11/11/2025: Never disappoints! Excellent steakhouse. Don't get too carried away, otherwise you risk overdoing it. The meat was excellent and well-cooked. For two, we ordered four spicy sausages, a skewer of spicy bombette, ten turcinieddhi (splendidly cooked), a generous portion of beef strips, a portion of excellent baked potatoes, a cassata, a liter of house rosé wine, and a liter of water. Price was €28 per person. I'd say it's a fair value given the quality. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the young waiters were truly attentive and professional.

09/11/2025: We went to this grill restaurant near the center of Brindisi last night and had the meat. Everything was delicious, but unfortunately, we realized after we got the bill, and it had been miscalculated. The three of us spent €110. Furthermore, we didn't have a receipt for the total, but we were charged €40 each.

10/10/2025: Tucked away in a small alley is this delightful restaurant with a friendly staff and excellent food. Our group of 10 tried both starters and mains, and everyone raved about the flavors and freshness. Add in some wonderful Puglian wine, and this restaurant was a real winner for our group. The staff spoke just enough English to help us navigate the menu, but everyone else there as Italian which to us was a good sign. If we go back to Locorotondo, this place will be at the top of our list.

08/10/2025: A delicious meal of lamb chops, very tender and cooked to perfection, ravioli with eggplant and fresh tomatoes, and excellent glasses of white and red wine... Quality service, a subdued atmosphere, and moderate background music: everything we're looking for!!! We're waiting for dessert to conclude... a flawless course: the pistachio and mandarin dessert was sublime, the Buffalo dessert too... we really enjoyed ourselves... thank you very much. We highly recommend it. 🫶🫶

06/10/2025: It's fine for one night. The rooms are comfortable and clean, but poorly soundproofed. The elevator is very noisy. The restaurant offers a limited, touristy menu. However, the reception and restaurant staff are extremely courteous and helpful.

18/10/2025: A beautiful property surrounded by greenery. The owner is incredibly kind; you can immediately tell he loves his job. Local produce is used. A place that takes you away from reality, both for the beauty that surrounds you and the quality of the food served. I think I made the best choice for the location, the food, and the staff. My mom was so happy to celebrate her birthday here. Congratulations again!

18/10/2025: I'm sorry to give this restaurant such a low rating, as it's cozy and the food is good, but the service is slow, very slow. To give you an idea, it took us two hours to eat and 15 minutes just to get our coffee. There were only two of us.

It's without a doubt the best restaurant we've been to since the beginning of our stay in Puglia. And what about the welcome? A huge thank you to our server, who took care of us with rare attention, from the beginning to the end of the meal. An unforgettable experience, which we recommend without hesitation. 🙏💫

18/11/2025: How do you ensure a smooth flow as a restaurant? Come see for yourself. Super efficient! We had the last table, so the cordon for the terrace closed, but a table quickly became available and new guests could be welcomed. Service is also fast, and the dishes are served quickly. We didn't feel rushed at all, but we weren't particularly welcome either. We opted for the schiaffoni and the pistacchio pizza. They were good and very tasty. We were on our way again in 30 minutes, perfect if you still want to see something in Polignano or the surrounding area.

23/10/2025: Review: Chalet Degli Ulivi (visit in August 2025) Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment – ​​even though we were really looking forward to it after reading so many good reviews. The service was completely overwhelmed: only one waiter was allowed to take orders, the others seemed to wander around aimlessly, only allowed to serve or clear away. The wait was correspondingly long – and even when our glasses were long empty, no one thought to ask if we wanted something else to drink. Our child's meal arrived 20 minutes before the adults', and our plates arrived one by one with an even longer delay. Nothing is more uncomfortable than when one person at a table is already finished while another is just getting started. The playground area was also a disappointment: there was a charge, although this wasn't clearly communicated anywhere – neither on the website nor on Facebook. We came specifically for that. Food? Mediocre. The pasta and pizza were okay, the meat was actually good – but when the wrong side dishes arrive (four sad potato slices for €5 instead of fries!) and the "mixed salad" consists only of green salad, without the fennel or cucumbers as advertised, you eventually lose patience. The ambiance is nice, yes. But a beautiful wooden house alone doesn't make a good restaurant. Anyone who relies on its view instead of organization, service, and honesty won't have satisfied customers in the long run. By the way, we then had to wait another 30 minutes for the bill – a worthy end to a frustrating evening. Conclusion: Nice restaurant, unfortunately with a lot of show and little substance. Three stars – only because the meat was really good.

18/10/2025: Arrived at a nearby agriturismo/masseria whose restaurant was closed for the season. Googled and found Chalet Degli Ulivi. Great find. Being Saturday night our last minute reservation using What's App got us outside but under cover. The restaurant provided a wrap for my wife. Nice touch. We started with the caciocavallo al forno. Who doesn't love good melted chesse? And this was good. I had the Bombette Pugliesi and these were great, the potatoes also delicious. My wife enjoyed the iberico pork which was devine! Amazingly tender texture and full of flavor. All paired nicely with a wonderful, bold yet mature fruit balanced palate primitivo. We finished with an amazing tiramisu. So many tiramisu are just so so, this one was both delicious and cleverly presented in a flower pot. This was a wonderful meal.

20/11/2025: Wonderful dinner, typical Bari location, top-notch menu, authentic food and exceptional dishes, romantic setting, polite and friendly staff (ask for Mimmo), best pizza in Bari! I absolutely recommend it, the best!!!

07/11/2025: A traditional, rustic, and welcoming restaurant with a homey feel. Friendly, helpful staff, with clear menu explanations. Excellent extra virgin olive oil served at Peranzana's table. The first courses, main courses, and desserts were delicious. We'll be back.
