Locanda del Molino In Cortona

Wonderful experience, if I could I would give it 6 stars. The structure, the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the delicious food are just some of the aspects that allowed us to live a wonderful experience during the 2023 Christmas holidays. What remains in the heart is the warm atmosphere made possible, not only by the special decorations and two always lit fireplaces, but by Andrei, an excellent organizer and wise manager.

Pleasant overnight stay, 10 minutes by car from the splendid Cortona, which deserves at least two full days of visit. The restaurant was excellent, both meat and fish (the cod was very rich) and a truly excellent variety of wines by the glass, rosé and especially Syrah above all.

Stefano & team, they were extremely nice hostesses. The hotel is super cute, clean and they make yourself at home. We would be happy to repeat experience here. Many thanks you stars!!

We stayed here for 3 nights (as part of a cycling trip) and ate here each evening. The hotel is located about 6km from Cortona and is in a very quiet village. The place is charming, lovely spacious old fashioned rooms, very comfortable and many with a bathtub. There is a beautiful swimming pool too. The food was outstanding, rustic and wholesome - nice wine. The staff were lovely, very friendly and fun. They even drove us to the station when we left. Overall a great experience.

We decided at the last moment to look for a place to stay for just one night and it was a shame we had to stay ONLY one night... what a charming and charming place! The rooms are spacious and decorated with care. The small details will delight any history lover, with antique furniture chosen with great taste! The pool was a little surprise: my children loved it! What a shame we didn't have time to enjoy it longer! And the dinner was divine, everything very tasty accompanied by our own wine (which you can then buy to take home). The only weakest point for me was breakfast, but that was a matter of personal taste: they didn't have any type of cheese, no eggs and only one type of sliced ​​bread. For those who eat a savory breakfast, it may be limited, as it only had a few snacks such as salami and ham. The variety of sweets and cakes, however, was vast and plentiful. However, the highlight of our stay was without a doubt the staff! Super friendly and very professional! They made us feel at home! At the end we said goodbye with a hug, like we do with friends! The hotel's location is on a road, which, despite being quiet at night, has some traffic during the day. Even so, I will stay here again if I return to Cortona!

Great hotel or albergho, with a good restaurant and very friendly personal. Cosy atmosphere, good beds, very quiet, and in surroundings of nature. Highly recommended! 🙏👍

Das Hotel war wirklich schön rustikal gehalten. Im Pool Bereich hatte man wirkliche idyllische Ruhe genießen können. Das Hotel Personal und der Chef sind alle wirklich sehr nette Menschen und immer freundlich gewesen. Leider funktionierte unser Fernseher nicht ganz, was aber für uns nicht weiter schlimm war. Am 2ten Tag hatte jedoch das Restaurant am Abend zu gehabt und wir mussten uns anderweitig umschauen. Das Hotel selbst ist aber leider ein bisschen weit vom Schuss weg und man müsste eigentlich alles mit dem Auto erledigen. Zum Restaurant selbst: Frühstück war sehr lecker nur gabs keine ganz große Auswahl, aber solange etwas da ist was einem schmeckt, ist es in Ordnung. Am Abend gab es wirklich sehr tolles, leckeres Essen nur leider bisschen teuer. War in großem und ganzem ein ganz angenehmer Aufenthalt

Sehr freundliches Team. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und es war alles sehr sauber. Handtücher werden täglich getauscht. Insgesamt gibt es nur 9 Zimmer in dem Hotel. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Abendessen war ausgezeichnet. Es lohnt sich fast nicht, außerhalb essen zu gehen (Vorsicht in der Altstadt von Cortona, hier lauert teilweise Abzocke, z.B. La Buccacia). Kleiner, aber feiner Pool. W-LAN war sehr gut, das Mobilfunknetz mangelhaft. Fühlen sich im Urlaub dafür aber ungestört. Die Liegen am Pool könnten bequemer sein. Wenig und keine deutsche TV-Programme, was im Urlaub aber nicht schlimm ist. Über Smartphone oder Laptop gehen auch Nachrichten oder Sportergebnisse.

Erano molti anni che non tornavo al Molino e sono rimasto piacevolmente soddisfatto. D'estate si mangia sulla terrazza sul retro con affaccio sulla natura verdeggiante ed il ruscello, quasi avvolti da canneti e piante fluviali. I piatti sono della tipica cucina toscana, senza fronzoli ma allo stesso tempo curati e di qualità. Io ho preso fiori di zucca al forno ripieni di ricotta, con una salsa verde ed una tagliata con una salsa d'acciughe e capperi d'accompagnamento (a parte). Entrambi buoni. Patata e e cipolle alla cenere di contorno. Buone anche le melanzane alla parmigiana ed i pici all'aglione. Varia scelta dei vini tra quelli dell'azienda Baracchi proprietaria del locale. Prezzi leggermente più alti di una classica trattoria, ma buoni se parametrati al target di Cortona. Simpatico il gestore senza essere invadente.

L'accoglienza fa da padrona, ci si sente benvenuti, Adrian e Stefano sono cordiali attenti e disponibili. Un vecchio mulino riattato tempo fa avrebbe bisogno di qualche ritocchino. Shabby-chic direbbero gli inglesi
