28/04/2025: Always a pleasant confirmation 👌🏻 the La Caveja Restaurant, a valid establishment to which we recently returned after a first visit dating back to last year. Having arrived on site at 8.00pm 🕗 directly from Classe, we immediately booked a table for 8.30pm 🕣 allowing ourselves, in the meantime, a short walk 🚶🏻🚶🏻‍♀️ to the beach behind (the sea 🌊 is always suggestive at dusk). At the appointed time we returned and took a seat, on the indication of the owner 🧔🏻‍♂️, at one of the two free tables on the left (he was kind in letting us choose the one in the corner). Leafing through the list 📋, which we mostly already remembered, we quickly opted for some tagliolini with seafood delicacies, a portion of basmati rice with Argentinian prawns 🍤 on curry sauce (proposal of the day not on the menu) and some mixed skewers. To complete the order there is also a liter of sparkling water 💧, half a still white wine 🥂 and a couple of coffees ☕️ at the end of the meal. Everything was really good 😋 and served quickly by the kind owner 🧔🏻‍♂️. My plate of tagliolini 🍝 is generous and the seasoning is very rich. Also worth mentioning are the excellent gratin of the skewers (based on prawns, cuttlefish and squid) and the softness of the meat (you could perceive the freshness of the raw materials used). The quality/price ratio is valid by virtue of the 64 euros 💶 total of the bill, then paid at the cash desk via card 💳. I really liked the inclusion in the price lists 📋 of a page recalling the history of the structure, opened in 1979 by the Biondi and Merloni family. The text then continues by revealing the origin of the denomination: «Do you know what "Caveja" is? ...its history is a brief glimpse of our Romagna...Since the end of the nineteenth century, the Caveja has been considered a symbol of Romagna. But what is it and what was this rustic and elegant instrument that accompanies today's representations of this land? This is an element that was generally applied to carts and towed plows, to give balance to agricultural vehicles and to prevent their load from sliding forward. Made up of a rod, called a stem, and a large and flat component, called a report card, the caveja is generally equipped with rings, the jingle of which cradled farmers and oxen, accompanying them along their journeys. Built entirely of wrought iron, it can be more or less elaborate: in some cases the ornaments of the report card depict rural symbols or floral motifs linked to natural phenomena. The rooster is undoubtedly the most widespread figure, but next to it are the sun, the moon, the cross and the eagle. Anyone who believes that the humble agricultural reality of Romagna is alien to beauty will have to admit that they are wrong, since the varied and refined forms assumed by the object in question totally deny this thesis (...)». Although I don't understand the connection between this and the nature of the place (which is not even found in a rural context) 🤔, I still appreciated this gem. The interior furnishings are simple and simple and, in fact, reminded me of those of trattorias. Another peculiarity of the structure is that it also offers the take-away rotisserie service through a special section dedicated to this (see photos 📸 attached 📎). Unfortunately the parking area 🅿️ is limited to a handful of spaces, so you may be forced to look elsewhere. We liked it so I RECOMMEND IT 👍🏻.

12/04/2025: Menus revised and increased in price compared to a few years ago. Small portions, not exceptional tagliolini with fish sauce, decent fried food, I chose the small lunch menu, but in the end I still paid €27.00, not a little for someone who has to have lunch on €5.00. Good meal, but I felt badly looked at by the waitress. I hope it was just my feeling...

25/03/2025: Very successful 50th anniversary evening. the service was impeccable, the location very pleasant. Too bad it was an evening event, I would have liked to see the resort as a whole. Very recommended.

15/03/2025: Nice, cute and elegant place with a nice outdoor space where you can dine outdoors (in summer) the waiters are very courteous the service is good on average for the place. I had a really, really good lunch.

03/05/2025: Di napoletano c’è solo il nome, pizza pessima con un impasto gommoso, ingredienti mancanti sulla pizza. Di sicuro non ci torneremo

13/04/2025: The pizza arrived cold, the dough resembled pancakes, soggy and inedible, and the toppings were added raw after baking. The service was uncoordinated and not attentive to the guests. One star is already too many.

28/04/2025: I hate giving negative reviews. Today we went to this ice cream shop with the family, the welcome from the two boys was rude. They responded badly to my wife, who asked for clarification on the flavors of the ice creams. The labels of the various ice creams are written by hand, in an unclear way, especially when there are people in front choosing. Differently nice cashier. We will definitely not return to this place. Ps: An ice cream = €4. They take advantage of this for tourists getting off cruise ships. By choice, my annoyed wife decided to leave the shop, giving up her drink, thus avoiding further hassle with the guys at the counter.

31/03/2025: Mi sono recato con un gruppo di amici a cena al ristorante da Patty su consiglio di un mio caro amico in passato cliente del ristorante. Con enorme dispiacere è stata una esperienza da non rivivere….. Come welcome alla proposta di una bollicina ci stappano una bottiglia di champagne da noi non richiesta…..e vabbè lasciamo andare,seduti al tavolo non ci viene portato il menù e il cameriere ci propone una crudités di pesce con scampi,gamberi rossi,ostriche più una sorpresa di sua iniziativa,come secondo ci propone una catalana per tutti, Premetto che(Una delle ragazze con noi,è vegetariana e quindi ha mangiato una grigliata di verdure con un pezzetto di formaggio e un primo al pomodoro!) Dopo un bel po ci arriva un antipasto di una battuta di gambero rosso al passion fruit e burrata! Ciò che sarebbe stata la sorpresa come piatto forte proposta dal cameriere era in realtà molto fredda! Appena tolta dal frigo che fava quasi fastidio Nel frattempo continuava il tentativo di vendita di un’ulteriore vino! dopo una 20ina di minuti arriva il solito cameriere che ci dice: “Ragazzi in arrivo la CATALANA,cambio di programma per non ingolfarmi sono passato al secondo diretto” Ulteriore tentativo di vendita di vino praticamente ancora tutti a stomaco vuoto….. Finalmente arriva la catalana!…… NON VE LA CONSIGLIO arriva questa catalana su un “Letto di insalata anziché verdure croccanti come da tradizione,qualche piccolo chicco d’uva un po’ di fragole e attenzione: LA CATALANA ERA FREDDA MARMATA!! TREMENDAAAA!! Accortosi della figura il cameriere ci porta una tartare di pesce in tavolo con un salmone che sembrava di Chernobyl……😱 Avviliti e con la fame addosso proviamo a chiedere un dolce Dolce Normale Io ho preso un Tiramisù ed era di una famosa azienda quindi era buono! Al fine arriva il conto Con una bottiglia di Blangè Ceretto e uno champagne(non richiesto) Totale scontrino 751€ in 6 con una ragazza che ha mangiato Verdure. DECISAMENTE UNA DELLE PIÙ TREMENDE ESPERIENZE DI CUCINA DELLA MIA VITA! Sconsiglio vivamente

14/07/2024: Siamo ritornati, io e mia moglie, in questo ristorante a distanza di pochi mesi dalla volta precedente e abbiamo molto poco da aggiungere alla precedente recensione: locale sempre pulito e accogliente, cibo superlativo, prezzi più che onesti e adeguati alla qualità e alla quantità delle portate. Due notazioni aggiuntive: abbiamo provato per la prima volta la pizza con lo stocco : eccezionale l'impasto e riuscitissimo l'abbinamento con lo stocco; abbiamo conosciuto inoltre la sig.ra Antonella e la sig.ra Ivana sorelle della sig.ra Isabella con la quale formano un "trio" impagabile per simpatia, competenza e garbo nel consigliare e spiegare le pietanze, bravura nel prepararle e "attenzione" al cliente senza mai risultare invadenti.E' stato un vero piacere cenare in questo locale. Punteggio cinque palline non potendone dare dieci meritatissime. Più che consigliato. Complimenti e alla prossima. Cesare e Franca. Roma

23/06/2024: Sono stata a cena con amici di Milano con i quali è tradizione andare dalla Mamma a mangiare lo stocco. Purtroppo non è più il ristorante di una volta, è peggiorato nella qualità e i prezzi sono alle stelle. 47 euro a persona in una trattoria sono un furto!

04/05/2025: Evening in Viareggio, I was tempted by the turnout of the previous days, but I did badly. 1 Fish starter consisting of seafood salad, industrial in my opinion, good flan, scallop shell stuffed with a mixture of minced fish au gratin and 80's prawn cocktail. 2 Spaghetti with seafood, actually mussels, some clams and traces of squid, 1 liter of house white wine, 1 mineral water €60. I regretted not asking for explanations when they brought me the starter.. I made my complaints in the end and I was wrong!!

04/05/2025: We went for dinner, ordering pizzas and a ribeye with chips. Good food (pizzas a little burnt). Very sore point: the service! The pink-haired waiter has in order: passed the heavy and very hot rib to a child, cleaned the plates with the pizza edges by dropping them on my wife (without apologizing at all) and dirtied my daughter's bag! What can I say... a bad evening can probably happen

05/05/2025: Consiglio questo Ristorante - Pizzeria per gli ottimi piatti serviti e per la bontà delle pizze che abbiamo avuto modo di assaggiare. Digeribili e farcite con prodotti di qualità. Non essendo più giovanissimi, io e mio marito amiamo cenare presto, e qui è possibile, mentre nei classici ristoranti purtroppo si cena generalmente dopo le 19,15 circa. Percio' lo considero l'ideale sia per chi ha problemi di orari, di famiglia, di impegni, o per chi semplicemente desidera cenare ad orari "non classici". Un plauso a tutto il personale: siamo stati serviti da diversi camerieri/e, ma tutti davvero estremamente gentili e professionali.

05/05/2025: Das Essen ist hervorragend und das vorwiegend junge Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich, sprachlich mit italienisch, Englisch und Französisch kein Problem. Preislich sind die Speisen, wie in guten Restaurants in Österreich. Es ist die Möglichkeit im Restaurant, oder in der Gasse vor dem Eingang, zu Sitzen.

24/03/2025: There is little to say... on the occasion of a 50th birthday last weekend. Prompt and polite service, well-kept environment and food...: do you want to eat quality fish? You have no options, beautiful location. Highly recommended.

24/02/2025: a lunch to forget. table of 8 people, pasta arrived after 2 hours, probably they don't have the right means to manage the number of people they welcome, when asked to know how old the pasta was, the answer was that it was being creamed but this creaming lasted over 20 minutes, one of these first ones after two hours also arrived wrong which is why one person remained fasting as we arrived at 3pm after we had been there since 1pm we had to leave the place, the bill was given to us charged for an extra pasta which was pointed out and then excluded but at the same time 4 pastas with scampi and porcini mushrooms were invoiced for a total cost of 120 euros when we asked to avoid the porcini mushrooms but the final cost remained unchanged which is definitely absurd but even more absurd considering that one person went away without food.

16/04/2025: The food was ok, portions were rather small. Unfortunately, the staff was totally rude...

31/03/2025: The sea bass dish was more of an appetizer in size, but it was quite tasty. The squid, on the other hand, tasted delicious!
