28/08/2025: We were seated immediately and given water, but that was the only positive part of the experience. We then waited over 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. When someone finally arrived, there was no welcome, no explanation of the menu—just a curt “give us your order.” We asked about drinks and were told the sommelier would come by, but after another 15 minutes no one ever showed up. At that point, we gave up. In total, we sat from 8:45 to 9:20 and had nothing but water. Meanwhile, every other table seemed to have 3–4 staff attending to them, which made us feel completely ignored and unwelcome. When we explained we were leaving, the response was dismissive and full of attitude. We’ve dined at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants across Italy, and the service has been outstanding everywhere else. Here, it was the worst experience of our trip. Honestly, the pizza place across the street that we settled on was far more welcoming and ultimately enjoyable.

28/08/2025: From the moment we arrived, the experience was confusing and unwelcoming. The restaurant doors were locked with no instructions on how to enter, and there was nobody at the reception area to greet us. We were seated right away once we got inside and given water, but oddly, it was placed on a side table out of reach, leaving us to get up and refill our own glasses since nobody came back to do it for us. After that, we sat for more than 20 minutes without anyone approaching us. I tried to make eye contact several times and couldn’t even meet eyes with a single employee. When a server finally did come over, there was no warmth or hospitality, just a blunt “give us your order.” We asked about drinks and were told they take your food order first at this restaurant, which was weird considering the table next to us had wine and food menus when we sat down. We were told by the server that a sommelier would come by after placing the food order, but no one ever did. Instead, another staff member dropped off a few breadsticks after 30+ minutes with no drinks or food, with no acknowledgment of the missing drink order, curtly told me to move my menu out of his way. I explained it was still there because I hadn’t been able to order a drink, but he couldn’t have cared less. The entire interaction felt dismissive and rude. All the while, other tables had multiple staff members hovering over them, making the lack of attention to us even more glaring. When we finally decided to leave, the staff’s response was apathetic at best, and again, delivered with attitude. We’ve visited several Michelin restaurants across Italy, and the service has always been extraordinary. This, however, was the worst dining experience of our trip. For a restaurant with such a reputation, the indifference and rudeness were shocking. In the end, the casual pizza place across the street treated us far better and was infinitely more enjoyable.

04/09/2025: It was our anniversary dinner, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Refined and original dishes show the chef's creativity and passion for his work. His delicious dishes even made my husband, who never eats fish, appreciate fish! The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, and the staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Excellent value for money. We'll be back.

28/08/2025: We had mussels, but unfortunately they weren't the best, even though the sauce was truly delicious. Then we had paccheri alla carbonara di pesce and a seafood salad. The paccheri were tasty at first, but as we ate more and more, they became a bit heavy. The seafood salad, on the other hand, was truly excellent. Overall, it was a pleasant meal!

24/08/2025: First time at this restaurant. Wonderful welcome. Courteous and very knowledgeable staff. The seafood lunch was excellent. We were served promptly despite the restaurant being full. The organization was perfect. The dishes were delicious and plentiful (fairly priced). Special praise to the waiter Luca, who was able to thoroughly and expertly explain the composition of the various dishes, allowing us to make a perfect choice. The location is beautiful, right on the seafront. Thank you for being there. Keep up the good work!

20/08/2025: A pleasant place near the Aniene River, with a wonderful, relaxing location and well-maintained restaurant and a picture-perfect balcony overlooking the river. The menu features interesting river fish and dishes expertly executed by the chef. Service is a bit slow, but the tranquil setting makes up for it. Desserts, in my opinion, aren't up to par with the rest, and above all, the bill is decidedly too high.

20/08/2025: Excellent cuisine, price appropriate for what you eat, it is worth a visit. I have visited it several times and have never been disappointed.

03/09/2025: We went to this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. Frankly, it's not up to par, even if they try to show off. I found it excessively expensive for the fish, which wasn't at all fresh. The dishes were bland. There are better places in Trapani, much better. For two, an appetizer, a main course, and a little wine, it was €88. It seems really excessive to me.

02/09/2025: I can only confirm the excellent reviews of this place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, the fish is excellent (the red mullet was amazing), and the dishes are generous. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. Congratulations, we'll be happy to return.

24/08/2025: A real discovery!!! We wanted to eat fish, but not the commercial kind you find in classic restaurants. We tried to make a reservation and were really lucky because we found everything we were looking for: very fresh and delicious fish!! I highly recommend it!!! We'll be back soon. The staff were knowledgeable and the experience was super positive!!! Well done!!! The staff was also very kind and friendly!! 🔝

15/08/2025: Angela, Vanni, Giovanna, and Claudio, we had lunch there midday on August 15th, and it was a wonderful discovery! The food was excellent, plentiful, and the staff were especially kind and helpful. We'll be back often because everything is simple yet delicious. Thank you, staff, you're amazing!

02/09/2025: Fantastic food and wine, very friendly and attentive service, cosy ambience (I recommend a table inside!). Although we were already pretty full after Antipasti and Primi, we couldn't stand trying out Secondi, which was equally great. Finishing the evening with a recommended glass of yellow grappa was a fine ending of a great supper

I highly recommend it for everything related to the service, with attentive staff ready to satisfy all our requests. Not to mention the excellent food, from appetizers to first courses to main courses, and not to mention my favorite salad, "La Sfiziosa," which is simply amazing. 09/08/2025: Welcoming atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent food. We spent four nights in the area and only ate at Dottor Fish on three nights because it was closed on the fourth. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

07/08/2025: Definitely the best place to eat well and affordably. Many places in the area tend to put on a show but then offer subpar service and food. Doctor Fish is a safe bet: clean and welcoming, excellent service, excellent dishes and fresh fish, and very good pizza. The desserts are varied and very tasty. The only flaw is perhaps the tiramisu, which fell short of expectations, but then again, you can't have everything. After several experiences at other places (and rightly so, when you're on vacation, you want to see new places), we've decided to always eat there. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. Even if you're more than 10 km away, we recommend trying it. It's almost impossible to find better in the area.

04/09/2025: Good products, fresh fish, the menu is not very clear, the hot appetizers cost 28 euros and it doesn't specify how many dishes there are. It says "multiple courses" but actually there are three. Greater clarity allows the customer to make a more informed choice.
