26/12/2025: The first poor experience with food in Italy. The waitress had little knowledge about wine choices and dry cold potato from yesterday as a side dish. We broke the rule not to enter empty restaurants and we paid for it

26/12/2025: What a terrible experience. when we arrived we were ask if we have a reservation, and the place was empty... we were the only guests. (a red flag we missed). I ask for a sweet desert vine and got a dry white instead. The waitresses had no clue what the sweet vine is... I ordered a pork file which was server raw. I send it back and got back the same piece warmed up in magnetron. Nearly uneatable... then I tried the potato... it was old from a day before and cold... disgusting. We had enough of bad experience. Ask for a bill... 110,- and when I complain that they charge me for the main dish I didn't even ate, the answer was: You are a piece of it!!!! And a lot of people were telling us that the good reviews they have are the fake ones. Don't go there.

20/03/2026: Update 2026: After the initial excitement, I returned here a few weeks ago, and it was an experience I'll never forget, unfortunately. I had to go home because I felt sick all evening and night after eating. I ordered an egg and a mussel sauté, so I'm not sure which one was the problem, but I don't think I'll be back. Also, the prices have gone up unjustifiably compared to the quality. The egg arrived lukewarm, as did two other dishes my partner ordered. The tuna was tough, the mashed potatoes cold and not creamy, and the baked potatoes were also undercooked and flavorless, some cold and some lukewarm. Plus, they don't bring bread or croutons with the mussel sauté, which has never happened before. If you ask for bread, you pay extra; in my case, a gluten-free mini sandwich cost even more. I no longer recommend it; despite the friendly staff, the quality has dropped significantly.

25/02/2026: The atmosphere is lovely and very intimate. Excellent food, an extra star for the octopus meatballs in tomato sauce!! I would have eaten 10 more!! The same goes for the cod ones!! The owner is very kind, helpful, and charming! The prices are average, medium/high, but the quality is worth it. We'll be back!

08/02/2026: At "Gladiatore" we found a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick, but with appropriate pauses between courses. We celebrated my wife and daughter's birthday with delicious seafood dishes. We chose exquisite local wines, as recommended. The lady made an amazing cake with white chocolate cream dipped in orange juice and whipped cream, garnished with orange slices—so much so that we all asked for seconds! To finish, we had coffee and an excellent myrtle liqueur. Fair prices. Given the promise, we'll definitely be back to try the meat dishes! :)

14/02/2026: I strongly advise against this place. I attempted to book through Google at 12:13 for 1:00 PM, using the system that showed availability. When I received no confirmation, I called at 12:25 (note: the stated opening time is 12:30 PM) and was verbally assaulted by a remarkably rude individual. He responded in an unacceptably annoyed tone, saying, "Hey, you booked a little while ago and we're still eating," and that they hadn't even looked at the management system. He dismissed me with a condescending, "We're fully booked." If your lunch is more important than your customers and your business, close the restaurant to the public. Treating people with this arrogance is a sign of a place that doesn't deserve consideration.

13/02/2026: I don't recommend this place for three reasons: 1. The plates are like dented pots that move around. 2. I didn't like the pasta (it counts). It's definitely an old place. Good heavens, the wooden chairs. It's from the 1300s.

25/02/2026: Quiet restaurant in a residential neighborhood,mostly local crowd. Not a touristy place, go there if you are looking for upscale, good quality food. Simple ambiance but excellent friendly service, English spoken. Assortment of freshly caught seafood and fish. Delicious food and out do this world dessert. Not cheap but worth it!

08/03/2026: Good morning, I'm very sorry to give an overall negative review of a renowned restaurant I've frequented over the years, but I've noticed a marked decline, especially in attendance, which is reflected in the atmosphere during dinner. The table service is impeccable, but we were directed to the back room, where the crowd was unpleasant, as if we'd been judged to be of the same standard. Then another table was occupied by people who were again unsuitable for the environment. The food was obviously good, but not up to expectations. I'd like to revise a few things.

08/02/2026: I've been a customer for twenty years, but now they're overdoing it. If you want to stay hungry, this has become the ideal place. Raw fish costs €50 for three small pieces. Garnished with a slice of apple. A fish steak, max 100g, costs €50. €170 for two, without wine. And on the way out, you'll have to find somewhere to eat.

13/01/2026: Top, Unique value for money, and then Miriam serving you makes all the difference, number one. I returned after a few years and I have to say that, if anything, they've improved in every way. If you're passing through Fiumicino, you MUST eat here at least once.

17/01/2026: Fantastic, to say the least, a real discovery in Torvaianica. The veranda overlooks the sea and offers truly delicious traditional dishes! I highly recommend it!

03/03/2026: Dropped in by chance. Good location, very loud. Bruschetta was good, pizza was bad, both arrived quickly but "thrown on the table" even more hastily. The inattentive and less than courteous service left me unhappy.

23/02/2026: I've been eating here for years, unfortunately on Saturday, even though I had booked, they gave away my table, keeping me happy by telling me it'll be ready in 5 minutes. And half an hour had passed, a total lack of seriousness!!!!! Maybe they don't care, but I won't be coming back again.

28/02/2026: I really liked this restaurant, as hidden as it is popular. Beautiful dining room, fully booked on a Friday in February. Fast and friendly service, with the Signora—sorry, Signora—who's always on the go and never misses a beat. Rich and substantial menu. Pleasant appetizer with various bruschetta, prosciutto, cured meats, and a bowl of beans with pork rind. Excellent polenta with sausage (half) and spare ribs (a small piece), with plenty of cheese served on the side. Excellent arrosticini. €150 for 6 people for 6 appetizers, 6 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 side dishes, 2 desserts, coffee, and liqueurs—it seems really friendly. Highly recommended. Book well in advance.

16/02/2026: It's been years since I've been, but it was nice to return and see that the quality of the food has remained the same. I really wanted to return, and especially to bring my partner... a partner who, even after two days, keeps saying we have to go back as soon as possible. Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the main course. We didn't have dessert because we didn't have any more room. 😅
