13/09/2025: Unfortunately, we went for pizza, but they haven't made it for two years, so the information here on Maps is from a while ago. They don't make pizza at Appia Antica, but they have a big heart and know how to treat their customers. Even though we sat down and got a bottle of water, and even though we got up and left when we learned there were no pizzas, the owners' kindness and helpfulness never wavered, always with a smile, courtesy, and professionalism. Oh, and they even offered us a bottle of water. We'll definitely return for the restaurant, which, even though we can't review the food, has that something extra that makes all the difference... HEART AND HUMANITY

05/09/2025: An Outstanding Dining Experience! We visited the restaurant with our family and were extremely pleased. The service was top-notch – the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, and beautifully presented. We tried several different dishes and each one was impressive. Prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. Highly recommended!

19/09/2025: We went to L'Osteria for lunch. We ordered a pizza buffalo, fried seafood, sea bass, and carpaccio. After a 40-minute wait, our food finally arrived. The pizza was bland and tasted of nothing. The seafood didn't come with any dip or anything, and it wasn't particularly good either. The sea bass was overcooked and dry, and the carpaccio was (oddly) white/greyish, tasteless, and felt like rubber. We've rarely had such a bad meal. We were truly disappointed.

16/10/2025: Nothing, I'd miss out on staying at home. The staff is truly professional, always smiling and always ready to joke and play with the customers despite the overwhelming commotion. The food is extremely good, top-notch, and I say this as someone with over 10 years of experience in the kitchen, so I personally know what I'm talking about, both in terms of the cuisine and the fabulous staff you have. 03/10/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times four years ago, even organizing company dinners, and I've always had a great time. I've returned now and found the food to be of terrible quality, and the fish was nothing special: from raw cuttlefish to flavorless mussels. A REAL DISAPPOINTMENT.

07/11/2025: Good, but a bit pricey for the portions served. I assume the fish is fresh, so it's fair enough. But we had a fish carpaccio with vegetables, which was quite poor in both quality and portion size. The tuna and hummus were better. The wines were good, and the atmosphere was very nice. However, for such a casual, quick-service place, €35 per person seems a bit too much.

10/08/2025: It's our seafood restaurant! Stefano and Romina are excellent hosts, and the staff is superb! Both in the kitchen and in the dining room! The fish is incredibly fresh and expertly prepared, with excellent raw seafood! Always exploring new techniques. What can I say...well done, well done, and highly recommended for anyone who loves quality seafood!

09/10/2025: I'm delighted to write this review because it's hard to find a place that manages to satisfy all these aspects: the pleasant antique furnishings with different tables, as well as the tablecloths and dishes; a place that seems truly designed to let you escape, at least for a few hours, the frenzy that we all fall prey to; the owner who welcomes you with a smile, immediately creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere; the undoubtedly high-quality cuisine, with service that combines family simplicity with attentiveness to the guest. 07/10/2025: Far below what I expected. The appetizers were nothing special, pretty bland overall. The amberjack meatballs were tasty, but the mustard sauce ruined everything; it tasted like bottled mustard. If they'd added a homemade sauce, it would have definitely been appreciated. The first courses were a 4/5 out of 10; my fresh seafood was from a frozen package, even though I'd been told it was fresh when I ordered. My first course was also very, very salty. The other first course was spaghetti with red shrimp; I expected them to be raw, but they were actually overcooked. This way, you lose all sense of having red shrimp; you could have used any shrimp and it would have tasted the same. The sauce was extremely heavy; it covered everything. Seafood and fish have a delicate flavor that loses its meaning if you drown them in sauces that taste like concrete mix. Excellent service, smiling and helpful staff, but the restaurant needs changing.

08/09/2025: After a stroll through beautiful Comacchio, we stopped at this fish and chip shop for dinner. The fritto misto is fantastic. They also offer a cutlet with fries for kids who don't like fish.
