Although a pretty environment, the food and service does not live up to its reputation. The bread put on the table was stale and old, the amuse of potato soup was lackluster, the starter of crispy sausage etc wrapped in phyllo was the best part of the meal as the parpadelle with wild boar was dry and farely tasteless. In fact, I am pretty sure nothing wild ever saw that plate. Dessert of milk pudding with caramel and fruit was just ok. Cannot recommend at this price point.

Bel ristorante nel centro storico di Volterra,ambiente tranquillo,sala da pranzo molta raffinata,ottima qualità del cibo anche se porzioni non particolarmente abbondanti,prezzi in linea con tutto quanto offerto,bella cena!

Very elegant restaurant, friendly and professional staff. We ate rich dishes but not at all heavy. An excellent dinner to end a weekend in Volterra.

The unmissable gastronomic experience in Tuscany. Located in medieval Volterra. Internal environment decorated with great taste. Excellent service (Nicolau). Wine list with the best producers in the region. The dishes were very well presented, with the appropriate temperature and texture. Our choices allowed us to taste the best truffle dish of my life. Congratulations to chef Caio and owner Fabio, who went beyond excellence, to make us feel like we were in the real Tuscany. For this experience, I will not evaluate the price, for obvious reasons. Public parking around the walls.

Siamo stati a cena lo scorso mese di agosto presso l’Enoteca del Duca e l’esperienza si è rivelata assolutamente positiva. Il ristorante si trova nelle immediate vicinanze della centralissima piazza dei Priori ma dall’esterno non si intuisce lontanamente quella che è la splendida location estiva, ricavata nella corte interna del palazzo. Il ristorante propone una cucina tipica ma al contempo raffinata e piatti molto curati anche nella presentazione. Il servizio è svolto con cortesia e professionalità da personale perlopiù giovane. Prezzi medio alti ma assolutamente in linea con la qualità dell’offerta. Per quanto abbiamo avuto occasione di provare, credo che questo ristorante rappresenti il top della ristorazione a Volterra.
