When I learned I was going to be in Venice for a weekend, I immediately knew I had to eat at Da Jonny's again -- the best meal I had on my trip to Venice several years ago. I've been thinking about the anchovy pasta ever since. This is a delightful and delicious little place tucked a bit off the beaten path, but well-worth seeking out and easy to get to when you know to go looking for it. On both visits the food has been divine and the staff has been warm, lovely, and friendly. This time they made me the anchovy pasta of my dreams though it is an off-menu dish, and we also enjoyed some incredible razorback clams and an exceptional octopus dish. Already looking forward to the next time my travels bring me back to Venice and to Da Jonny's!

Great place and food, I had the daily catch which was the sea bream and it was paired well with a white wine by the waiter. Turned out to be the best meal I had in Venice during my stay.

Excellent experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful; it was a real pleasure chatting with the owner. The menu offers both traditional classics and contemporary dishes. Generous portions. The mixed seafood appetizer is highly recommended.
