06/09/2025: This is worth visiting when on holiday in Pula. We had twice dinner in one week and the taste and quality were superb. Instead of other reviews: the price is much better than at our nearby hotel. Recommended and do try the homemade cheesecake for dessert!
06/09/2025: It was close to the hotel where we were staying, and we decided to try it. It has a lovely little terrace and a unique garden that gives it a magical feel. We ordered a sharing dish (fish carpaccio), very fresh and light, and then a pasta dish. I chose the Penne in Cream of Gamberi, and it was a hearty and flavorful dish. It was my choice to try something different.

05/09/2025: Opera Viva lets you discover the true flavors of the region. After a bad dining experience a few days earlier, we arrived with high expectations... and left completely satisfied. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was welcoming, although it was a bit too hot inside despite the ceiling fans. But the real stars were the dishes: generous, flavorful, and carefully prepared, a true delight for the palate. We recommend booking at least a day in advance to secure a table. The value for money is truly excellent.

14/08/2025: A sensational experience, to say the least. The location is beautiful, every detail is meticulously cared for, and elegance and courtesy reign supreme. The staff is nothing short of fantastic and attentive; they take care of everything, making you feel pampered in every way. The location is strategic, within walking distance of both the beach and the town center. Highly recommended!!!

03/10/2025: Pula's historic restaurant. For dinner, the two of us ordered octopus with potatoes and Catalan-style monkfish (superb) as appetizers. For the main course, we ordered chef's spaghetti with bottarga, grilled fish and roasted potatoes, a bottle of premium wine, crema catalana (a digestive liqueur), and coffee. The service was impeccable (the waitresses were quick and friendly). Importantly, I recommend those with garlic or onion intolerances to specify this when ordering, as the octopus marinade contains garlic and the roasted potatoes contain onion. For those who aren't, everything is easily digestible—in fact, delicious! The price we paid is justified for the location and the average prices for restaurants in Pula. I know the restaurant's signature dish is the lobster (according to locals). I would therefore gladly return!
03/10/2025: The atmosphere is a bit retro, the food is good, and the fish is fresh. I really appreciated the selection of cold appetizers with unusual flavors. The hot selection was average, but for my taste, it was too salty. The fried calamari and shrimp were excellent. Good wine selection.

I've always had a great experience, the staff is always extremely kind and helpful, the food is delicious, lunch and dinner times are respected to perfection, and the spaces are well-maintained and elegant. I highly recommend it.

12/09/2025: Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating in an internal courtyard Decent food (unfortunately, the bread was stale), although the portions weren't particularly generous. Unfortunately, during dinner, an inconvenience arose: it started raining, and the two waiters, despite our requests to move us inside, remained inactive, almost annoyed by our legitimate request. We had to do it ourselves, moving the plates, especially the hot grilled meat, and were directed by the two to a tiny table unsuitable for four people. Only the subsequent intervention of the head waiter restored order, moving us to a suitable table and providing us with cutlery and napkins. In the meantime, the meat had inevitably cooled, making it practically inedible. We only finished because we were hungry. It's a shame. I understand it's the end of the season and the last Monday of evening opening (as reiterated on social media), but while we're open, we have to do everything possible for our customers and their legitimate requests.

29/09/2025: To get a sense of this dull canteen for the naive and well-intentioned, I suggest reading only the one- and two-star reviews and the related—embarrassing—comments from the owner! The owner claims to be convinced there's someone out to get him, and has been writing reviews against his establishment for years on various accounts. 😂 In our experience, we found ourselves paying (a lot) for more or less edible material disguised as sauces and spices, and almost everything was served strictly on very dark plates (who knows why...🤣). We ordered the most expensive menus but left everything (and still paid!!! 😤). For your safety, ask around before coming in here!

12/10/2025: We had actually considered eating here after our visit to the beach. However, I had the nerve to ask a waiter at the restaurant if there was a public restroom near the beach. The answer I received was that it was a restaurant, not a restroom. It was very disgusting to be treated like that. Thank you for nothing, so we found another restaurant.
10/10/2025: This evening I had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant worth discovering. As soon as I stepped inside, I was struck by the modernity of the establishment, simple yet enriched with original and meticulously crafted details. The atmosphere is enchanting, thanks to the soft lighting and elegant, refined clientele. I had the opportunity to savor a take on anglerfish and a Catalan version, both of which surprised me with their freshness and creativity. The tagliolini with sea urchins and bottarga are a reinterpretation of the classic, but with well-defined and harmoniously intertwined flavors that captivate the palate. The pasta, strictly homemade, made the culinary experience even more authentic. And what about the cake? A simple fruit tart that, despite its apparent simplicity, proved to be extraordinarily balanced and of excellent quality. A heartfelt applause goes to all the staff and owners, who run the restaurant with evident passion and dedication. It's a place where every detail is designed to offer a memorable experience. I highly recommend trying it!
