31/08/2025: When at the end of August you're still looking for a thrill, a surprise without the obvious, a quiet corner of quality before returning to work... well, here's the answer. Google "spaghetteria in Bari" but it redirects you to Bitetto and you find yourself in front of a cathedral in the desert. You're greeted by a dazzling smile (rare elsewhere these days) from the staff member, followed by the welcoming spirit of the rest of the staff, including a precise and attentive waiter who, like the waitress, pampers you and assists you in portioning, choosing, and making you feel at home. The location is also surprising inside, and the dishes straddle the line between tradition and innovation without overdoing it, since a chocolate bar of Altamura cream for dessert is nothing if not innovative yet perfectly in keeping with tradition, just like the initial experience with a tasting of crispy bread and locally sourced olive oil. What can I say? 5/4/5/5 is my rating, because the missing star will be added next time I try the carbonara and a dessert with almonds (from Toritto, I'd say) and pure dark chocolate, which I know the staff will embrace as my dream and make it a reality! I'm counting on it! The atmosphere was also great after dinner: a quiet area, smiling residents, and no digestive issues, confirming the quality of the ingredients. P.S.: The table overlooking the kitchen was also strategic, from which I glimpsed the unique cacio e pepe preparation and even a few tastings here and there from the staff. And when the staff eats what you eat, you no longer have any doubts about the quality. Thanks for making us feel good.

31/08/2025: Attentive and punctual service. The food is excellent, and the care and quality of the ingredients are evident in the dishes. The only flaw is the organic Coke, which is terrible.

28/09/2025: ✨ A real favorite! The chef is simply incredibly talented: each dish we tasted was an explosion of flavors, perfectly mastered. It's without a doubt the best restaurant we've been to since the beginning of our stay in Puglia. And what about the welcome? A huge thank you to our server, who took care of us with rare attention, from the beginning to the end of the meal. An unforgettable experience, which we recommend without hesitation. 🙏💫

18/10/2025: I'm sorry to give this restaurant such a low rating, as it's cozy and the food is good, but the service is slow, very slow. To give you an idea, it took us two hours to eat and 15 minutes just to get our coffee. There were only two of us.

18/10/2025: Excellent place to enjoy local seafood dishes. Tasting menu of 8 courses was very nice and fairly priced, but courses 2 & 3 and 7 & 8 were served together, which caused quite some confusion and disappointment given we were expecting 2 more courses to come. If we would have been told beforehand it wouldn’t have been an issue and we would have portioned our wine differently.

01/09/2025: Great place, we had a great time at Anima e Cuore. Smiling and attentive waiters, very pleasant. The dishes were very good, up to our expectations. A menu offering pizzas as well as typical Salento land and sea specialties. I recommend 100%!

16/10/2025: This farm Stay is an oasis away from the busy cities located out in a quiet countryside. You are surrounded by an olive Orchard with very kind staff to make your stay perfect. The restaurant here is strictly top-notch, serving the best and freshest local foods.

15/10/2025: We loved our short stay. The hotel is loaded with character, and the staff is welcoming and attentive. Dinner was very good, and the breakfasts bountiful. The property and surroundings are beautiful. Easy to get to Ostuni and all other towns of note.

07/10/2025: A fantastic restaurant, out in the countryside. Beautiful ambiance, with a very attentive staff. We were here with our young children, and they were very friendly and accommodating. The food was very, very good! They grill fresh food outside. The food is also very healthy and reasonably priced. We highly recommend it!

06/10/2025: I read a fairly recent review by "Yolanda" saying this place gave 5-star gluten free food with amazing service and atmosphere. That is a total lie. I asked for gluten free options and they said "Salad?". Then offered sausage and potatoes. The sausage was horribly dry and overcooked. The salad was iceberg lettuce with pizza toppings. The potatoes were decent but drowned in olive oil. I appreciate them trying, though. My wife had a regular Quattro Stagione pizza which she said was decent. Service was brusque, almost to the point of rudeness. We arrived at the restaurant on a cold night wanting to sit inside and were brought to the back of the building to a covered rooftop patio with a few small heaters, where everyone was eating with their winter jackets on while the restaurant below was empty. A bit of a head scratcher. If you're gluten free (I'm Celiac), try your luck somewhere else, but if you can eat regular pizza, this place was turning tables away as they were so busy, so that must mean something!
