25/06/2025: It was a pleasant experience, a place slightly out of the way from the historic center of the city. We went for dinner and we were out. The menu offers both land and sea. The dishes were good, with a good presentation. The service was fast and friendly. The prices are fair. I recommend this place!

Mariano, the host and "host" of exception, always cheerful and available, allows you to feel at ease with a simple chat and a smile. Highly recommended for those who want to escape from the formalities of routine and feel "embraced" even outside their own home.

13/06/2025: Greetings to all lovers of good food! Today I visited this picturesque restaurant with my girlfriend. It was quite late around 10 o'clock. But for the staff, it was no problem and we got an amazing table with pictures of famous Italian celebrities and in all these pictures was an unknown man. After a while, I realized that this man is the owner himself and works in his restaurant. Well, not exactly alone. His right hand man on this day was Gabrielle the amazing waiter who took care of us like he had known us all his life. We were warned at home before we left for Italy that the service here wasn't that good, but Gabriel proved us all wrong! What I experienced today must have been experienced by kings in medieval times an incredible variety of starters to go with the excellent wine and finally an amazing dessert. It was a privilege to eat here and taste a culture I had never tasted before. I wish the owner many more amazing years filled with equally great business and I wish Gabriel the best for the future! 13/07/2025: We went for dinner at Antica Trattoria Comes on a recent evening and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly it filled up right after opening at 8:30 PM—a clear sign this beloved spot lives up to its reputation . Despite the busy scene, service was great. There was just one waiter on duty, yet he remained friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening—an impressive performance under pressure . To start, we had the seafood salad, simple yet expertly fresh—letting the natural flavors shine. Next up were the seafood cavatelli and seafood risotto, both bursting with authentic, briny “flavours of the sea.” They were beautifully executed and deeply satisfying. We finished with a chocolate mousse, velvety rich and decadently deep, yet never too heavy. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to simple local dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. If you’re in Polignano a Mare and craving honest, flavorful seafood in a charming, lively trattoria, this is a must-visit.

03/07/2025: All the food we ate was absolutely delicious 😍 Pasta “al dente” with seafood was fresh and tasty. Orecchiette (the local pasta type) with octopus and tomato sauce were extremely good 👍 The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The place has indoor and outdoor tables just on the square in the center of Bari Vecchia. The only disadvantage - you have to be patient with the timing. It takes a while to get your dishes ready.

27/06/2025: Tasty dishes (mostly seafood), fresh ingredients (fish was from the catch of the day), nice atmosphere and personnel. We had dinner here both days while in Gallipoli. Definitely not a tourist trap.

26/06/2025: A completely overrated place, in my opinion! We ordered the tasting menu, and it left us somewhat indifferent. The service was a bit unfriendly, and they brought our dishes practically at the same time, which meant we didn't enjoy the meal because we had to eat as quickly as possible so the dishes wouldn't get cold. Quite disappointing because we had high expectations. Still, the place is beautiful and the wine was delicious, which is why I'm giving it three stars.

The food is simply delicious, prepared with care and fresh ingredients, which blend into tasty and well-presented dishes. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and their commitment makes the experience even more unique. Highly recommended for those looking for excellent cuisine and extraordinary humanity!

17/07/2025: Tutto perfetto. Cena deliziosa. Location incantevole: nel giardino si possono ammirare degli ulivi tra i più belli che io abbia mai visto. Il servizio è curato e attento. Il menù offre dei piatti molto invitanti che ti fanno venire l'imbarazzo della scelta. I piatti sono ottimi: siamo rimasti colpiti soprattutto dalla bontà della calamarata e dei ravioli. Qualità prezzo è eccellente: per una cena in due abbiamo speso 75€ (per 4 portate e un calice di vino). Infine, un plauso va alla gentilezza e alla cordialità del personale: è stato davvero piacevole poterci intrattanere 10 minuti a conversare con la proprietaria dopo aver terminato la cena. Consigliatissimo.

17/07/2025: Una cena al ristorante Il Fienile è un’esperienza che resta impressa. Immerso in un’atmosfera accogliente sotto un perfato, questo locale sorprende per la cura nei dettagli, la cortesia del servizio e soprattutto per l’elevata qualità della cucina. Ho avuto il piacere di iniziare il mio percorso gastronomico con un antipasto di seppia accompagnata da patate e salicornia: un piatto raffinato, perfettamente bilanciato tra la delicatezza della seppia e la sapidità naturale della salicornia, con le patate ed olio a fare da morbido contrappunto capace di valorizzare al massimo la materia prima con semplicità e gusto. Il momento più piacevole è stata la calamarata con scorfano, calamaretti e datterini: un piatto di straordinaria eleganza e sapidità molto equilibrata. La pasta, cotta alla perfezione, accoglieva un sugo ricco ma equilibrato, in cui il sapore intenso dello scorfano si fondeva armoniosamente con la delicatezza dei calamaretti e la dolcezza dei datterini. Ottimo piatto. Il Fienile è il luogo ideale per chi cerca una cucina sincera ma mai banale, dove ogni portata è pensata con intelligenza e servita con sorriso. Ci tornerò senz’altro – e lo consiglio con entusiasmo a chi ama lasciarsi stupire da sapori veri, senza compromessi.

06/07/2025: Outdoor venue, in a square closed to traffic. Relaxing atmosphere, efficient and punctual service. Some appetizers and drinks are chosen at the table, the second courses inside, cooked to order. We tried the crispy burrata with raw ham, roasted meatballs and French fries, to start. Inside we chose (at the refrigerated counter with raw meat) Sicilian and spicy sausage, skewers, one with courgettes, one with speck, a spicy type and turcinieddi. Other times we chose different things. Everything was delicious, a pleasure every time. Obviously not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. Suitable for the disabled as two of the four entrances to the square are without stairs. Highly recommended for those who love grills.

22/07/2025: We had dinner at Tuccino and the food was good. The fish was fresh and cooked simply but carefully, and the raw seafood was excellent. The service was attentive and professional. Everything was very pleasant, except for the coffee, which was truly undrinkable, for which they apologized. A disappointing detail at the end of the meal, but overall, a good experience.

29/06/2025: Intimate and cozy in the heart of the historic center. The very kind and helpful staff, impeccable service and a lot of attention to the diners, from the smallest to the "older" ones. The dishes... phenomenal, from the presentation to the flavours. I'll be back again!

04/07/2025: We had dinner here through The Fork. We ordered an octopus salad (dressed octopus) to start; it was very well-made, tender, and flavorful. For main courses, we ordered tuna with pistachio cream and ravioli with crayfish cream. The pasta was delicious, and the tuna was spectacular—juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the pistachio cream gave it a special touch. The place is very pleasant, with both a covered and open terrace. It has beautiful views of an olive grove and the sea.
