18/05/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We visited Purgatorio back in 2024 and chose this restaurant then and there. Small but perfectly formed! We weren't disappointed! In addition to the regular menu, you can also choose from three set menus with different courses and order either fish or meat. We opted for the fish menu – and it was outstanding!! That's why we were so keen to return. And this time, we weren't disappointed either! The menu was superbly composed: three beautifully presented appetizers, an excellent main course with fresh fish, and a wonderful tiramisu to finish. Everything was perfectly balanced in flavor and prepared with great care. We would especially like to highlight the quality of the ingredients, the pleasant atmosphere, and the friendly service. You can tell that the food is cooked with passion. For us, it's definitely one of those restaurants you'll want to return to when you're in Sardinia. A definite recommendation for all fish lovers!

The talented chef Salvina manages to bring not only excellent flavors to the table, but the entire soul of Sardinia, passionately showcasing the aromas, colors, and traditions of our land. Each dish tells a story of quality, care, and authenticity. In this place, you can also sense something special and difficult to explain: the presence of Fabrizio De André. It is felt in the air, in the silence, in the landscapes, and in the very soul of this corner of Sardinia that he chose to live, love, and find inspiration for some of his most beautiful songs. It is a discreet yet vibrant presence, which makes the experience even more intense and meaningful. But the value of this place also comes from the entire staff, whose professionalism, helpfulness, and genuine smiles contribute to creating a special atmosphere, where you feel welcomed and at ease from the very first moment. It's not just a restaurant or a place to stay: it's an experience made of authentic relationships, Sardinian flavors, attention to people, and love for what they do. 28/03/2026: The I Frati Rossi restaurant was a delightful discovery. For an evening with friends, we chose an excellent seafood tasting menu. The menu started very promisingly with two appetizers: amberjack and salmon carpaccio, artichokes, and bottarga. Next up were seafood and truffle ravioli and grouper paccheri, all delicious. For the main course, a mixed fried platter of shrimp, calamari, fish, and mixed vegetables. Delicious, especially because it was so light! To finish, dessert: meringue and strawberry ice cream. We will definitely be back to try the à la carte menu.

03/06/2026: Returning home from a family vacation in the Aosta Valley, I took my time driving along the main road, passing through mountain villages before taking the return road. Once I reached MONFERRATO, I detoured a few kilometers and arrived in TERRUGGIA. A small village south of Monferrato, where I found MELOGRANO, a PET-FRIENDLY restaurant 🐶💚, serving classic local dishes as well as delicious vegetarian and vegan options... 😋 A warm, family-friendly atmosphere, with fast and punctual service. The entire staff is polite, kind, and very empathetic... which is rare these days... 😉 They'll even delight you with tastings, before and during your meal... 😊 So if you're passing through MONFERRATO... Il Melograno, in my opinion, is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED stop... for those like me who have a 🐶 that isn't just ACCEPTED... but is WELCOME here... ☺️ To conclude, the PRICES are VERY FAIR for dishes made with excellent ingredients and attention to every detail... 👌🏻 So, BON APPETIT to everyone, and to me... until next time... 😌

Plus, we're artichoke country and I have to find artichokes from a jar or frozen... sour aftertaste... but what does it take to cut a fresh artichoke? A degree? If it had been cheap? NO! Expensive pizza... undeserved price... Neapolitan? WHEN EVER... absolutely not! Too bad... this is already the second time I've let myself be ripped off...

20/05/2026: My wife had gluten free Culurgiones, stuffed with cheese in a tomato sauce. Also came with gluten free sardinia bread. I can confirm she was very happy. I had a traditional lasagne, also very nice. Menu also had gluten free pizzas, and vegan alternatives. Very attentive staff, enjoyed our visit.

A good Vermentino, and the dinner exceeded expectations. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from beginning to end. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was very good, and the quality of the food was perfect. The only slight drawback was the very quiet atmosphere, with no music, which made the place quite peaceful. Despite this, we highly recommend this restaurant for the exceptional quality of the food and the overall dining experience.
