We had dinner at this restaurant in the center of Volterra. Everything was delicious, the service was quick and friendly, and the price was very fair. I recommend the pici with Cinta Senese ragù...fantastic!

This was our first time to Volterra and we had to visit Don Beta. We came here as a large group of 30 people and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food was really warm and delicious as well as exactly to our order. We tried to do all five courses but were so filled we couldn’t handle their great desserts. But their tiramisu is not optional.

We went twice, two people and a child. We got a table without a reservation, but many of them were already waiting for their guests.
The service was excellent – fast, smiling, and happy to advise. Everyone (despite having a dedicated waiter) was simply lovely.
The food – fantastic. The pasta was excellent.
The pizzas were simple but very tasty.
The speed of service was surprising. Of course, everything was freshly made, but we received it quickly.
The price/quality ratio – fantastic.
If you're in the area, we definitely recommend it!

It was a wonderful experience. We're spending a week in Italy to learn the language. One stopover took us to Volterra. The restaurant is right across from our hotel. We'd read in other reviews that it's very popular, so we went shortly after it opened at 7 pm and were very happy to find there were still plenty of free tables, though that changed very quickly. The service was exceptionally attentive and efficient. We were asked if we preferred to speak English or Italian, and we chose Italian. Our waiter was very kind and patient, and everything went perfectly. The food arrived very quickly and was delicious. I found the prices to be very reasonable.
