19/02/2026: A very warm welcome. We ordered wine, appetizers, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, the pizzas were made right in front of us. The waitress speaks good English, and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended.

10/02/2026: Everything was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was a dream, and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the tiramisu — it’s the best I’ve ever eaten. The only small thing I would change is the lighting; a bit dimmer would make the atmosphere feel more romantic.

16/03/2026: The "Ritrovo degli ostinati" is objectively a charming and well-kept place. Sincere praise goes to the wait staff: extremely friendly, smiling, and welcoming. Unfortunately, kindness is priceless, and the dining experience was a complete disaster, made worse by an absolutely unjustifiable final bill. We started with two five-course appetizers for the modest sum of €15 each. Except for the eggplant roulade and the pulled pork puff pastry, which were considered "acceptable," the rest was beyond comment. We were served a very hard, bitter-tasting cheese ball that was literally impossible to swallow; a microscopic sample of fava beans and chicory; and a beetroot soufflé completely ruined by the stracciatella cheese placed on top, which leaked water and watered down the entire dish. The situation with the first courses was even worse. The "Pacchero degli Ostinati" (€12) was presented as nine half-paccheri, counted and completely unrelated to the sauce: a swill of stracciatella water, chopped pistachios, and chunks of mortadella (that tasted like a discount store) thrown on top haphazardly. Not to mention the "Special Plate" (€14): braised meat ravioli floating in another swill, the nature of which was unclear, dusted with an unknown green powder. The final blow came at the cash register: €70 total for two appetizers, two first courses, two waters, and one glass of rosé. A completely disproportionate amount given the meager portions, the low-quality ingredients, and the total lack of technique in the dishes. I'm giving it two stars solely to acknowledge the excellent work of the staff in the dining room and the ambiance. The kitchen needs a complete overhaul. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We acknowledge your response, even though we find the tone a bit excessive. We want to clarify that not stirring up a controversy at the table was a gesture of discretion, not of deceit: we preferred not to ruin the atmosphere of the restaurant, reserving the right time to reflect on the situation with a cool head. Regarding the mortadella, our opinion referred exclusively to the perceived flavor on the palate, which we found disappointing, not up to expectations, regardless of the brand used. Paying €35 per person for the combination of dishes described remains, in our experience, an unsatisfactory quality-price ratio. It's unfortunate that honest feedback was perceived as a personal attack rather than the opinion of customers who, despite their young age, have the right to evaluate what they eat. Kind regards.

15/03/2026: The location is beautiful and the service is friendly, but we were very disappointed with the food. For the prices, we expected the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the dishes to be of a much higher standard. Unfortunately, we ate poorly and infrequently (seven ravioli on a plate in one first course, while in the other "Pacchero dell'ostinato" nine paccheri that were supposed to be with stracciatella, mortadella, and pistachio but were watery and soupy). The bill was disproportionate to the amount served. A real shame, given that the atmosphere and hospitality are lovely.

10/02/2026: Excellent place, excellent food, excellent pizza. I recommend it to anyone who likes to eat well and spends a reasonable amount.

06/11/2025: We came here because it was recommended in the Lonely Planet guide, but when we arrived it was closed – even though Google clearly shows it as open. Please update your opening hours so we don't make a wasted trip, thank you 🙏 Update: The opening hours aren't updated in real time, it's true, but they are updated quickly if you request it, probably within 24 hours. It would be even faster to do this than to reply to comments :)

05/03/2026: We hadn't made a reservation for dinner at Botteghe Antiche, so a spot on the square wasn't an option. Inside, there was still room, and we had a view of the kitchen, which is always a nice sight. The dishes were delicious. We found the atmosphere a bit lacking; the service was friendly, but a bit distant.

05/03/2026: I went for dinner during the week with friends and it was a wonderful surprise. The service was truly attentive, present but never intrusive. There's a truly peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy the evening without rushing. At the end of the dinner, we chatted with Stefano, who also took us to see the wine cellar: a place worth a visit, with an impressive selection of wines. It was more than just a dinner, it was a complete experience. We'll be back soon.

28/02/2026: I'm still sitting here at the table, completely satisfied with my lunch at La Pignata. Friendly service, excellent cuisine, and good music. A relaxed atmosphere and attentive, smiling service, even accommodating requests for variations, like my amazing spaghetti with mussels in white sauce, with just 3 or 4 cherry tomatoes... exceptional! 😍 Thanks to all the staff, I'll take home so much pleasure!

06/01/2026: We went with a group of 26 friends to lunch at this delightful little restaurant in the heart of Otranto on January 3, 2026. We were welcomed by Mrs. Doriana with warmth and kindness. The food and price were excellent. I highly recommend it.

17/03/2026: Very elegant restaurant but we were disappointed by the food. Gracious service. I had pasta with lobster which was quite nice. The sauce ofolive oil and cherry tomato was light and bright. The tail had been loosened from the shell but it was difficult to get at any other meaty bits as no special implements were provided nor finger bowls. I expect diners here are too elegant to wrestle with their shellfish. My companion had grilled swordfish which was dry. The steaks were very thin, less than a centimetre thick. That’s likely a management decision which makes the work of the kitchen staff near impossible. We ordered two contorni. Grilled mixed vegetables were tough and dry for the most part. Partly the consequence of slicing courgettes and aubergines too thinly. Partly the decision to over-grill resulting in a good looking dish at the expense of tenderness. There was a bottle of olive provided that helped. No seasoning. The other dish of aubergine salad was tasty and well seasoned from capers but served stone cold straight from the fridge. It could have been improved by serving slightly chilled or at room temperature.

10/03/2026: Sunday family lunch: The food was pretty good, the prices were average, but the real problem with this place was the service. We sat down at 1:30 PM and ordered appetizers, which were finished by 3:00 PM. The main courses also arrived staggered, preventing us from eating together. Overall, we weren't impressed, so I don't think I'll return.

28/02/2026: Nestled in the countryside of Palo del Colle, this is a well-appointed and welcoming masseria. Clean, tidy, beautiful, and tastefully furnished. The dining room is very welcoming and modern, with a garden view and new furnishings. The refined restaurant, attentive to the chef's latest creations, offers fresh, tasty, unique, and diverse dishes. It's worth visiting in the summer, however, for a more colorful visual impact and to stroll through the wonderful garden. Kudos also to the friendly and attentive staff. Recommended.

Nothing was left to chance: from the excellent food to the impeccable service, to the original and fun ideas that made the evening unique, tailored to me and full of emotion. Innovation combined with great professionalism are Villa Ciccorosella's strengths, but what truly makes the difference is the spirit, and I felt welcomed and celebrated.
