Last night we went to eat at Il Portico in Caselle, and we had a wonderful time. The food was all truly excellent, from the mixed appetizers to the first courses and the second courses. We couldn't enjoy dessert because we were too full. We had the fish dinner, and everything was perfect. I'll start by saying I'm writing this in the morning because I often regret eating out late at night. However, everything was perfectly digested, and there was no over-the-top seasoning, either in the appetizers or in the fried food, which was truly excellent. Thank you, Salvatore, for making us spend a lovely evening with good food. Antonella (mother Francesco) and Marco.

First of all, the food, simply delicious, very generous portions, kind and attentive waiters, including the owner. Many had spoken highly of it, and indeed, I can't deny it... The planes overhead were very impressive, we'll definitely be back. The quality of the food is really good.

To be consistent, the food is excellent, the service is friendly but helpful and attentive, the quality is high, and the dishes are certainly prepared by someone who knows their stuff. The bill is in line with everything else, in fact it could be even higher, the owner is kind and helpful. The only small drawback is the outdoor setting... Having smokers among the outside customers waiting for takeout ruins some of the dining experience. We'll definitely be back.

We've always enjoyed your service: the fish is truly fresh and of excellent quality, and it's always a pleasure to return. Our only wish, and one we believe other customers share, is that you could also open for lunch on weekdays: it would really make it easier to come more often, as we can't always make it on Sundays. 23/05/2026: I've been in Ivrea for a month, and countless locals have told me this restaurant is one of the best in the area. After dining there, I can absolutely see why. It's a true experience of authentic Piedmontese cuisine: excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and kind, welcoming staff who immediately make you feel at ease. The place was packed with locals, which I think is always one of the best signs when you're looking for a truly good restaurant, not just one geared toward tourists. What I particularly appreciated was that the restaurant didn't try to be too formal or pretentious. Instead, it focused on the important things: quality ingredients, generous portions, good service, and an atmosphere where people can truly relax and enjoy the evening. The atmosphere is casual yet refined, lively without being chaotic, with that authentic Italian energy that's hard to find elsewhere. I started with a fish appetizer from a seafood buffet that, from what I understand, changes daily based on the availability of the catch. Everything was very good and flavorful, and it was a great way to start the dinner. I then continued with an excellent pizza: simple, tasty, well-made, and truly satisfying. Overall, it was one of my favorite dining experiences since arriving in Ivrea. Good food, authentic character, pleasant staff, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than expected. A place I absolutely recommend to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable experience in the area.
