The flavors are different every time, although the Margherita remains my favorite.
Luigi, the pizza chef, is truly EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!!!

02/01/2026: We visited the trattoria few days ago and we love the food. I am really glad that we could enter several minutes early, because it was really cold outside. We tried pasta, pizza, amazing Caprese with the most delicious mozzarella; Bombette - also good but too small portion for first course. The only thing that I don't like was the fact, that the waiter brings a plate with olives and bread on two other tables with Italian customers, but not to us.... Please, improve that!

19/02/2026: A very warm welcome. We ordered wine, appetizers, and pizzas. Everything was delicious, the pizzas were made right in front of us. The waitress speaks good English, and everyone was very friendly. Highly recommended.
10/02/2026: Everything was absolutely delicious. The appetizer was a dream, and the pizza was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend trying the tiramisu — it’s the best I’ve ever eaten. The only small thing I would change is the lighting; a bit dimmer would make the atmosphere feel more romantic.

05/03/2026: I went for dinner during the week with friends and it was a wonderful surprise.
The service was truly attentive, present but never intrusive. There's a truly peaceful atmosphere, allowing you to enjoy the evening without rushing.
At the end of the dinner, we chatted with Stefano, who also took us to see the wine cellar: a place worth a visit, with an impressive selection of wines.
It was more than just a dinner, it was a complete experience.
We'll be back soon.
05/03/2026: We hadn't made a reservation for dinner at Botteghe Antiche, so a spot on the square wasn't an option. Inside, there was still room, and we had a view of the kitchen, which is always a nice sight. The dishes were delicious. We found the atmosphere a bit lacking; the service was friendly, but a bit distant.

Thanks to Mario and all his staff for the warm welcome, the always polite and friendly service, and of course for the fabulous kaleidoscope of flavors in his kitchen.
02/01/2026: It's not the first time, not surprisingly, dishes that amaze the palate, smell, and taste buds.
Everything is impeccable. I have a small complaint: the place isn't well heated. I recommend a stove with a fire; it would add a touch of warmth and make the space more welcoming.
In the bathroom, turning on the existing radiator would be enough.

06/01/2026: We went with a group of 26 friends to lunch at this delightful little restaurant in the heart of Otranto on January 3, 2026. We were welcomed by Mrs. Doriana with warmth and kindness. The food and price were excellent. I highly recommend it.
03/01/2026: We wandered in by chance on a (very cold) December 31st, and without a reservation, they welcomed us and served us an excellent seafood dinner for New Year's Eve! Excellent value for money, attentive and unobtrusive service (despite the restaurant obviously being full).

It would be even faster to do this than to reply to comments :)

04/10/2025: Incredibly friendly and service-oriented staff, very keen to ensure we had a good experience. The food was very good, but on the more expensive side and (compared to other restaurants in the area) small portions. However, the taste was incredible, and outweighed the quantity of food.

04/02/2026: We ate quite well, considering it was out of season. The orecchiette with the sauce were very good, and the octopus was also delicious.
06/01/2026: A very nice restaurant with a great location. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior (who also works as a waiter) is unbecoming of a restaurant of this type. His curt responses, somewhat rude demeanor, and brusque gestures when carrying dishes to the table seem to me to be a lack of etiquette and good manners. The wine was good (a Verdeca, priced at €20), and after the bottle I ordered a glass of the same wine, but he served me a less-than-average version for €6! (despite confirming it's the same wine). The mixed grill of octopus, cuttlefish, and prawns was a bit rubbery, and the pear and ricotta tart was excellent.

Excellent! I'm back to this welcoming restaurant in the historic center of Lecce, under Porta San Biagio. The food is high-quality and well-prepared.
The table service is also excellent, courtesy and empathy from Alessio and Francesco.
Andrea's warm welcome was professional, courteous, and kind.
The quality/price ratio is truly excellent. A must-try if you're in Lecce.
Compliments, highly recommended.
18/01/2026: Disappointing!
I hadn't been to this restaurant in a while.
Unfortunately, the menu and the dishes were disappointing. The Blunotte linguine with stracciatella and shrimp tartare had a predominantly buttery flavor, and the fried ingredients were not crispy and had a strong oily taste. We asked for a change of pasta (fresh tagliolini) but were denied as it was unavailable.
The desserts weren't satisfying either...
The location appears dim and cramped.
Our table was wedged into a recess with the chairs literally attached to those of the next table, making it cramped and suffocating.

27/09/2025: It's hard to imagine a more beautiful place for a wonderful dinner. The food itself – mainly fish and seafood – is truly excellent, and the price-performance ratio is excellent. The freshly baked, delicious bread is also a real highlight. Add to that the fantastic atmosphere and the attentive service, and you'll have a truly unforgettable experience. But the tables with your feet in the sand are the icing on the cake. We'd love to come back! Grazie mille!
25/09/2025: Dinner for two on the veranda overlooking the beach. We chose the tasting menu and were very pleased with the fresh ingredients and excellent preparation.

The dishes have shrunk over time, but they're still of excellent quality.
03/01/2026: Everything was wonderful, from the food to the staff to the acoustics, which weren't at all loud despite the room being full and the (good) music playing. They were very attentive to my food intolerances and very friendly. I had dinner here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and we'll definitely be back!
