We visited this restaurant last night and had an overall positive experience.
We especially enjoyed the appetizers: the fricozze and the maregliata, both truly delicious and well-executed.
The first course, a pistachio seafood hug, and the second course, crispy tuna, seemed a bit over-seasoned and fairly average.
The atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were attentive, kind, and helpful. A place with good potential, especially for starting dinner with some interesting appetizers.

I really wanted to eat paeja algherese, so I searched online and found this restaurant, which I found was always open.
Despite its casual exterior, the food was very well-prepared, and every dish was delicious.
In particular, the signature paeja and the artigianale seada, sourced from pastificio, had an excellent balance of flavors and were superb.
Also, the service staff were very pleasant and attentive.
I would definitely like to revisit this restaurant when I come back to Sardinia someday.

The paella is otherworldly. Hands down the best I’ve ever had. The portion for two is so generous it could easily stretch to three.

The staff alone make it worthy to visit this restaurant. They know service. Helpful friendly, kind and know how to look after those customers.
Make sure you make a booking - it’s popular and only opens for a couple of hours each day. So to ensure you are not disappointed and turned away book ahead.
Locals told us that Alamo restaurant in Alghero is the best place to try the local “Paeja”. Their website says 22 ingredients - so our expectations were high.
Unfortunately, there really wasn’t the depth of flavour to match the excitation. The texture of the Paeja and the squid ink risotto was the same - both were a little salty and seafood over cooked.
But saying all this, it was an amazing experience sitting outside in Alberto enjoying the amazing ambience. For that alone we recommend the place - maybe just not for the Paeja - sad to say.

I made a reservation (probably late, mea culpa) that morning for the same evening.
We arrived right on time, and the place was almost empty. They put us at a table (there were three of us, and there weren't many tables for three, so it was understandable) that was, let's say, right in the middle of the traffic boxes. Other customers arrived after us. Minutes passed, and the waitress had literally taken the orders of everyone who arrived after us before taking ours. I called the other waitress and told her we were ready to order, and she told us we had to wait for the other waitress. The other waitress continued to serve everyone else first, and only came to us last. I should point out that this was a huge disrespect, and if it hadn't been for the fact that we were celebrating a bachelorette party, I would have left.
Once she got to our table, the waitress took our order and explained that theirs wasn't a paella, but a "paeja," which is a revisited version of paella because it doesn't have a crust underneath. Honestly, if I'd known this beforehand, I would have chosen another place, but that was probably my mistake for not asking. Another flaw (if we really want to be honest) was that many customers were given a small gift (a very nice sweet) upon payment, which we didn't.
That said, the waiters were super helpful, the food was still good, almost all of it lactose-free, so excellent. They also offer a very nice mini welcome drink, and for someone from Alghero, it's reasonably priced. The desserts were delicious.
I'd probably go back, hoping for a better initial treatment.

I tried their famous paeja on the tasting menu: amazing appetizers, excellent and plentiful paella, and desserts that could be improved! Gluten-free options available.

We ordered the full menu, which included an aperitif, a bottle of wine for two, four appetizers, paella, dessert, a digestif, and coffee, for €60 per person.
The paella was so plentiful that we had another meal the next day. (I wouldn't need such a large portion.) We were able to linger for a long time; everything was excellent, especially the appetizers, which were quite creative, and the owners were friendly.
