09/05/2026: A pleasant surprise. Delicious dishes, attentive service, and honest prices. It's well worth it; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered house wine, picci (a type of small, sweet potato fritter), risotto, cinta senesi (a type of beef cut), tiramisu, and chocolate pistachio cake. Everything was excellent.

07/05/2026: Beautiful country hotel at the foot of the village of Montefollonico. Just a short distance from Pienza and Montepulciano. Spacious, carefully furnished rooms. Excellent restaurant and beautiful pool. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in the heart of Tuscany. We also had a fun cooking class on traditional Pici.

18/04/2026: It's "my" restaurant for special occasions. Even though I go there often, I still can't find a single flaw. Must try.

09/05/2026: Wonderful family operated pizzeria. Excellent food...mom is in the kitchen, Dad is helping, and the son is serving. The pizzas are delicious and plentiful. We went back again given the warm service and excellent food. Right at the entrance to old town Montipulciano. Highly recommend.

01/07/2026: My wife and I had dinner here: the restaurant is beautiful, located in a 13th-century building. The pici alla cinta senese and the local tagliata steak were excellent. We drank Vernaccia di San Gimignano.

29/06/2026: The Ristorante Peruca is quite special. We had a wonderful lunch there while visiting San Gimiginano and could not have been happier with our meal. The food is really quite exceptional. Everything we tried was fantastic. Highly recommend.

The space invites you to savor excellent dishes such as Pici dell'Osteria or yogurt with fresh fruit coulis, not forgetting a glass of prosecco accompanied by a warm amuse-bouche. The service is highly professional and respectful of the customer. Enjoying such moments among 16 diners, surrounded by local products for sale, under delicately painted vaulted ceilings, is a delight.

17/05/2026: I've never left a negative review. I'd rather not leave anything if I'm not satisfied. But not this time. The portions were huge, like 30 grams of pasta per person. When I pointed this out, the responses were truly arrogant. The bill was truly out of proportion for what we received. Go elsewhere for lunch or dinner, that's the only advice I can give.

13/05/2026: Everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was delicious and very affordable. It's quieter than other places in the area. This review might not help prevent it from becoming overcrowded, but hey, if it helps them attract more customers, then so be it.

07/06/2026: I'm surprised by the positive reviews I read. The atmosphere is certainly welcoming, and eating outside is even better. We'll leave it at that, though. The food was decidedly inadequate: we had an appetizer of fried artichokes and zucchini flowers, 90% battered, which were decidedly difficult to eat and digest. I had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and the tagliatelle were stuck together, and the only thing I could eat were the porcini mushrooms, which were not very fresh. I don't think we'll ever return; it's a shame, because it was worth it.

21/07/2026: I had lunch here and it is such a wonderful place. It is about a 10 min walk from II campo but worth it. It is very serene and tranquil away from the busyness of Siena. The service was great and the food really good and large portions. I had the Pico bolognaise, an aperol spritz and bottle of water for 20 euro. Overall i am glad I visited for lunch.

05/07/2026: Catastrophic, I have no words. We have been coming here for over 5 years, I wrote a glowing review 2 years ago and now I have to change it. Where do I even start. After receiving our starters it look almost an hour for our mains to arrive, they only arrived almost 10 minutes after I asked the waitress and she said 1 minute for their arrival. When the meat arrived…… the lamb chops: basically all fat, had as much meat and my daughter could consume as maybe the palm of her hand, the meat was quite dry and not pleasant to eat. She ordered the vegetables as a side, they were so salty, impossible to eat. My husband also had the lamb chops and had the same problem. As a side he ordered the mixed salad, which never arrived and they tried to charge us for it. I ordered the tagliata, half the meat was veins to the point I had to leave half of it. I ordered the fries which looked like they had been fried yesterday, this morning and then microwaved. My daughter wanted a dessert originally but changed her mind after this food. The service… where to start on that. The waitors look like they dont know what they are doing. Im sorry but if my table is sitting for almost an hour without any food, that should have been noticed. Our wine glasses sat empty for 25 minutes before my husband decided to it himself. When we went to pay, I told the lady our lack of enthusiasm and satisfaction with our meal and she could NOT have cared less. She brushed us off and seemed like she cared more about us paying and leaving quickly then leaving satisfied. Will not be returning. Very upsetting as like i said we came here every year for over 5 years, but this quality, food and service is disgraceful.

05/07/2026: Save your money, your time, and your appetite. Dissapointing to the maximum. I have been coming to this restaurant for years yet after this experience that will finally come to an end. I’m never returning and you should not come either. Everything was fine in the beginning but after our starters were taken away, the nightmare began. It took almost an hour for our mains to arrive and they only arrived after I had to remind the waitress that we existed. Our wine glasses sat empty for over 20 minutes before we had to refill them ourselves. Once the mains arrived….. no words. Lamb chops: full of fat, dry, enough meat to maybe satisfy a lizard, maybe a large chihuahua definitely not a weasel. The vegetables as a side so salty, felt like I was eating a block of salt. The beef tagliata, so veiny and boarder like inedible, I think only a starving fox would be satisfied with this meat. Half had to be left. The French fries looked dryer than the Sahara desert, definately not fresh. The salad never arrived and they tried to charge us for it. When I raised this while paying the bill the waitress did not care. At all. Seemed like she wanted us to get out more than caring about us as paying customers. Don’t come here. Save your money.

21/07/2026: The view and location are fantastic. We had a very pleasant time as a couple. Quiet and peaceful. The service, however, left much to be desired. The waiter gave the impression that he was far from enjoying his job. In the end, we even had to walk to the bar ourselves to order another drink. It is a real shame that this detracts so much from the beautiful location. Despite the view and the beautiful spot, we will skip this one for next time.

09/07/2026: Beautiful view, the food was okay for the price but not outstanding. The eggplant appetizer was very tasty, though. The waiters could be a bit friendlier, but all in all we really enjoyed it.
