12/01/2026: One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten, and among pizzerias by the slice, it's the best!!! The flavors are different every time, although the Margherita remains my favorite. Luigi, the pizza chef, is truly EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!!!

High-quality ingredients, balanced and beautifully presented dishes, and a mouth-watering house dessert. We'll definitely be back. Being allowed to bring our dog was much appreciated.

Please update your opening hours so we don't make a wasted trip, thank you 🙏 Update: The opening hours aren't updated in real time, it's true, but they are updated quickly if you request it, probably within 24 hours. It would be even faster to do this than to reply to comments :)

06/01/2026: A very nice restaurant with a great location. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior (who also works as a waiter) is unbecoming of a restaurant of this type. His curt responses, somewhat rude demeanor, and brusque gestures when carrying dishes to the table seem to me to be a lack of etiquette and good manners. The wine was good (a Verdeca, priced at €20), and after the bottle I ordered a glass of the same wine, but he served me a less-than-average version for €6! (despite confirming it's the same wine). The mixed grill of octopus, cuttlefish, and prawns was a bit rubbery, and the pear and ricotta tart was excellent.

06/01/2026: We expected more from this restaurant based on the recommendations we received... Good food, but nothing special. Poor value for money, the restaurant opens late, and in our case, we even had to wait because it opened a little later than normal. Octopus salad, two first courses, water, and house wine, €60!

06/01/2026: We went with a group of 26 friends to lunch at this delightful little restaurant in the heart of Otranto on January 3, 2026. We were welcomed by Mrs. Doriana with warmth and kindness. The food and price were excellent. I highly recommend it.

03/01/2026: We wandered in by chance on a (very cold) December 31st, and without a reservation, they welcomed us and served us an excellent seafood dinner for New Year's Eve! Excellent value for money, attentive and unobtrusive service (despite the restaurant obviously being full).

10/10/2025: The best ravioli with tomato sauce in Italy! Meals made with garden produce. The lemon sorbet with locally produced amaro is irresistible! A stop at this restaurant is a must on this mountain road if you're passing through Gargano.

The desserts, made directly by the inn, were exquisite and a fitting end to an excellent dinner. The staff was extremely kind and professional, from the telephone reservation to the welcome at the table. The waiters listed the dishes with passion and expertise, making the choice even more enjoyable. The location is unique and charming, located in the heart of Mattinata's historic center. The covered terrace, enclosed by glass windows, made for a warm and welcoming evening, despite the weather outside being less than ideal. Special highlights: the local scaldatelli, the delicious olives, the chilled sparkling water, and the impeccable presentation of the dishes. A place I highly recommend and will definitely return to. It's always a pleasure to find places like this, where the quality of the food and hospitality come together to create an unforgettable experience. *Compliments to Locanda del Farrier for the excellent service and high-quality cuisine!*"

07/01/2026: Aside from the price (€80 per person), the negative thing that most influenced this review was the waiter's response to the request for a discount. He said, "The discount at the supermarket." There are many ways to respond, and in a crowded place, a loud response like that wouldn't even be given in a dive... the food was good, but for that price, I'd prefer something else. P.S. After the review, I was contacted by the owner who made some strange allusions to our status. I hope he doesn't do that to everyone who goes and has a bad experience... I'm reposting the previously flagged and obscured review.

06/12/2025: Passing through Trani, we chose this place for lunch. The location is stunning and very well-maintained. We ate at a table with two high stools and an open kitchen. The staff, especially the owner, were wonderful, but above all, the seafood was delicious. The menu and two tastings of spectacular first courses were included. If I return to Trani, I'll definitely be back.
