It's rare to find a restaurant within a park serving excellent cuisine and quality products. Recommended by a lifeguard as traditional, we were pleasantly surprised to sample the innovations of Gabby (the restaurant's chef), who begins preparing her delicious dishes at dawn. The wait staff is equally courteous and professional.

What can I say... La Casa Colonica is a must-see on my trips to Ischia. I've always been to Negombo, and recently I had lunch with their wonderful aubergine parmigiana. The chef personally took me into her kitchen and explained the steps involved in making this specialty, served on an aubergine-shaped ceramic plate, like all their utensils, which is also exceptional for its setting and location.
