12/03/2025: Nowadays the refrain when having lunch or dinner out is that you eat better at home. This is not the case with La Lucciola. There is a very happy hand of the chef which can be seen in the balance of the ingredients, the ideas, the combinations that are not an end in themselves, the cutting and cooking of the vegetables, in short, a new and particularly "fresh and genuine" taste experience. Irreproachable oysters, sweet to match. Location with the sea 10 meters away. An experience absolutely worth repeating. Price a little high but you know, you pay for quality. The only flaw is the frying, which is banal (at least for those who caught cuttlefish and squid last summer and fried them on the spot...) Show less

08/03/2025: Ormai il refrain quando si pranza o cena fuori è che si mangia meglio a casa. Questo non è il caso de La Lucciola. C'è una mano felicissima del cuoco che si nota nell'equilibrio degli ingredienti, le idee, gli abbinamenti non fine a se stessi, ilo taglio e la cottura delle verdure, insomma un'esperienza di gusto nuova e particolarmente "fresca e genuina". Ostriche irreprensibili, dolci all'altezza. Location col mare a 10 metri. Esperienza assolutamente da ripetere. Prezzo un po' altino ma si sa, la qualità si paga. Unico neo, la frittura, banale (almeno per chi nell'ultima estate ha pescato seppie e calamari friggendoli al momento ...)

22/03/2025: It's not the first time we come back and we are happy to make a detour for them. In addition to an excellent welcome, it is always nice to discover dishes with seasonal products and precious ingredients protected by the slowfood presidium. The respect for these ingredients is evident in every dish, where the original flavors of tradition are enhanced, making known the excellences of the surrounding area and nationally. The tiramisu for me was a revelation: I never eat it at the restaurant because I never find that homely flavor, but I trusted Mrs. Tiziana and that is a 10. Absolutely recommended. We will return again without doubt.

21/03/2025: This tavern is located in the center of Chiusi, and overlooks a small and charming square. The restaurant has a small room on the entrance floor and another small room in the basement adjacent to a discreet cellar. The dining rooms are furnished in a sober and elegant way. The dining room staff is very kind and trained. The menu offers typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine, among which the pici with white meat ragù and the guinea fowl in a pan stand out. The cellar offers many fine labels. Among the desserts, it is worth trying the lattaiolo of the ancient Tuscan tradition. A special mention is due to the chef who takes care of all her dishes with passion. The quality-price ratio is balanced. Finally, at this tavern it is possible to buy zero-mile products, coming from the property's land, such as oil, vinegar, legumes, cereals, wine and many others.

05/04/2025: Family evening for mom's birthday. Delicious and crunchy schiacciatina to start, abundant platter with out-of-this-world pecorino cheese, excellent Tuscan cold cuts, croutons and polenta. Unparalleled real Neapolitan pizza, with salty anchovies (not from the supermarket), tasty capers and sweet tomato. Pici with ragù, well seasoned and cooked to perfection, attentive and fast service, with attention to the customer at all times of the evening. Reservation recommended.

22/03/2025: Dinner with friends. I would say excellent. Claudio and Barbara, the managers of the place are two fantastic and very professional people. The place is beautiful, you can feel the family atmosphere. I would say the food is sublime. Tordelli alla lucchese, delicious. Pappardelle with wild boar, unique... rosticciana cooked at a low temperature, sublime. Rabbit and fried artichokes. Spectacular! To finish, the poncemisu desserts. Shivers! Panna cotta with homemade pear jam. Very good. What else is there to say? Great! Thank you! Place 10, service 10, menu 10, bill 10. You are fantastic....

14/04/2025: I'm almost 15 months late leaving my positive review. We ate here on 30 December 2023. Simple, convivial place with excellent cuisine. We had a great time and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I recommend it and hope to return

12/04/2025: The serving for the grilled pork chop was big. I had 2 big pork meat. The chocolate mousse cake was good. The taste was not special, though. For me as a tourist, the place is lacking in atmosphere. It is a self-service restaurant with communal tables.

26/03/2025: Cena infrasettimanale in famiglia. Servizio efficiente e rapido (locale non molto affollato, dato il giorno infrasettimanale, ma comunque non "triste"), sala ben riscaldata. Menù consueto e tradizionale, ben eseguito, pesce in gran parte surgelato ma di qualità. La nota dissonante è il conto: 36€ a persona mangiando 1 antipasto, 1 primo piatto e 1 dolce per ciascuno, 1 birra media in tutto e 4 bottiglie d'acqua (della casa, 0,75 l) per tre persone. Le porzioni sono abbondanti, è vero, e difficilmente si farebbe un pasto completo con 3 portate + dessert: tuttavia, nel caso, si supererebbero di slancio i 50€ a testa e, se poi si aggiungesse una bottiglia di vino "senza esagerare" con la carta, si andrebbe vicini ai 60€. I tempi cambiano e i prezzi aumentano, d'accordo, ma l'aspettativa sul qualità/prezzo in relazione alla tipologia di ristorante resta nel complesso un po' delusa.

04/03/2025: Fantastico ristorante, con cucina tipica, propone anche dei piatti con sapiente rivisitazione di alcune tradizioni, personale eccellente, molto attento alla clientela, carta dei vini di elevata qualità, rum servito egregiamente, location suggestiva, tutto molto curato, prezzi competitivi, data anche la qualità dei menù. Sono più di 20anni che vengo in questo posto e in tutti questi anni ho visto tutto il loro impegno nell'offrire sempre il meglio ai loro clienti e quando mi fermo a cena/pranzo da loro, ormai mi sento a casa e queste sono cose che non hanno prezzo, specie per me che non sono di Siena...ma di Latina e per me la Taverna San Giuseppe è tappa fissa ❤️.

23/02/2025: Location d’atmosfera, esattamente il tipo di posto in cui ci si aspetta di mangiare quando si viene a Siena: calda e accogliente. Un plauso al soufflé pecorino e pere e ai pici cinghiale e porcini, eccezionali. Buoni anche il tagliere salumi e formaggi e la tagliata al tartufo. Ottimo anche il vino. Abbiamo molto apprezzato che si potesse ordinare la mezza bottiglia, ideale per chi non vuole rinunciare ad un buon vino di accompagnamento senza esagerare! Ci ritorneremo!
