In the charming historic center of Alghero, we found a welcoming restaurant with a genuine atmosphere and a wealth of character. The cuisine celebrates local tradition with dishes prepared with top-quality ingredients and meticulously executed. The Alghero paella won us over: tasty, well-balanced, and perfectly prepared. Also worth trying is the crème brulee, velvety and with a truly impeccable caramelized sugar crust. In the old town center. Food and service fine. Paella which is meant to be their top plate was good, but expensive (60 euro for 2) for what we got.

Well done! We went for lunch on Saturday and ate inside. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with great courtesy by the very kind, attentive, and highly professional staff. We chose a mix of appetizers and the spaghetti all'algherese: both were truly excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and rich in flavor. The wine list was also excellent, extensive and well-stocked. All at more than fair prices. A truly pleasant experience: we'll definitely be back!

If you're passing through Alghero, you should definitely stop here. Everything is delicious, with fair prices and a lovely atmosphere. But the best part is the friendly, professional, and attentive staff, without ever being intrusive. They'll serve you with a warm smile and exceptional courtesy.

10/07/2026: I don't usually write reviews, but after dinner at Opera Viva, I have to: the fregola we had was excellent; the grilled vegetables were great too, and the tiramisu was absolutely wonderful. It had been a long time since a meal had made me so happy. This place, seemingly unassuming and without any frills, but with top-notch cuisine, will stay with me forever.
08/07/2026: This place is a true Sardininian gem. Beautiful fresh fish, great local fresh pasta, and attentive service. One of the best restaurants I've been to in all of Italy in months of travelling.
