A few steps from the seafront, a magical and beautiful place.
It is worth visiting the Chalet degli ulivi even just for the location. Olive trees everywhere, refined furnishings, attention to detail.
We had the pizza, excellent Neapolitan dough with a high edge (very soft!) and a thin interior. Above average desserts, their "Terramisù" really special in the earthenware jar.
It is really worth it.

The tables are a bit crowded together, especially outside.
Keep in mind this is Mediterranean fish, it’s very different from cold water fish. I tried the raw platter and it wasn’t at all what I expected. Everything else was amazing, I highly recommend the pastas.
Service was very good!
06/07/2025: Just been there today with my family for lunch. This restaurant by far is the best during our Puglia trip. We ordered today’s special - lobster pasta - and Vongole, shrimp pasta, a prawn dish, raw oysters and a seafood pasta, plus Tiramisu. Every dish was so decisions and the staff were all friendly and welcoming! Being a foodie family with love in Italian food, our standard is rather high and this restaurant certainly hit the mark !!

09/07/2025: If you’re looking for authentic, THIS IS IT!
My wife found an article referring to this Osteria and we figured we’d give it a try.
Not surprisingly we were the first customers at noon, but the place quickly filled up - not a single tourist, so we knew we were in the right place.
We ordered the house appetivi and everything was delicious, from the meats and cheeses to the pickled onions and meatballs and mint infused squash… it was all wonderful.
Then we each ordered a pasta and they were all unique and tasty with the orchiette and rape di chime (some sort of green… turnip or broccoli) was the winner!
Ohh and I forgot to mention: we tried the Asino, or donkey! Tasted like roast beef, but a new adventure for us all!
The homemade tiramisu also excellent, made with real mascarpone and worth the trip alone! Then they brought little bottles of amaro and lemoncello with the towns’ famous almond and cherry cookies… a delightful end to a wonderful meal.
They really made us feel not just welcome, but at home. A truly original and authentic experience, in a cute little town.

24/06/2025: Borgo Egnazia is undeniably breathtaking, the architecture is spectacular, the grounds are immaculate, and the entire property is designed like a dream. It’s one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever seen, and there’s no doubt it has a unique charm.
A special mention goes to Patrizia, who served us at breakfast every morning with a big smile, thoughtful recommendations, and warm energy. She truly stood out and was a beautiful way to start our days.
That said, the overall service and ambiance fell well below 5-star standards. The hotel feels flat and lacks the warmth, attentiveness, and energy you’d expect from a luxury property. It’s extremely quiet, which may suit some, but it felt lifeless and impersonal during our stay.
We encountered several issues:
• Our shower was blocked the entire week. We mentioned it twice, and nothing was done. A technician only came the day before we left, and the issue still wasn’t résolves. There was no follow-up, no apology, just indifference, which was quite surprising at this level.
• No conditioner in the shower, again, for a hotel of this standard, it’s a basic amenity. I brought my own, but still had to ask, which shouldn’t be the case.
• Daily inconsistencies: one night an amenity kit was missing, another day the minibar wasn’t restocked, the next there were no teas. These small things add up when you expect consistency and seamlessness.
• I had booked a cooking class at the start of the stay, specifically for pasta, the only one I was interested in. I was told it would be Monday, all confirmed, then the day before I was informed it would no longer be possible as someone had booked it privately. Again, no attempt to make up for it, just another sign of disorganization and lack of care.
Overall, Borgo Egnazia is worth seeing once, but more for its visual beauty than the experience. I’d suggest staying 1 to 3 nights max and treating it like a peaceful design retreat, not a full-service luxury resort. Sadly, the magic of the place is not matched by the service behind it.

I was blown away by the quality of the dishes: every "small dish" is a discovery, with unconventional flavors. Forget the usual seafood; the variety and selection truly rivals anything else, with the authenticity and warmth of a true fishmonger transformed into a restaurant.
The portions are perfect, allowing you to savor several of their "thousand ideas" without feeling overwhelmed, but completely satisfied.
And then there's him, the soul of the place: Gigi! A waiter who is much more than a waiter. Fun, outspoken, and with an exuberant personality (yes, he might swear a little, but always in a friendly way!), Gigi knows how to entertain and make every guest feel part of a big family. What more can I say? If you're in Bisceglie, treat yourself to this gem. Pescheria Mare Blu Fish & Food isn't just a restaurant, it's a complete sensory experience that will leave you with a smile on your face and the desire to return!

25/06/2025: I returned after years and I have to change my review because over time restaurants tend to get worse, well here at Muraya there is the exception that proves the rule and from 4 I have to give 5 stars. Spectacular restaurant, sincere and delicious cuisine, elegant but comfortable environment without unnecessary sophisms. When I come to Bari after having taken a walk in the spectacular old city and a passage on the most beautiful seafront in Italy, I will always stop in this jewel a stone's throw from the center with the certainty of eating excellently and never paying more than is right.
