16/08/2025: The restaurant is neat and clean. Meticulously maintained, with a casual atmosphere. We had to leave after the second course due to an emergency, but the owners were extremely accommodating, accommodating us and offering us the option to return the next day. The traditional menu is also highly recommended for the wine pairing.

12/08/2025: We were served and pampered throughout the lunch, including a wine tasting from the cellar. A magnificent experience, we'll definitely be back! And a special thanks to Chef Gianpaolo!

23/08/2025: We found it by chance and were very satisfied! A very cute retro place, very friendly staff, and delicious pizzas with a wide selection. Both the lager and the red beer are very good! But the coffee served in the coffee maker is top-notch! Compliments to the staff!!!

02/10/2025: This summer we had the pleasure of dining at the Leon d'Oro Restaurant in Canale d'Alba, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously crafted, perfect for making you feel at ease. A huge compliment goes to chef Irene, who showcases local products with balanced, creative, and authentically flavorful dishes. Each course was meticulously crafted, not only in flavor but also in presentation. A special thanks to Ilaria, the owner, and the head waiter, who welcomed us with professionalism and kindness: their passion shines through in every attention they give to their guests. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return: a place we recommend to anyone seeking quality, authenticity, and hospitality.

13/09/2025: I stayed at this property for an afternoon at the spa. What can I say? It was immaculately maintained and incredibly relaxing. Truly a gem! The outdoor pool (not heated, but even today, with the overcast sky, it was lovely) has a spectacular view of the Monferrato hills. End the day with a lovely aperitif in the garden. Everything was perfect!

11/09/2025: In general it is a nice hotel with a great restaurant. But there is still room for improvement. The location is a bit off from the hotspots but super quiet with a nice view, garden and architecture. The pool area is nice but one can tell that the adjacent rooms are to be modernized when compared to the stylish hotel and restaurant itself. The wine list is impressive and you should have ld definitely try their own wines. We grabbed a few for our collection at home. The staff is nice, the service super attentive and welcoming. They try to fix everything thar might arise. We stayed a week and enjoyed it a lot. It is also a great place for trips to Asti, Novara, Torino and more. The restaurant has a great quality of products and is super nice interior-wise. The rooms are a bit small, but they have almost everything you need. But there are a few things that we missed or did not like that much. For starters, they had shampoo etc. but no conditioner. That would be an easy win. The air conditioning is a bit weird as you cannot really get below 21 degrees celcius and it seemed to reset to some sort of default settings. This lead to a rather warm climate. Moreover, our air conditioning was pointed towards the bed so we felt the air all the time in bed. Not the ideal setup in my opinion. Another thing we noticed was that the pillows were not ideal. You could put two on top of each other, which would make them to high or only use one which was too low. I know that this is personal preference, but compared to other hotel beds this felt like a miss. On thing we noticed rather late was that our mosquito net at the window was broken at the bottom, which caused an influx of insects unfortunately. And our shower glass wall had a little defect - probably some guest smashed it against a wall or shower hose as the handling requires a bit of "training". The gym is also nice even though finding it wasn't that obvious - maybe set up some signage? And a desinfactant spray or tissue was missing plus a proper indoor bike. The bar has a lot of potential, which I hope the owners see and will lake use of soon. The Internet needs some improvement, but it was working most of the time. The spa is small but nice, but I can imagine that in bad weather or winter the space light be too small for all hotel guest plus day spa guests. But we enjoyed the stay, the warmth and professionalism and if we ever come. Back to the region we will for sure drop in and say hi.

06/10/2025: Second time at the club. The first for lunch, and the second we tried a delicious merenda sinoira, all after a delightful walk exploring the Germanasca Valley and its wild herbs with Angelo. He and Daniela are the club's highlight, besides, of course, the breathtaking views and the food. They welcome you into their home as if you were an old friend. In fact, we truly felt at home.

01/11/2025: The seafood plate was 50/50, I didn't like that the fried foods were cold. The dessert was just great, it made up for all the disappointments. But the pasta with swordfish was a complete disappointment. The smell was so bad that I completely refused to eat it.

01/11/2025: Business lunch in Vercelli on Corso Garibaldi. A restaurant and pizzeria in the center of Vercelli. Welcoming atmosphere, attentive staff, and a very friendly, helpful, and courteous owner. The daily specials are interesting; the rice-based starters are good, while the main courses are a bit elaborate. Popular with students and office workers. Prices are reasonable. We'll be back.

11/10/2025: Business lunches 10 years ago are fond memories of better times when the food was decidedly better. The service from the waitress was truly poor, especially her very unhelpful attitude, with rude responses that were never polite. The atmosphere is decent, allowing for a relaxed conversation. The coffee is good, and the crème brulee dessert is questionable. Otherwise, better can be done.

14/10/2025: A very simple but well-stocked takeout pizzeria. The pizza chef is buzzing with excitement, making so many pizzas while answering the phone and working the register! And the pizza is really good, too. There's also that Rick & Morty touch that never hurts. In addition to the pizzas they make fresh (although they make a lot and get a lot of orders, so if you want it fresh, you might have to wait an hour during peak hours), they also have pre-made slices. There are five chairs inside, but outside is the beautiful Almese square where you can wait and, if you want, even eat.
