08/08/2025: Da Giovanino is a true institution in Porto Rotondo, masterfully serving authentic Sardinian haute cuisine with excellence. The experience was incredible—nothing fancy, just outstanding food, exceptional service, and an amazing selection of wines. If you can treat yourself to it, don’t hesitate—it’s absolutely worth it!

03/08/2025: Terrible service. Disliked by each individual. A negative impression already on our first visit two years ago (the place was empty in August). It was confirmed this year! Better to visit the other excellent restaurants in Porto Rotondo! Not knowing what we usually eat—good wines and abundant food—we were made to feel bad when our children, ages 12 and 14 (who would have only eaten a plate of pasta and drank water) ultimately decided not to come to dinner with us! As soon as we entered, we politely apologized for the fact that there were only two of us, and in response, they "scolded" us and treated us rudely, practically telling us to leave. Terrible! My husband and I spend unimaginable amounts of money on good food and wine, without even needing to be accompanied by our children!!!!!! Shame on you!

27/07/2025: I don't usually write negative reviews because I respect the work and those who work there, and I don't like it! I usually prefer not to write. Unfortunately, however, there were some serious shortcomings, and I can't help but write a review. In fact, in my opinion, this place still needs a lot of training, especially in terms of service and kitchen organization. It's unacceptable that someone ordered a dish (gratin calamari) at 12:15 and it was served at 1:45 PM, arriving only because I complained and pointed out that etiquette and common sense dictate that service should be served in decreasing order based on the orders taken, not at will. I noticed, in fact, that tables arriving much later had their dishes, and I stared at the wall waiting! Given the obvious discrimination, I'm justified in getting impatient and therefore calling the wait staff's attention to their mistake. Justifying yourself by claiming the room was full and everyone had ordered different dishes isn't the customer's problem. They're willing to pay 15 euros for a main course because they just wanted a quiet Sunday lunch, like everyone else in the world who chooses to dine out to be pampered. Of course, the dish arrived, but it still had to be cooked, not to mention the forced presentation. Catering isn't a job you can just do suddenly; either you know how to do it, or you're better off changing careers! PS: If you can't manage the kitchen with à la carte orders, there's always the option of a set menu.

04/08/2025: Excellent restaurant, with a beautiful seaside location. My girlfriend and I ordered two first courses and two second courses with a bottle of water and a glass of prosecco for €87 (fair price, excluding the cover charge). The portions are very good and generous, and the owner is really friendly. When we come to Elba, it's a regular stop; the food is truly delicious. 14/07/2025: A friend brought us, and we'll be forever grateful for that!! 😍 A welcoming place with a food quality that's hard to describe. The owner cooks in a beautiful open-plan kitchen, and his wife, Betty, serves. I recommend the raw fish, but especially the tuna tartar 🔝. The tubetti with mussels and beans were a spectacle. 12/07/2025: We went to Pescorante on July 11th to celebrate my birthday and were thrilled. It's a unique place: by day it's a fishmonger, by night it's a restaurant serving the freshest, perfectly cooked fish. We had: octopus, squid stuffed with escarole and provolone, spaghetti with clams, tartare, and mixed fried fish. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and generous portions. Impeccable service, with the owner being very kind and attentive: she made us feel right at home. The atmosphere with the open kitchen was also beautiful: watching the chefs at work is an added bonus. Excellent value. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity, freshness, and passion. We'll definitely be back!

10/04/2025: “The bruschettas are good, the grill is less so” I went to this restaurant for lunch and really enjoyed the bruschetta, which was really tasty. Unfortunately the mixed grill did not live up to expectations. The price seemed a little high compared to the overall quality. I give it 3 stars on average.

14/07/2025: We had lunch on Sunday, July 13th, and were greeted warmly. The staff was knowledgeable and attentive to their needs, and the cuisine was freshly prepared and presented, with fresh seafood dishes meticulously prepared and presented. A highly recommended experience!

30/06/2025: Where and what do you eat for lunch or dinner? A typical question for those who go on holiday away from home...... Finding ourselves in Genoa, Porto Antico area, I see these lights from afar that catch my attention, tables outside and large umbrellas to protect from the humidity. We approach and a boy welcomes us, but also a Lady (I later discover she is the owner), I ask both of them if, in addition to fish, they also did meat for my husband. They answer yes, yes. We sit down...... Friendliness, efficient service, requests fulfilled. WE ORDER...... I decide on a mussel soup and ask if they were fresh, since coming from the wonderful Sicily, I know fresh fish very well, and Mrs. Maria assures me that they are very fresh. I "mussel soup", my husband "trofie with Genoese pesto". What can I say, everything is VERY GOOD and VERY FRESH. Loving fish, I decide to take the "roasted prawns" my husband instead a salad. What can I say, excellent prawns, but the TOP thing was receiving them already shelled and with the signature "MARIA". Truly a beautiful thought, which makes you really love the desire to have lunch in these typical local trattorias, where simplicity, cordiality, availability, reign supreme. What can I say, we had a great dinner, excellent food, the owner very kind, GENOA a discovery, a beautiful discovery. We will return to visit you Mrs. Maria even for a simple plate of pasta, but at the same time, we await you in this wonderful land, called SICILY. ❤️

20/07/2025: We stumbled upon it without knowing the place. It was an exceptional experience, with top-quality products and a fantastic selection of raw fish. The price was absolutely in line with the quality of the products. They even gave us a discount without asking. I highly recommend it.

24/06/2025: Today we were at the Maroder restaurant, what can I say EVERYTHING FANTASTIC from the food to the service. Very elegant and sober location. Staff always attentive to the needs of customers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
