05/04/2026: The "La Fattoria" restaurant is almost an institution in Taranto, on par with other famous and renowned establishments whose names I won't mention. But this time (I hadn't dined here in many years), the experience was rather negative. It's an old-fashioned restaurant, nothing changed from many years ago. A table for seven, Sunday lunch to celebrate an event. An endless wait. From 1:30 to 2:45 PM for the appetizers to be served. I must say, they were good quality. Three seafood courses and three meat courses. The fish cart was presented with an invitation to choose the finest cuts; we chose the lobster. The lobster paccheri (two dishes) arrived hard, not al dente, and salty (but that's a personal preference). The lobster, however, wasn't the one shown to us (I'm absolutely convinced, without a shadow of a doubt; it was frozen, had very little flavor, and was rubbery). The scialatielli with clams (2 dishes) were also very flavorless, and the clams weren't highlighted (lots of empty shells on the plate). The birthday boy's seafood risotto (I was extremely disappointed) never arrived (after numerous requests, each with the following responses: 1) it's cooking; 2) we're fixing it; 3) I'll let you know right away; 3) there's a problem, I can bring you something else). The guest at the table, now disappointed and angry, opted for a quick (so he said) plate of prawns (we were already choosing desserts). The last course was a simple pasta with tomato sauce for the boy who doesn't eat fish (I tried it and it was MasterChef-level, who was excluded from the selections). Obviously, we're not the type to argue. We knew many important and well-known customers from Taranto at the restaurant who aren't interested in acting. We expressed our disappointment, but despite the poor service, we paid a lot and without even a hint of a discount for the awful meal. Kudos to the pastry shop that supplies the desserts and to the Rosato Tramari winery, which always confirms the quality. I obviously won't be returning to this place, which unfortunately has no customer service whatsoever.

09/04/2026: Dinner with friends, the food wasn't great. Poor dishes, high prices. I don't think I'll go back again. My personal experience. Dessert with sour ricotta, which they wanted to charge on the bill, but when we complained, they had to separate it.

05/11/2025: We were in Gallipoli on a tour of Sardinia and had dinner at this typical restaurant. Everything was delicious, and we had excellent service. I recommend everyone visit Gallipoli and stop at this truly interesting restaurant.

19/04/2026: A very friendly welcome. A seafood restaurant with meticulously prepared and unconventional cuisine. The house antipasto was generous (consider splitting each portion in two!), with three cold and three hot options. We enjoyed two spectacular first courses: paccheri with cherry tomatoes, artichokes, and cuttlefish, a delicate and beautifully cooked dish; spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and bluefish, probably "risottato" (risotto) because of the creaminess of the sauce, with just the right balance between the spiciness and the subtlety of the bluefish. The desserts, all strictly homemade, were also excellent: chocolate and almond caprese and cream millefeuille. We were also given a splendid mandarinetto (a small mandarin cake).

08/04/2026: Nice, quiet place. A good value for money. I'm returning after 6 years with long-time friends, and once again I must confirm that this is a quiet little place, with quality and foresight, demonstrated by a more varied menu that had the desired effect on my fellow diners. Compliments to the staff and especially to the dining room; Mrs. Katia becomes a muse for the various dishes to be churned out in the galley. As I always say, in some cases, enjoy the food as if it were a sunset, and if you like it, tell your friends about it. PS: I RECOMMEND SPAGHETTI 🍝 WITH GARLIC, OIL, AND FILLED SEA BREAM WITH A SPRINKLING OF FLAVORED BREADGRATS, an absolute delight. I bid you farewell and let you know that we'll see each other again soon; it's not a threat, but a demand of taste. Best wishes.

09/03/2026: Unfamiliar with the city, we asked around for a place to eat good raw fish. The exterior doesn't exactly look inviting, but once we stepped inside, we were pleasantly surprised. The place is cute, clean, and tasteful. The staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and welcoming. The fish is extraordinary, fresh, and beautifully presented. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

15/01/2026: We got married at Tenuta Lucagiovanni in the summer of 2022, and everything was so perfect that my first thought was, "I can't wait to go back." One of my bridesmaids, who lives in Switzerland, was so impressed that she's getting married there this year, too. And we were finally able to return on December 28, 2025, to celebrate our daughter's baptism. The level of professionalism and attention to detail is hard to find. So many options to choose from, both in terms of menus and decorations. Unparalleled. Super attentive.

10/10/2025: The best ravioli with tomato sauce in Italy! Meals made with garden produce. The lemon sorbet with locally produced amaro is irresistible! A stop at this restaurant is a must on this mountain road if you're passing through Gargano.

13/10/2025: If you're a fan of sophisticated table settings, this isn't your place: paper placemats, glasses reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns. However, if you want to eat well and in quantity, go to this place. The seafood dishes are truly tasty. The staff is a bit rustic, but they quickly loosen up and become friendly. Fair prices. It's a place you'll want to return to. I recommend making a reservation; it's a restaurant loved by many.
