volte che siamo stati qui non c'era il menu' fisso, ma bensì il menu' alla carta. Premesso che la qualità del cibo è sempre di buona fattura, a mio parere la cosa caratteristica di questo locale e che con il menu' fisso le portate passano più volte ed è quello che ti aspetti ed apprezzi da un buon agriturismo. In questo caso ognuno aveva il proprio piatto e varietà d i scelta, ma non c'e stata possibilità di fare il bis. Sicuramente a parità di spesa (35/40 Euro a persona) il menu' alla carta non mi ha soddisfatto. Comunque abbiamo mangiato bene ed anche la scelta dei vini è buona, ma non siamo rimasti soddisfatti. Il servizio lascia un pò a desiderare così come la location.

25/05/2025: Abbiamo raggiunto la struttura alle 13.30, la figlia dei proprietari, gentilissima, si è subito resa disponibile preparandoci un tavolo. Ci ha proposto un menù degustazione chiarendoci che sarebbe stato possibile gustare anche solo una parte di questo… a partire dagli antipasti caldi e freddi, passando dai primi piatti come le tagliatelle in due varianti di condimento, alla crema di zucchine e salsiccia oppure al ragù, arrivando poi ai secondi quali arrosto di vitello oppure l’agnello e per finire con i dolci… abbiamo deciso insomma di assaggiare tutto concedendoci anche i bis proposti dagli oste! Tutto davvero eccellente! Degna di particolare nota inoltre la carta dei vini molto completa e ricca di proposte locali. Prezzo contenuto in rapporto alla qualità di quanto offerto. Complimenti, se passeremo nuovamente da queste parti non mancheremo di fare nuovamente visita magari per cena e approfittando della proposta per il pernottamento.

24/06/2025: Alessandro took care of the catering for our wedding and everything was perfect! He took care of the aperitif islands with attention, precision, elegance and refinement with beautiful and tasty finger food, cold cuts, cheeses and many other delicacies (everything was served in abundance). All the courses of the menu we agreed were also delicious. Spectacular wedding cake, beautiful, tasty and decorated with real roses. Highly recommended!!

21/04/2025: It's been a year since we ate pizza from them, and we remembered why. For two pizzas to take away (+1 for Nutella) we had to remember that a burrata was missing and that the Nutella pizza was missing. Consequently, since the pizzas were already out, they made the one with Nutella at the last minute, the result? 3/4 raw. Since we were already waiting, I would have waited even those extra minutes to have it cooked. For pizzas, pay €15 each and find 5 chips on the cross and very few meatballs, maybe not. We will continue not to go there. I attach the photo of the pizza with Nutella.

24/03/2025: Gradita sorpresa: la pizza qui ci piace Sabato scorso ho prenotato dopo diversi anni un tavolo in questo ristorante per me e mio figlio. Accolti con garbo da una graziosa cameriera ci accomodiamo al tavolo e sfogliato il menù digitale comprendiamo che non è più una creperie ... noi siamo venuti apposta per mangiare le crepes ... la pizza non ci fa impazzire ... Ed invece sorpresona: la pizza che ci viene servita è proprio buona e ci soddisfa a pieno. Ritorneremo sicuramente per la gentilezza del personale, per la gustosa pizza, i drliziosi dessert e per assaggiare anche i piatti della cucina che abbiamo adocchiato quando venivano serviti agli altri tavoli Gradevole e lodevole anche la survey che il locale effettua i giorni successivi per verificare la soddisfazione del cliente

19/02/2025: Personale gentilissimo nulla da dire ma la pizza orrenda impasto senza sale insipido nonostante ci fosse il locale mezzo vuoto e le persone al tavolo già erano state servite abbiamo aspettato più di mezz'oretta per due pizze almeno fossero state buone l attesa era piacevole nn ci torno più .

23/07/2025: Passing through Dronero, we chose a place somewhat at random. They don't serve pizza for lunch (at least the day we stopped by, which was a Friday), and we couldn't eat inside (the traffic outside isn't the best atmosphere and view...). We had gnocchi with Castelmagno cheese, which were delicious and a generous portion, grilled vegetables, spinach, and a nougat parfait. Overall, the food was good, the welcome was rustic, but it's frequented by regulars.

30/06/2025: You can get very good pizza here for an unbeatable price. Unfortunately, we didn't really feel welcome. Perhaps it was because it was a long Sunday or because we don't really speak Italian; I don't imagine hospitality to be like that. It's a shame, because, as I said, the food and the value for money are actually excellent.
