09/04/2026: Dinner with friends, the food wasn't great. Poor dishes, high prices. I don't think I'll go back again. My personal experience. Dessert with sour ricotta, which they wanted to charge on the bill, but when we complained, they had to separate it.

02/05/2026: I can honestly say that Borgo Egnazia is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. It is not just about the stunning infrastructure, the real magic lies in the people and the service. Everyone is warm, kind, professional, friendly, and always willing to help. It truly feels like being welcomed into a local family. A special thank you to Loredana, Gianvito, Rosita, Giacomo, and Devid, who treated my wife and me like family and made our stay unforgettable. You all did an amazing job, cheers to the entire Borgo Egnazia team. Everything is simply top notch. The food, the gelato shop, the golf course, and every corner of the property are 10 out of 10. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to relax, have fun, and enjoy a once in a lifetime experience. Grazie mille!

19/04/2026: Perfect Sunday lunch. Mrs. Marcy's welcome was superb, making us feel right at home. The dishes were tasty and gluten-free. The cleanliness deserves a special mention. A peek into Mr. Sergione's kitchen: impeccable, as was the service. Fast service and delicious desserts, with truly superb artisanal vanilla ice cream. Authentic management, just like the ones of the past!

17/03/2026: Beautiful rooms. We explored the other rooms too. They are all very pretty and tastefully decorated. We had dinner too. I’m very impressed with the wine pairing selection. The pork was done very well. We tried their olive oils too and bought one.
08/02/2026: I visited an olive oil factory to tour it. I received a lecture on olive oil from a female staff member. The lecture really showed the passion that goes into making good olive oil and the desire to help people understand the deliciousness of olive oil. I found my favorite during the tasting during the lecture and bought some. It's truly delicious olive oil. I'd like to come back to buy some more. When I do, I'd definitely like to stay overnight and enjoy the food as well as my stay.

03/05/2026: It was our first time here at Il Cortiletto and we were truly thrilled! We recommend it, especially if, like us, you want to take advantage of its strategic location in the historic center, just steps from the Archaeological Museum (also recommended!). The staff is welcoming, and the dishes blend local products with innovative flavors. The dishes are always balanced yet tasty, and every choice reveals thoughtful consideration. The dining room seats no more than 50 people, but this makes the experience even more special and intimate. We'll definitely be back!
28/04/2026: A charming place and delicious cuisine. The chef is amazing. The owners' hospitality and courtesy are impeccable. I always love returning for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.

Ristorante La Fattoria

05/04/2026: The "La Fattoria" restaurant is almost an institution in Taranto, on par with other famous and renowned establishments whose names I won't mention. But this time (I hadn't dined here in many years), the experience was rather negative. It's an old-fashioned restaurant, nothing changed from many years ago. A table for seven, Sunday lunch to celebrate an event. An endless wait. From 1:30 to 2:45 PM for the appetizers to be served. I must say, they were good quality. Three seafood courses and three meat courses. The fish cart was presented with an invitation to choose the finest cuts; we chose the lobster. The lobster paccheri (two dishes) arrived hard, not al dente, and salty (but that's a personal preference). The lobster, however, wasn't the one shown to us (I'm absolutely convinced, without a shadow of a doubt; it was frozen, had very little flavor, and was rubbery). The scialatielli with clams (2 dishes) were also very flavorless, and the clams weren't highlighted (lots of empty shells on the plate). The birthday boy's seafood risotto (I was extremely disappointed) never arrived (after numerous requests, each with the following responses: 1) it's cooking; 2) we're fixing it; 3) I'll let you know right away; 3) there's a problem, I can bring you something else). The guest at the table, now disappointed and angry, opted for a quick (so he said) plate of prawns (we were already choosing desserts). The last course was a simple pasta with tomato sauce for the boy who doesn't eat fish (I tried it and it was MasterChef-level, who was excluded from the selections). Obviously, we're not the type to argue. We knew many important and well-known customers from Taranto at the restaurant who aren't interested in acting. We expressed our disappointment, but despite the poor service, we paid a lot and without even a hint of a discount for the awful meal. Kudos to the pastry shop that supplies the desserts and to the Rosato Tramari winery, which always confirms the quality. I obviously won't be returning to this place, which unfortunately has no customer service whatsoever.

21/12/2025: Amidst the alleys of Locorotondo's historic center, decked out for Christmas, lies the "Ai Tre Santi" restaurant. Appetizers, first courses, and second courses... absolutely delicious. The photos demonstrate the meticulous presentation of the dishes and the excellent ingredients. The result is simply superb!

The place is cute, clean, and tasteful. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and welcoming. The fish is extraordinary, fresh, and beautifully presented. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

18/01/2026: If you want to experience Cisternino's true gastronomic experience, a stop at Zio Pietro is a must. Here, you don't consult a paper menu; you "read" it with your eyes, right at the butcher's counter. ​The Experience: The ritual is fascinating: as soon as you enter, you line up in front of the meat counter. The selection is vast and of the highest quality. It's impossible not to order the famous bombette (cheese-filled capocollo rolls, available in several variations), the livers (gnumeredd), and the knife-point sausage. Once you've chosen your meat, it's weighed and sent directly to the "fornello" (the traditional Apulian vertical oven) for slow, even cooking. ​The Food: The meat is simply exceptional: tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, with that subtle hint of embers that only a traditional stove can provide. The traditional side dishes are also excellent; I loved the pickled vegetables. ​The Atmosphere: The atmosphere is rustic, welcoming, and authentic. You can feel the atmosphere of old-fashioned shops. The staff is quick and friendly, despite the constant crowds (a clear sign that this place deserves it).
17/01/2026: If you wish to experience freshly prepared, and perfectly grilled meat of Puglia, arm your self with the patient. First you will need to q to select the meat from the butchers fresh counter, afterwards it's the table waiting, and at the end food preparation time. However, it is absolutely worth, because that was the most tender and juicest grilled meat I have tasted.
